#JOTW Bling fest! My two new engagement rings and bands

Damn you, Laila! Blue Nile , a double halo , a three stone halo , AND new bands? Why must you make me drool on my laptop?!? Love. Them. ALL. Please post more pictures! Gorgeous!

@ Feb! How is your own bling journey coming? Any new changes or resets?

My current set is a Jared halo with two curved diamond bands, all soldered together. I wore them unsoldered for a while but having 3 rings to take off and on throughout the day is a pain! I have to take them off when I put lotion on (about 7 times a day in the winter), so I went ahead and soldered them together and I don't regret it at all! I might do a thread on them, especially for people looking for budget rings (got the setting and bands gently pre-loved off of ebay for much less than new retail).

I'm not changing these rings for a while. If I upgrade my diamond, it'll be a Blue Nile round in a platinum halo setting (their split shank halo setting- love it!). But if I keep my diamond, I don't plan to change the setting for a looooong time.

hi... i stumbled upon this forum and saw your beautiful duet ring from Blue Nile. i am thinking of getting the duet as well but in white gold. my concert was, sidestone color is I and clarity is SI2. i see that your setting is platinum and the sidestone specs are color H and clarify of VS2. may I ask if the sidestones are white in appearance and do they actually sparkle? do you think the specs on the platinum and white gold version would be that noticeable? i am actually just scared that the sidestone diamonds might look dark or like ash.... if you know what i mean... can you shed some light on this? how's the workmanship on this duet ring?

Thanks! I just love the Duet and think the workmanship is lovely. It's sort of a dainty setting though, and I would strongly consider the Plat over the white gold, just for durability's sake and for keeping those pave stones secure. And also, you get the upgraded side stones too. I am really happy with the sidestones, they are VERY sparkly! Even if you get the white gold version with the I/SI2 sidestones, Blue Nile is nice quality and I'm sure they will still be sparkly. They have never disappointed me with the workmanship and quality of their jewelry.
