The dress looks great either way! What a great find, congrats.
If I HAD to vote, I''d say strapless (which is odd because I''m a strap kinda girl!)

No straps.
Beautiful dress, congratulations!!!

Thank you!!! You ladies are awesome, and so very sweet.

I was leaning towards no straps, but with the conflicting opinions of friends/family, I wasn''t so sure. I sort of wanted straps to break up my broad, bony shoulders, but the straps almost seem to emphasize them! The dress holds up just fine without, so I''m not afraid of accidentally "exposing" myself.

I am also heartily stoked to have gotten such a good deal on it. I think I''m going to have to become an official ebay bride.

Now to find a venue. I''ve been a little lax on that. "I''ll call them tomorrow..."

gorgeous dress, and you look gorgeous in it. I love getting good deals, and $300 is a smoking good deal

...I think you have decided already but I agree with the votes for no straps.

Gorgeous dress and for $300? A FABULOUS find.

As the previous poster said, it looks like you've already decided, but I'm going to throw my unpopular vote in anyway: STRAPS! Definitely straps.

From the back, they almost flow into the gorgeous gathered train, if that makes any sense. They also frame your bust and neck area beautifully. Don't get me wrong, the dress looks pretty without them as well, but actually *seeing* them makes the strapless version seem...incomplete?

My opinion, for what it's worth.

Gorgeous dress!
Do what you are comfortable with, but if you do go strapless, for piece of mind, do see an alterations person with a great rep. That dress is designed to have straps so might lack some of the "architecture" that strapless dresses are made with. I was b-maid in a wedding in Dec with no straps and I thought the dress fit perfectly when I tried it on...well, come to find out during dancing that the fabric stretched with movement, (like jeans you haven''t washed in ages only a sped up process). This was a nice dress too, and I thought I would save $50 by not getting it altered. A gay groomsman ended up duct taping me into the dress...that is all i have to say about that. PLEASE see an alterations specialist! You look too lovely to have to add duct tape to the ensemble.
