Blue Green Tahitians!

I love LOVE love my new Tahitians! I was smitten from the first moment I opened their boxes! They looked even more lovely after I had been wearing them for a while. The blue green colors are amazing and the pearls themselves are out of this world BEAUTIFUL! Their lustre is silky and gorgeous, their surfaces are really smooth, and no blemishes or flaws jump out at me. I love their weight and warmth around my neck. I went with the 14k white laser ball clasp and the 14k white gold classic setting for the earrings and I really like both. Oh and they are a perfect match to my Kamoka studs These are my first Tahitians, but definitely will not be my last My pearl princess flipped for these and Dh even commented on how beautiful they looked. Really, I couldn't be happier with them.

Haha, sorry for making you ladies wait for photos. Yesterday was overcast and we were having heavy rain and t-storms, so I was not able to take photos. I did grab a few this morning while I am out and about (it is still overcast though) and I will get some shots of the pearls by themselves when I am home later today.

So did the color end up leaning towards darker or lighter than you expected?

b]bsomlo[/b] I would say they are slightly darker than the PP photos. The last glamour shot I posted on this thread from PP is just about true to color. I cannot come close to catching their true color with my iphone.

Thank you lorrisesy and jenncent I do love their amazing color! These are my first larger pearls and I have decided that the length is too long for me though, they are 17.5" and I plan to have them restrung at 16.5". I know I will love them even more when they are shorter.

Litgeek -- I think the length is beautiful on you, but I am also a fan of quite short necklaces -- bordering on choker style. I think they frame the face beautifully when they are short.

Even though you have gorgeous earrings, will you make a pair of dangling earrings out of the removed pearls? Who will do the restringing for you?

I love the round look the shorter strands have compared to the oval scoop of the longer length, if that makes sense? I am quite thin and get self conscious when things look big and just hang on me. I feel like a little girl playing dress up in my Moms pearls I am waiting to hear back from PP on having them restrung. I haven't really thought about what to do with the extra pearls. I'll keep you posted though!

Thanks! The top two pearls from each side were removed and sent back to me. At least now I know my perfect strand length.

I wish! Sadly, the extra pearls are too small for bracelet pearls ~ they are only around 8mms. I am thinking about drop earrings for dd...I think she would really love them
