Bought yourself a Tennis bracelet?

So by the sounds of it this ring is crap? Lol

Hi all!
I have a weird question…. Now I’m not rich by any means. I make ok and I’m a single mom. My son is 17 and has a job and is out of school. I live in an older apartment that some would say it’s old and not upgraded. I do drive a 20 year old Lexus SUV lol that I just keep maintained.

Is it crazy that I want to purchase a diamond tennis bracelet? I can just pay it off.
I feel guilty and materialistic
Am I nuts?

Have any of you ladies did this?

One life if it makes you happy no ones business.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh momma.. you want that piece of cake without the calories or sugar? You want that all wheel drive with the turbo that runs without gas? You want all the bling without the buck? Of course you deserve it lol.. welcome to my world!

1. of course you deserve it [no one on the internet can convince you otherwise, only you can do that
2. weather it's moissanite or a diamond, your budget is your budget, make one and stick to it then have fun hunting for bling!!!
3. remember-black friday and shopping season is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!! save your purse pennies for that amazing black friday deal
4. consider buying used diamonds if you want more bling for your buck my girl..the sky is the limit

and as ALWAYS..
if you find a goody post it here for a PS review before you buy..the ps community will tell you if you're being taken for a ride or if there is a better deal around the corner. I've never met a better group of savvy blinger babies in my life! I <3 this place :)

Not crap at all. Maybe a touch overpriced for the quality, but the known quantity, easy returns, and customer service from Blue Nile may make up for it. My personal preference is to get the most for my money that I can. I also think Pricescope in general values diamond cut more than the big box vendors do. In my experience, cut makes a big difference in the appearance of a piece. So, I was suggesting some options where you could get similar color and clarity, with a known cut quality. I honestly don't own any of Blue Nile's pieces, so I can't speak to the cut quality of their melee. I do own pieces from Costco, ID Jewelry, and David Klass though and know that their melee cut is generally excellent. Places like Whiteflash and Brian Gavin have ideal cut melee but they are much more expensive - to some it's worth the difference and to others it's not.

Can't wait to see what you choose!

Are I SI2 ok? There’s a ring I like
It’s 1 carat AE54258A-8C00-4360-9290-FB52F2691525.png
I have this ring in platinum, which came with upgraded diamonds (H VS2), so I can’t speak to BN’s I/SI2 stones, but the quality of the ring is very nice. It’s the band in my profile pic. BN has a great return policy so you have nothing to lose in trying it. Good luck with your decision.

I have that exact ring! However it was $430 on September 21, so not sure why it's $1300 now. I think it's super pretty and just as nice as the F, VS1 ring I bought from blue nile years ago. I was worried too but honestly can't tell the difference between the 2 rings. Good luck!
Or if you want studs, lightbox (lab diamond) have some really nice ones in their basic line. I think it's like $700 for 1ct in the silver bezel and they look large and white. I want the princess cut but waiting for further discount :)

Yes the lightbox studs are awesome! The 1ctw rounds (1/2 carat each earring) in the martini settings are my everyday studs and they are super sparkly and a good size. Lightbox has sales sometimes, and you can often get discounts on them through Bloomingdale's.

I definitely think it's nice to treat yourself to some sparkly jewelry! It seems like you are considering a few different things. I would be patient and figure out what you really want vs. getting something just to get something (although I understand the desire).

Ok y’all I bought it lol. ‍♀️
here are some pics. I can’t get a good one- does mean the ring isn’t as good?
It’s very sparkly and feels good on this old hand!
I have an iPhone 11 so I did the best I could.
Let me know what you think. 3B44DF20-0413-434F-B2C2-57C37EEAAA9F.jpegE05CFD5C-A289-4680-975A-A02B96BE8494.jpeg19AB5964-4F12-48C2-95CC-AA9BB52FDA98.jpeg

It looks very pretty in a perfect size..It’s very hard to take photos of diamonds. I stink at it..If you can take a photo of it on your hand under a tree with filtered light through the leaves..that supposedly gives you a nice photo. Do you love it?

Yes but I don’t se inclusions lol
But again, my eyes are bad!

But yes I do like it! Surprised no one else has said anything

It looks gorgeous on you!

I think it’s really pretty! I’m so glad you like it. I’ve had good luck with Blue Nile!

I think it’s super sparkly and pretty! I love a classic diamond band. They can be worn anywhere. Do you like it? are you happy with it?

It looks great - classic, timeless, super sparkly! Enjoy!!!

The band is beautiful - it looks perfect on you!! I think it’s great you got a ring so you can look down and enjoy seeing it throughout the day. You have such pretty hands too!

I think it is beautiful! Congrats to you and enjoy the sparkles!!

Thank you!!!

That's very nice! A pretty ring on a pretty hand. And ya can't go wrong with a classic. Also, YOU can see the ring when you wear it, unlike earrings.

I settled my goodies vs. guilt issue by deciding on a jewelry budget. I keep track of my monthly amount (plus extra for birthday, X-mas etc. money, from any jewelry I sell and the funds from my little side job). My inner brat even gets to go over budget occasionally and then I "pay back" the deficit.

Before that, the fun was diminished because I really didn't know if a purchase was a good investment in my happiness or being a little too foolish and greedy, in my own mind. I like this way a lot better. :)

So I need some help.
I like the ring I have now. But I’m interested in selling the one I had before this one. It’s the rose gold 18k VS2 1/2 carat band.
I tried Circa? But I guess since it’s not name brand it won’t be taken? They rejected it.

I don’t have PayPal, and I’ve never sold any jewelry before. But it’s just sitting in a box in the drawer.

I did put it in the pre-loved section on here.

i played around with my ring yesterday. I think this was a good shot! For it being my phone!!8A73F097-9A96-4BEE-B516-1283D16C9693.jpeg

Ok I think I’ve lost my mind or maybe crazy hormones? So I’ve decided to return the eternity band ( Blue Nile ) I SI diamond band.

My Rose gold 1/2 carat tw. VS2 H color ring that sat in my drawer gets the win. I put it up cause I thought it was too small. I got the 1 carat eternity band for the upgrade, but honesty I think the rose gold one has much more sparkle and fire due to the specs.

And that looks good on me as my hands are petite and I think 1/2 carat for me is substantial. Funny how color and fire can make a difference. Not that the eternity band didn’t… maybe it’s knowing the specs weren’t as good as the other ring?

Hmm. I dunno. Poor Blue Nile. I return more than I keep .

Suggest you set a budget then enjoy your time looking, pounce when you see the item that makes your heart flip. Oh and def wear that rose gold baby!

On the note of worrying if it fits your lifestyle, who cares? Ensure you cover your commitments, have a rainy day fund and then get what makes you happy. There are a lot of people on this board who prefer sparklies over other things (e.g., I couldnt care less about tech and would never spend money on a newly released phone yet I rock diamonds every day)

Sounds like you may be wanting clear bang for buck but only at a good quality? A 5 or 7 stone would likely fit the bill, as you are seeing all the diamonds. ID Jewelry are very good at finding that sweet spot quality and price wise depending on your likes
