When it hits 43 in April, I can assure you that around here, people will start wearing shorts! Haha.

lol when it is 20 or above I will go out and get the mail in shorts and a winter coat.

Will go out and have a smoke wearing them fairly often.

Cracks up my neighbors.

This year my knees don''t like it much however so just do it when getting the mail.

Biggest problem is my elbow it don''t like anything under 76.

Haha, you guys make me feel better. I''m a Seattleite through & through, and of course the whole city is all "Oh God it''s the Snowpocalypse!" with 6 or 8 inches outside now, and 18 degrees last night. (It''s about 30 outside right now though). No work today. No work tomorrow. Won''t drive anywhere; most of us are menaces on snowy roads, I sure am. We are snow-wusses.

It''s freezing in the house though- I''m under a blankie and two cats (they''re under the blankie too) because the DH unwisely put enormous bookshelves over the baseboard heater and we can''t turn it on without a major excavation... and I mean major. So just a space heater. Third cat, Sonar, is grilling herself in front of the heater and hasn''t budged in days- she''s singed/curled a few whiskers actually! I told her that her grill marks are showing now and she''s clearly well done, but she won''t move (she''s a mackerel tabby, so she has permanent "grill marks"

).

Big orange O.P. (pronounced "Opie", so called because he was/is the Orange Problem) is fascinated with snowflakes. He pounced on them a bunch yesterday when we let him on the deck, plowing around like a furry snowplow, and kept snapping at them in midair. He finally caught a huge glob in his mouth and it froze his face in this silly lopsided, one fanged sneer and then he was totally freaked out and raced back in and displaced Sonar in front of the space heater ASAP. Too silly!

I don''t even know the temp outside right now, 50 maybe.
But yesterday we had the AC on, it was hot. Today the heat...
I give up.

Thanks to yesterday''s blizzard, DD had her flight home cancelled last night. She is rebooked for tonight. She said half of her flight was soldiers heading home for Christmas. She is lucky since the soldiers got all the remaining first class seats for today (and rightly so), and most eveyone else was rebooked for Monday. Right now it is a balmy 10 deg F, but windchills are -15 to -20 F. DH went to church this morning and said the highways were icy and there were three spinouts on the way. I stayed by the phone in case DD called. Praying this flight goes smoothly.

Just thought I would share my misery.

I feel for you right now it''s about -10 with -30 windchills where I''m at. Last night actual temp was -18 and around -40 for the windchill. YEOUCH!!!!
