mjohnson, I agree, about those that say that bezels do not shine as much as those that are set differently. this same diamond that i have was set as a six prong is now set as a bezel now is BLINDING In the sun, and before it did sparkle, but now i have to rearrange my hand to not distract myself (of course, i tend to look at it LOL) but others notice it so often because in the sun it is soooo sparkly! i am matching apples and apples here since it is the exact same diamond. it is neat to see the difference. of course it was set in white gold and it is now set in yellow gold so it should be duller from that too from what i have read.
i know it is not as fancy as what most on here have......however, considering what i have my hands into and what i do for a living i thought plain was better, less to mess up.....(when i can i train dogs, i have an illness that prevents me from doing it full time, but when able to do it i do) i also am always piddling around the house and use gloves to do that because i dont want to mess up the ring with the checmicals.

Thank you for starting this thread. I LOVE bezels, from these pics others will see why. These rings are to die for! Neatfreak always loved your ring in your avatar, the east-west bezel setting of your diamond.

OK, didn''t mean to post that photo, I meant to post this one!

The last photo was taken to show the damage to my centre stone, which has now been un-mounted and sent to Peter Torraca for a re-cut.

I''ll post a new photo when it''s all shiny again

Poshpepper, I''d like to shake the hand of the maker of that one! It must have taken months and months. What a piece of work!

So many pretty pieces!

Here''s one of mine. Not a diamond, though, it''s a rainbow moonstone. I picked this up from a designer in Maui. It reminded me of the ocean and I thought the gold setting was so unique. It changes colors in different lighting and it gets alot of compliments b/c it''s so different, I think.
