OK, it is not easy to take photos of your own ear (I tried to avoid overdoing the close-up!) but here goes . . .

CharmyPoo, happy to share - my jeweler in Hong Kong is Mariane Jewellery & Watches Co., she is on the ground level, Shop 21/F on Hankow Road in Kowloon (across the Harbor from central Hong Kong) - it''s about a 10 min. walk from the Star Ferry terminal, or a 1 min. walk from the Tsim Shau Tsui MTR stop (take the Peking Road exit) -- landmark wise, Hankow Road runs adjacent to the shopping annex at the Peninsula Hotel. Any of the girls in the shop are wonderful to work with - it is crammed full of goodies, and they will custom-do anything you like. Timing is quite good if you are visiting, my friend was able to have her aqua set in a Legacy-like setting in about 3-4 days. A long visit to Mariane''s and lunch at Nobu at the Intercontinental makes a nice excursion

CharmyPoo - in my experience, prices there are good value for quality - I''m sure there are cheaper places, but I have been pleased with the workmanship over the years so I am loyal! I meant to tell you, Power Jewelry (2-3 storefronts ahead one same side of street) also has a good rep in the expat community, I just have not used them myself but might be a good point of comparison.
