I've never worn a brooch but I've been finding some that I'm loving. Not sure where I would actually wear but it's seems so romantic!

I love brooches. They look fabulous on turtleneck sweaters and also on black blazers.

My dream brooch is the large Tiffany diamond and platinum dragonfly. Sigh. Goals.

Just watching a local cop drama on tv
its kind of a NZ version of midsummer murders - small rural town - unusually high number of weird murders
Anyway the youngish lady detective has a stylish bottle green coat on
but its crying out for a brooch

I have been searching for brooches since I decided to have a woman's dinner jacket/tuxedo made with at least 2 jackets - one in black and one in purple.

I found an eBay seller with repro brooches in CZ and Argentium Silver at reasonable prices, including double clips (I love double clips).

I have also been keeping an eye on pearl brooches too.

And brooch-pendants.

I could be wrong, however my understanding is that a clip just clips into place without using a pin and a catch to secure it, like clip on earrings.

Again, I could be wrong, one of the ways to wear a double clip brooch as two clips is for each side of a heart or rectangular necklace to have a clip.

I "wear" antique and vintage brooches/bar pins on my purses, where I can see them.

They're like little works of art that are just not being made anymore. CANNOT be made anymore. There are many, many beautiful vintage costume brooches that are amazing for not much money on Ruby Lane, Etsy, etc. Also VERY expensive ones like my avatar brooch.

It's hard, if not impossible, to find a ring that has the level of detail and craftsmanship that a fine antique brooch can have. And brooches are one size fits all. No disappointment that it's not my size!

I say, bring back the antique brooch!

i have a tiny cheap (possibly Avon) pin stuck to a purse i just love
I wish the present younger generation of royal ladies would do this with their brooches if they insist on ignoring them pile they seem to do
