Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

msF- love the picture...too cute...

tacori, I never knew sleeping on your stomach could be a cause. I hope some of the tips will help you...

curly- you are so right about letting them do whatever to get the baby out. I had an epis. with my first but the stiches never really bothered me and tore with the second and again didn''t really notice anything...gotta love all the pain meds and tucks
41.gif
honestly, when i first had my second i was just kinda in a daze. i really don''t even remember much of that time but did get through it and you will too. i used to say going from one to two isn''t addition, it''s multiplication. But, they really are wonderful playmates now. today for example they played for 2 hours, dressing up, playing with dolls, books etc. they didn''t ask me for one thing and i was able to get a few things done. it was great..

MrsS.

The lamaze counselor told us to try papaya extract (the ones without the pineapple) for heartburn.
You can get those from TJ.

thanks Lily, we don''t have a TJ''s but have whole foods, so i would think they''d have it too? i''ll check it out!!

I think Target, RiteAid or CVS carries them too.

Man, I lost track of how long it''s been since I posted! I was out of town last week, then had jury duty and was sick this past week, but didn''t think it was that long!

Anyway, I spoke too soon the last time I posted about stretchmarks, because I got em now! On Fri night I was hanging out with my cousin at my place and she was checking out my belly. She pointed out, what''s that? I look down...and REALLY had to look because it was way low on my tummy where I can''t see that well. I said, "I think it''s a rash." And she said, "No, I think those are stretch marks. My mom had them." I look again, and think...ew, they''re ugly! So I just shrug and said to her, "Well, if it''s not a rash, then at least it won''t itch."
1.gif
With all the researching I do, I can''t believe I never looked up what stretch marks look like! Priorities, I guess!

OK, now for the responses...I hope I don''t miss anything...

Radiantgirl and Curlygirl, a BIG congrats to you both! So happy for you!! Curly, I can''t believe you are preggo again so fast, but I think it''s awesome that you darlin girl will grow up with a sibling. My bro and I are only 15 months apart and I loved having a brother. Fingers crossed for both of you that you will have a safe and wonderful pregnancy.

Divadiamond, re: constipation...I''ve been very lucky, but I drink ridiculous amounts of water. I think it must be helping, so don''t forget to hydrate! And yes, all of our babies early on seem to look like skeletor!

Jas, I am taking the course my hospital offers, mostly because I need to take the tour anyway. And we are doing the crash course...all in one weekend. I''ll probably do some of my own study as well. And post your belly pic! I will take one this week too...maybe a 32 week pic. Congrats to passing your GD tests and the light weight gain. I have a feeling I will have gained a lot more weight for my Feb 7 weigh in. I am trying to eat much healthier these last few weeks.

As far as how I am holding up...I am doing great! Perhaps because I am not taking STEP CLASSES.
23.gif
2.gif
Minus the new stretchmark development
20.gif
I have been doing picture perfect. In fact, I hosted a girl''s GTG the other night and I kept startling them because I''d jump up from the couch to go get something to show them. They all kept saying I move too fast for a preggo! I did have big cramp/contraction of some kind in the kitchen tonight. It lasted only a few seconds and hasn''t happened since, but it made me think, boy oh boy, is L&D gonna be fun!
40.gif

Curlygirl, Diver, Ella, msflutter...I love all these babypics...it''s practically the best part of this thread. They are just heartbreakers! I wonder though, for all of the new moms...do you ever have second thoughts of posting baby pics on a public forum?

lili, to answer your earlier question, I doubt I will pierce her ears if we have a daughter. More because I''m lazy than anything! I''m thrilled for you that you passed your 3 hr GD test...you had me worried there!

Qtiekiki, I am at week 31 and not bought much. I did get a handmedown crib, stroller, and a few other things. I have my baby shower this Sat and will go on a bit of a spending spree next week I think.

Diver, I did see that caffiene article, but I took it with a grain of salt. For the most part, I believe that miscarrriages are nature''s way of terminating an unhealthy pregnancy. And people say all kinds of things. I craved watermelon in my first trimester and a chinese girlfriend of mine told me that I shouldn''t eat it because it''s cold and could cause a miscarriage. Whatever.
20.gif

Oh, and I totally miss diving! It''s really the most amazing experience...closest thing to heaven that I can imagine. I haven''t gone in 6 years now, and have only dived the great barrier reef, so my experience is limited.

MrsS, I think Jake is a great name! Obviously quite a few of us do.
1.gif

Jackie, I had the same m/s as Jas. Started at about 8-10 weeks and I was kinda queasy starting at about 4 pm on. Nothing bad...just a constant hungover feeling. So unfortunately, you aren''t in the clear yet, but I''ll keep my fingers crossed that you are one of the lucky ones!

Tacori, I am so sorry to hear about all your BFing troubles.
8.gif
Hang in there and I hope some of these solutions you''re reading about work for you!

re: the eye color thing...if our kid has any other color than brown, I''m in big trouble! TGuy''s family is all brown, and of course being Korean I do not carry any genes for blue eyes. The link that Jas posted said we are 92% going to have a brown eyed child. Fine by me!

I also have a fear of tearing. It is my only fear about L&D...mostly because the healing time from it seems awful. But at the end of the day, not much I can do about it. I was thinking of starting perineal massage shortly.

I''m sort of a weird mix...not granola but not choc chip either. I like the idea of a natural birth...but more for curiosity''s sake than anything. Kind of like why I''ve run marathons...just wanted to see how far my body and mind could go. And I believe in the power of both. But I am not opposed to an epidural. And I won''t be getting a doula..mostly because...well again, I''m lazy.
1.gif

As for the poll, I am going to say it''s going to happen in this order:

Jas
MrsS
Me
lili.

Bets anyone?

To avoid stretch marks, I applied belly butter every day. I don''t know if it helped or not, but it felt good when my belly was dry and itchy (did anyone else have that). Lucked out again - no stretch marks!!!

Mornin all

Ms.Flutter--great pic, Ian is a super cutie--wish i looked that good ''fresh out of bed''!

Tacori--let us know how those BF tips to avoid clogged MDs goes--esp the all fours thing--i can just picture it
9.gif
--if you didn''t feel like a human/cow hybrid, you certainly will now! lol --but hey, if it works I am going to keep that one in mind!

Tgal--welcome back, we missed ya! Glad you are feeling better. Well, that''s crummy about the stretch marks, but it''s just part of the experience i guess. Everyone says they fade. So far i am in the clear (and I stress the so far part)--unless DH is lying to me cuz i can''t see the bottom of my belly either--hmmm, now you have me curious and i am going to investigate this evening
40.gif

Wish i were feeling as good as you! You''ve had such a great pregnancy! I am really mobile and active still--like you i am a quick mover for 32 weeks...but i don''t always feel the greatest, esp after meals with the rib stretching and constant tossing and turning at night. I consider this annoying but normal, so i guess i''ve had a pretty picture-perfect pregnancy as well---but if pictures included sound my whining would be the back-ground music.
I feel the same way about birth as you--want to see what it''s all about, give it my best shot, but iam not 100% discounting any of the options.

-----------------------------
General advice about constipation for you first-trimester preggos: water, water, water! (as Tgal mentioned) and, what worked wonders for me--about 6-8 prunes a day. Best if you eat them with some water on an empty stomach (like first thing in the morning) and wait at least 15 min so they can start to go to work in your digestive tract and not be mixed with other foods. I hear apricots work well too--but i haven''t tried them.

Oh Tacori, they actually recommend feeding on all fours! You poor thing!!!

love that photo, msf!! too cute!

tacori, i actually thought of you the other day because all Oreo products were on sale, and I thought about trying those Cakesters, but I went with the old favorite, plain ole Oreos instead
31.gif

sorry about the stretch marks, TGal -- bummer, aren''t they? I thought I was going to get away scotfree too. Naive me! I aplied belly butter religiously too, but to no avail. I think there''s really nothing you can do to prevent them. You''re lucky or you''re not!

So DH and I laughed out loud when filling in our baby books when trying to come up with current events, movies, etc. You mean there are things going on in the world OTHER THAN having been pregnant for 36 weeks and now raising twin babies?!

Here''s my list:

Current events: Babies R Us is having a clearance sale!!
Current bestseller books: Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and Your Fussy Baby
Current movies: does the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD count?
Popular actors: again, does Dr. Harvey Karp apply? Either that or those people in A Baby Story and Bringing Home Baby!
Popular music: Baby Einstein and white noise!

9.gif

Litchick, my belly only seems to itch when I put lotion on it. It's bizarre...

The stretch marks are crummy but aren't fazing me that much (of course, I do have my vanity...somewhat...so it's worth a sigh or two). I figured long ago to just take anything that may happen in pregnancy in stride...or in this case, striae...hehehe. I hope you don't get them though. I took the fall for my due date buddy...only fair, right?
2.gif

But you're right...I have had the best pregnancy. I do get up once a night half the time to pee, but that means the other half I am sleeping through the night. TGuy is scared that I won't ever hear the baby, I am such a sound sleeper. No discomfort, and I am always saying that I forget sometimes I am pregnant. Sure, I have bad days, but I try not to whine too much. A friend of mine apparently complained so much during her pregnancy that her husband did not believe her when she started to have labor contractions, lol. Staying positive and upbeat are good for the mind and body!
1.gif

ETA Ella, cross post. Ha, that's funny. IMHO, there isn't too much more important in your life than your precious twosome.
2.gif

only have a second..

jas12, on drk''s thread about her pregnancy...you just congratulated her & she just took a turn for the worse...(spotting & bleeding--she saw a hb on a machine at work & then couldn''t find it y''day--) just thought I''d give you a heads up, since I figure you just missed that last post. I always do that, comment before reading the WHOLE thread. I hope she''s ok.

Tacori: my left boob is having sympathy pain for you. It HURTS! Has for a few days. That is the nip that got mutilated by Jake & has forever given me pains since. I am so sorry you are having such issues! Girlfriend, get thee to a LLL meeting. They can help. They are all experienced moms who nurse & will give you the support you need to figure this stuff out. YOu have come so far. Are you in SC? DH was threatening to take me there instead of Hawaii. LOL. We were watching AI and they were in SC and dang if that is not a beautiful place!

Mrs. S....you are so funny. I have a "just Jake" too. I didn''t care for Jacob either..LOL...

bbl..off to playdate!

Nursing on all 4s worked!!!!!
36.gif
9.gif
Well, I kind of did it on all fours. I propped Tessa on a few pillows (on the bed) and leaned over her. At first she kind of freaked out but once she latched she was fine (though I thought my milk was going to choke her it seemed like it was coming out MUCH faster). After doing that once about 50% of my pain was gone! I did it one more time and my boob seems soft and normal now. I am so excited. I was kinda worried (downplayed it) b/c it seemed like 1/4 of my boob was clogged (the whole side was hard and sore) but alls good now. I told DH he missed the show. He thought it was hilarious but I was willing to try anything. I am so worried one of my clogged ducts will turn into an infection. But I feel great today!

Diver, sorry to hear about your boob pain. Hope it feels better soon. I finally talked to someone at Boppy and they are sending out my replacement today. I am in NC but close to the SC boarder. Let me know if you vacation there. It is beautiful for sure. I love charleston!

TGal, sometimes I think about that but I figure MySpace is no different (my SIL has one) and we actually have a website devoted to Tessa''s pics for your family to see (so much easier than e-mailing them). There are certain things I won''t post but I feel comfortable posting her pics.

Ella, gotta try those cakesters
18.gif

MrsS, I guess any heavy pressure can block ducts (like sleeping on your stomach or sometimes even you sides). I am guessing some people are just prone to it. I guess I am one of those luckly ladies. They said just stress can cause them.

Curly, didn''t mean to stress you out! You have time to figure it out.

Tacori--
That''s great the "nursing on all 4s" technique works.
I was going to ask you how you''d do that, but you painted a pretty good picture for us.
Now, I just have to ask...how comfortable is it?
9.gif

I guess as awkward as it may be, anything to relieve the "golf ball under the arm" pain huh?

MsF--
Motherhood sure agrees with you.
You look absolutely radiant and stunning for "fresh out of bed".
I can only wish I look half as good when all dolled up.
Love the cute pix of you and your little man.

TGal--
Hope you are feeling better and it''s great to have you back!
Man, I''m so jealous that you can sleep through most nights.
I can''t even remember when the last time that I slept through the night -- even pre-preggo.
Bummer about the stretch marks though. At least they are lower in the belly.
Wow, can''t believe you and Jas12 are still doing step aerobics.
Those classes are pretty intense no? L&D will be a breeze for you guys then
5.gif

Me? Step aerobics? Hahahaha! No way. That''s just crazy Jas over there.
2.gif
Not me. I get out of breath climbing into bed. Hehe. My pregnancy has been easy because I am one big lazy sack of poo. I''ve practically been on bedrest since I got preggo since I work from home...I am convinced that is what has contributed to this easy pregnancy. Feet can''t swell when they''re always propped up!

Anyhoo, methinks TTot is trying to find its way out. I visualize a magician trapped in a box...hands everywhere feeling it all out. This kid is going hog wild in there. Hm. Maybe TTOT is doing step aerobics?
3.gif

Tacori- I cant even imagine nursing on all fours...but hey, if it works! It is so great that you really have done everything you can to keep the BFing relationship! I applaud you! As for the cakesters? do you really love them? I bought them while preggers and the whole time wished i would have gotten swiss cake rolls?!?!?

STRETCH MARKS- I didnt really get any, I had a few light ones on my belly already from my yoyo dieting. But a friend of mine did and she is actually going to see a plastic surgeon on thursday to see about getting them lasered off! I didnt know that worked, and if your planning to have another kid if its even worth it....I just thought I''d share. We all have our little vanities and it will be interesting to see if she goes through with it.

I had an MRI this morning. So hopefully on my Dr appt wed they will tell me i can start lifting Ian again (i am a little, but not up out of anything!)

Lili, it was so uncomfortable. My arms started to shake (from holding myself up) and my feet went numb (from how I was sitting on them)...but you are right, anything was better than the golf ball. I could barely lift my arm
39.gif
But like Jas said I did feel like a cow. Haha! I am glad no one saw and she is too young to remember. But I really, really suggest it if any of you ever have a clogged duct. Best thing was my milk came really fast (gravity) so the nursing session was cut in half. Tessa didn't have to work as hard. What is even more amazing is I massaged/nursed/heated that boob for over 24 hours with hardly any relief, two nursing on all 4s and I was cured.

MsF, now I AM a little debbie fan as well....just as my thighs but for some reason those cakesters really do it for me. Pure chocolate and cream goodness. Hope you can lift your little man soon. I also have heard of laser treatment for stretch marks. I would not consider anything until I am done making babies (like you said). I really think you just got lucky. I don't believe creams help. All genetics and weight gain.

I am so proud of myself. I walked on the treadmill AND took a walk outside with Tessa today. I am tired this extra weight and while I can't really diet much (and don't want to) I figure I CAN move my body a little more. Best thing was Tessa stayed awake for the walk and just smiled and looked around the whole time.

PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE! Last night Tessa only woke up to nurse ONCE!
36.gif
I nursed her at 10 PM, 4 AM, then at 9 AM.....pure bliss! I am sure she will make up for it tonight.
20.gif

msflutter, I hope all will be well!

Tacori, WOO HOO! That is excellent news on the bfing, and Tessa only needing feeding once in the night. And kudos for you on the exercise. I can barely get my butt out now...I can''t imagine how tired I will be when I am sleep deprived and bfing.

TGuy brought home chocolate chip cookies last night. I asked him to get me apples, oranges and bananas. Now tell me, who in their right mind is gonna eat apples, oranges and bananas when there are delectable morsels of choc chips in the house? I''m justifying it by only eating cookies with a glass of milk.
20.gif

Diver--thanks earlier for the heads-up on my post--eek, i didn''t scroll to the bottom of the page i guess. I hope everything turns out for the best.

Tacori--The all fours thing is the coolest! I luv when ''somewhat'' simple things solve big problems. I can see how it would be tiring on the arms--try to look at it as a toning exercise
2.gif

So i am intrigued by all this Cakester talk--I don''t think we have them in canada--assuming this is a good thing cuz they sound delish. I''ve only fallen in luv with one store-bought goodie in my life and that was the TimTam, while living in australia-- responsible for my 10 lbs weight gain while there!
I don''t bring many pkged goods home--but i sure as heck make them. Brownies just came out of the oven!!!

Lili--i am wondering what the benefits of exercise will be--may help, may not. My mom was active like me and had a difficult 48 hr labor. My goal was to keep up with my regular fitness routine till the end of Jan, and we are pretty much there so i am going to play it by ear b/c right now it might be doing me more harm than good (in terms of making me tired, sore etc.)--i really luv it though, so who knows.

Anyone seen the Maltesers commercial where the hubby goes to pluck a candy from off his preg. wife''s belly and the baby kicks and it pops off--i feel like that is sooo me right now--eating chocolate and watching alien baby contort my belly are my fave. activities
9.gif

mmmm....Jas, I''ll be right over for a brownie! My brother goes to school in Canada and says the oreos there taste strange. He always takes a package back with him. The cakesters taste like the regular ones but the cookie part is soft (like in a hoho) and the cream is creamier. The good thing is there is only two per package otherwise I would be in trouble for sure! Funny I did think about how it was toning my arms at the time. I guess everything has a benefit. I am guessing I''ll be doing it again (since I have gotten so many clogs).

TGal, go for the cookies! You are preggo...you have an excuse! And milk IS very important for those growing bones
2.gif
How sweet of him to buy you some. My DH likes to discourage me from eating such things. He is a meanie.
20.gif

Hmmm... I am not sure what is up with the oreos here in Canada, but I will investigate and report back.
31.gif

Glad to hear the bovine-esque nursing worked, Tacori. Freaky, but effective, I guess!

I have a girlfriend who is pregnant and wants the details on L&D. I generally invoke the code of silence with pregnant girlfriends, figuring I would just scare her. What do ya'' think, ladies?

LC, he just said the oreos were different and not as good as they are in the states. Let me know if you do a taste test
2.gif
Yes, it was a very odd way to nurse but like I said before I was in *SO* much pain I would have tried weirder things than that. I vote for NOT scaring her though it sounds like you had an easy L&D. Everyone''s experience is so different so besides explaining the basics it probably won''t go the same way your delivery went.

Uh, let''s clarify here for a second...he didn''t buy them for ME. He bought them for himself. My husband is not that thoughtful!

Ok have your hubbies been putting on the weight too?? I know my husband did, I hated eating ice cream all by myself. So how do you gals deal with this, or is it a non issue. I think it''s an interesting topic....

stop all this cookie talk! argh! I can''t resist...I''m pigging out tonight. PMS.

Ok...so can I just vent a sec? I have complaints...boob, hair, inappropriate emails. it was Idiot Day in Jeannine''s Email Box.

So my left boob hurts & I have acne all over my face...my cheeks, chin, etc are all broken out. Stupid no pill pms. I''m going to go on it because I hate this garbage I think. I have an appt with my ob tomorrow for my other issues..(which amazingly disappeared...but I''m also asking him for some prescription fade cream for my dark spots on my face--melasma).

then...my hair is falling out in handfuls. This happened when Jake was 6 mos old. The worst part is it all grows back & you have a FRINGE of baby hair that sticks up and out all over...ponytails are awful for a long time cuz your hair line has a TON of fringe.

Then.....one friend and my SIL decide to send me completely inappropriate emails today. I won''t divulge the contents of the first, but can we say it was so racist & hateful. I simply do not tolerate any sort of racist humor. Its just NOT funny to me. So I gave her an earful.

Then....my SIL (who also is a mother, I don''t know if she took up smokin'' crack or something) sends me this HORRIBLE gory email of a guy...tons of photos of a motorcyclists collision with a semi. It was awful. It can''t be real. Who the hell would be taking pics instead of rescuing him? At any rate, it was so real looking and I wanted to throw up. I couldn''t tell what it was as I was scrolling down & she normally sends pretty benign stuff...which I normally ignore, but I saw part of it in my preview window & couldn''t make it out, so I scrolled. Big mistake. The big problem is...is that in my family, we have buried a few men who loved their motorcycles. my stepmom''s 21 year old nephew a few years back, and then my uncle (dad''s brother) when I was little. I know she knows that, why the hell she would send me garbage like that is beyond me. Some people should really not be allowed computer access. It''s just too much for them. Perpetuates stupidity.
29.gif

Also, I just can''t look at gore. She KNOWS that too. I can barely watch the news without sobbing...its that mom thing.

So I''m all in lather & my panties are all in a twist.

Cookies n milk might soothe it thanks to you enablers.

Grrr grrr grrr grrrr

Divergrrl is in a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Plus I''m totally bummed out by Kate''s loss on the other thread. I really thought that scan looked good. It''s pretty unusual to get that kind of growth on track & hb and then lose it.

Today sucks.

What a day, Divergrrl. Hope the cookies made it better.
28.gif

Ugggh Diver, that is one sh*tty day--cookies are in order 4-sure! I am with you on the no racist humor, no gore rule--just not tasteful--under any circumstance. And I am starting to get the ''mom thing'' you speak of--i tear-up at the drop of a hat (like watching the birth scene in Juno at the movies the other night).
I''ve heard about the hair fall-out. Why, why WHY do we women have to go thru SOOOO much?!? It just boggles my mind--all our hubbies had to do was have an orgasm to pro-create. But their wives, well.......okay, you''ve got me going and my students are rolling in off the bus so i better chill
29.gif

------
About the hubby weight gain--yep, I told DH he was gaining sympathy weight and there was no excuse for it-hehe. He owns his own plumbing business and his work is very physical, plus he works out regularily so he''s normally very fit and, if i do say so myself, ''buff'' --but i noticed his abs were getting less and less defined as mine got less and less defined. Must be the influx of my baking in the house. Too bad so sad.
------
I am convinced cakesters don''t exist around here otherwise i would have noticed them--not sure why oreos taste different here either--haven''t had one in maybe 20 years so i wouldn''t know what to taste for. Thanks for sparking a craving gals
11.gif

I hated that hair falling out thing. My hairstylist just laughed at me, and we had to adjust my cut a little to camoflauge the baby fuzzies!!!

It just never ends. I had to have some medical procedures a bit ago, and they said I should not lift anything over 15 pounds, and I just laughed at them!!! Come on! And yesterday, the massage therapist noted the tension in my back and commented that I must do a job with a lot of heavy lifting, and I said, yah, it''s called being a mom to a toddler!!!

Damn kids - they mess up our bodies in a big way!!!

P.S. It was so cute - I got a pedi yesterday and my toes are a real deep red. My mini man saw them (mommy does not get out for pedis often), pointed at them, laughed, and then tried to bite my toes!!!
23.gif

Good morning, all. Either I''m experiencing mild morning sickness (as you all predicted I might) or I''m just coming down with something...I feel mildly hungover. Not 8am after a night of drinking Jagermeister hungover, but more like 9 pm the night after drinking cosmos. No problems eating, no pain, just a blechy feeling. Could be the weather, as we''re very damp here and the temp is going to drop from 48 to zero today...I''ve always been weather sensitive.

We Netflixed and watched In the Womb the other night. It was super cool UNTIL the birthing scene. Granted, I am not a child. I pretty much knew what was going to happen. What I did not expect was that the woman was going to give birth standing up (which was kind of cool)...and I certainly did not expect...well...the drippings that preceeded the baby. Yes, it''s natural, it''s fine, and I am totally sure that when my time comes that is the last frickin thing I''ll be worried about, but for some reason it was just something I didn''t need to see. Too real, maybe?

The actual birth of the baby was sooooo excellent, although they really had to do some cathesthenics to pass the baby between mama''s legs so dad could cut the cord. The midwife was awesome, passing that baby around the mother''s legs like she was one of the Harlem Globetrotters. If the Harlem Globetrotters were Australian midwives. Which they are not.

My Charlie told me that some one did indeed notice my not drinking at the party. One of our guests is a wine snob and had poured me a glass of something fabulous that I think I said I would have "later." Guest went to Charlie and said, "Why isn''t she drinking this?"
My DH replied, "Oh, she''s on antibiotics," without recalling that the guest is a DOCTOR.
Guest M.D. said, "Oh, which antibiotic? There''s only one you can''t have alcohol with."
DH, in his brilliance, smoothly replies, "Well, it''s got to be that one."

Great. With my luck, the one antibiotic is for something real delicate like anal warts or jungle rot or something. I was laughing pretty hard about that.

All of this talk about Oreos has me jonesing! Must resist...we''re still processing lots of party food...some angel brought us the world''s best chocolate cake and it''s been tough limiting myself to slivers.

Ms Flutter, that is one gorgeous kid you got there. And you are one hot mama!
TG -- you have a great attitude about the stretch marks. And what a kooky week you''ve had. Hope you can catch up on rest now!
Tacori -- congrats on the relief, no matter how you got there. What a journey you''ve had!
Diver -- I''m so sorry about your day. Sometimes you just want to open the window and, using your best Dr. Phil voice, scream to the world, "What is WRONG with YOU?" Sheesh.

Hi to everyone else...I''m off to make myself useful somehow.

How sweet of him to buy you some. My DH likes to discourage me from eating such things. He is a meanie.

No Lisa my DH lost almost as much as I gained!

He actually thought it would be "cool" if we weighed the same amount when I gave birth. I knew that would NEVER happen but still...pissed me off a little. It''s ok b/c he has slacked on his diet/exercise since the baby has been born and gained some back (how horrible of me to say!) I love him fat or thin. It doesn''t matter to me.

TGal, too funny! I think the kindest thing DH did during my pregnancy was surprise me with a chocolate milkshake was I was all depressed that I was NEVER going to give birth.
