Your dress is SO beautiful! I love the beadwork and the back is amazing... and it''s a very flattering style for you.
Thanks! It''s funny because I never thought this would look good on me...I just loved it from afar. But once I put it on, I fell in love. I never thought I wanted beads, straps, or anything. I''m so happy I ended up with this dress!

I also find that it minimizes the bust area (which is good for me) and once it is altered it will look even better!!

Thank you so much FF! I just re-looked at your dress thread and you are going to be a stunning bride!! Thanks for the compliments...it means a lot!!

I have to run, so I''ll come back later with more info on the Rochester stores, but my advice is to definitely NOT buy VW or MS in Toronto. MEGA price differences in the states. Example. Mila is 5400 in Canada, and 3600 in the states!! And with our dollar?! Yikes!

However, I have a soft spot for Lee Ann Belter. I love the store, the people, the gowns, and I price compared to the states and the prices were bang on. PLUS they included the fact it was custom and all the alterations.

Back later!

Thanks for the tip, that is a HUGE price difference!
I do like Lea-Ann Belter''s stuff, and the fact that she''s a local designer too :_)
It was one of the first dresses I''ve tried so I have to go back aand see if I still feel the same about it.

Well good luck with your hunt and come back and let everyone know how it goes! When/where are you getting married?

As far as my dress goes, now I get to think about fun things like veils and jewellery!!

And here is MY DRESS! It is too big in the bust (which is NUTS - I don''t usually have extra room up top ;-) but that will obviously be adjusted when mine arrives...

Anddd....here it is! The Reem Acra ''Adored''!!!!
Oh my gosh, yes!!!!!! Stunning - just stunning!

Don''t worry! That is what we are here for! I''m in Toronto in October 2008 (as you can tell by my name...). Still a while away...but I''m glad to have this off my plate. I was actually getting tired of dress shopping (GASP!). Haha.

Thanks Mela! I didn''t know you were in Toronto (although looking back at your posts I''m surprised I didn''t notice earlier!).

I did ask my FI about the ring and all he would say was that he got it in the states. Not Toronto unfortunately. I had told him about pricescope one too many times for him to buy retail he said! haha.

I''m not sure if the setting was pre-made or custom...sorry!

I wonder how many Toronto Pscopers there are...

Thanks for the Hooray! I''m still pretty excited too!!

t.o. here as well...but i''m not getting married in t.o. october2008bride, we have the same wedding date.

Thanks! I''m assuming DDG is a good thing! ;-) I was worried for all of a second that maybe the back was too much for church, but I figured the Vicar will be in front of me until it is done...and after that it''s too late if he is not loving it ;-)

Nah...it''s a pretty laid back church so I should be fine! I think it will make for a nice surprise for the guests...as I walk up the aisle they will think "oh pretty!" and then as I walk past them, they''ll see the best part!

Now...I just have to wait a year to wear it ;-)

DDG = drop dead gorgeous. It''s a good thing.

algonquin park!! super duper small thing (10 people). just hanging out, eating great food, canoing, and getting married. it was the easiest thing to ''plan''. all i have to do is find something pretty to wear and show up. haha.

Woohoo October! You look beautiful in that dress! The back and the bustle are just amazing.

i think you made the perfect choice!! this dress blows the first one away and the back OMG i lovee it congrats

OMG - that is so stunning on you!!! Congrats!

well, i dont usually post on the forum, but i just want to chime in and say

you look absolutely breathtaking, and you have the perfect body too!

Thanks CrownJewel, Bella, Krissie and Hammurabi! I didn''t notice your comments till now, but thank you for chiming in!! I''m still so excited about it!! It''s funny...I''ve searched everywhere on the net for more pics of it just to stare at it, but it never looks quite the same as it does on me! I keep thinking "is that what I look like?"

Just goes to show that pictures aren''t always representative of how it will look on your own body!

Thanks again for the compliments! I really appreciate it!
