I got the T-1844 Tourmaline it was #1 on my list.

T-1844 Tourmaline(J) 1.65 ct. 7.6mm round brilliant[Gec].This Mozambique tourmaline has a very slightly reddish pink color in natural light and an orangy, peachy pink color under incandescent light. Flawless at 10x. BB

YAY Brandy.....this is a BEAUTY!!!

Well done Yingh on getting the sapphire, I love looking at everyone''s photos here, especially the whole gem to setting process.

I just got confirmation I am getting this beauty, I stayed up till 3 am local time to order, apparently 4 people ordered the same stone within 30 seconds of each other! This is my first garnet and I am really happy.

I didn''t buy anything, I can''t impulse purchase, it''s just not in my nature. I need to see it first and then ask lots of questions. I think I''ve missed out on a lot of gems that way, but c''est la vie.

I can''t wait to see everyone''s pictures!!

Will, TL, I did email Barry and let him know that I wanted the brother to the sunstone, which was also cut by Michael Edwards. It''s tricolored, with light yellow, medium green and peach. I''m really looking forward to that one.

As always, I''ll take a bunch of pictures!!

Hi Lori! I haven't bought the stone, lol. I was just browsing, figuring nothing would be left. I like the more saturated color of this tourmaline, but I'm baffled as to why no one has snatched it up yet. Maybe this kind of color is not preferable? It does have a couple of inclusions, but they seem to be quite small. I was hoping someone would tell me why I shouldn't buy it.

Is that the 5.8mm? When I was picking my teal last week, he initially showed me that one, but then realized that it wasn''t the right color to match my very specific need. I loved it then and really wanted it to be the one since my orange matching stone is 5.7mm. I didn''t want to consider it to purchase today since I''m in the process of setting my teal one. HOWEVER, you are gonna love it. It is a really great color. Congrats!

This garnet and the malaya is so pretty, but it is 2am my time when Barry opens up the website, so I am always late to the party. You mentioned you stayed till 3am local time, are you based in Japan?

Oh I think the stone is gorgeous. Perhaps it is because the price is a little higher than some people want to spend? He had several that had a much lower price point. The saturation of the color is great. And the price is ok for a 7.9mm tourmaline of that quality and cut. The bigger the stone, the higher price per carat since it is a bit harder to find a quality piece of rough to cut.
