Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

NF - Congrats on your twins! PS is having a girl boom and a twins boom. Your DH is too funny with his comments (I can totally see the mountain goat and otter).

Tacori - That''s cool about the different color pads. I would love to see a picture of Tess in it. I glad to hear you like it because I''ve seen the Bloom Fresco IRL but not the Boon Flair. I put the Boon Flair on my BRU registry. I know I don''t need it til our little peanut is older, but I won''t stop someone from buying it if they want. hehe.

Snlee - Everyone I know who has a glider just loves them. We are not getting one because I don''t like the look of regular glider. I like the ones that look like a regular chair. But those take up more space and since we are keeping a full size bed in the nursery, there is just not enough room for it.

I had the Especially for Mom Body Support Pillow and liked it, but still needed extra pillows. I think you could probably make do with the right pillow combinations.

Re: Gliders...ha...I wish. I''m using my office chair and using the recline setting so I can rock back and forth. I have a footrest I use to push myself back and forth. Fancy eh?

Thanks for posting your recs on the finds thread ladies! I will have to go buy some of the stuff listed on there. I''m also on the hunt for a mobile. Anyone recommend a good one?

congrats neatfreak!! this is so exciting!!! i have ALWAYS wanted to be pregnant with twins (obviously didnt happen ;)) so im living vicariously thru u guys!!

Tgal: sorry about ur back
7.gif

Tacori: cant wait to see Tessa in her new chair :)

snlee, I totally think a glider is worth it! Ours is pretty run-of-the-mill from BRU, but it''s decent looking (wasn''t my top choice, but this was one of the last things we bought, so we were a little tired of dropping big cash by that point!) and it really works for soothing a sleep-fighting baby!

Neatfreak, once you start seeing the ninos more and more in the u/s, it will definitely become a happy reality for you! Soon you''ll be referring to everything in plural without even thinking about it
21.gif
Babies, cribs, car seats, high chairs ...

Jen, one more day till you hopefully find out your LO''s genders!!

Jackie, have fun in NYC! Sorry to hear about your "partially competent" cervix, but thankfully it sounds like your doc is on top of things and will keep you and the babies nice and safe!

As for body pillows, I had the Snoozer full body pillow, and I LOVED it. It was huge -- and we only have a full-sized bed! -- but I could not have survived my second and third trimesters without it.

So I mentioned how I was feeling kinda yucky yesterday and thought it was maybe from caffeine? Well, I felt horrible ALL night long - it started with that nausea/car sick feeling and a headache and then I had horrible stomach pains as well. I couldn''t sleep all night long, so now on top of still feeling sick to my stomach, I''m exhausted to boot. So I''m thinking it probably wasn''t from caffeine, but maybe some type of bug? Whatever it is, I don''t like it!
14.gif
(But I do like that I lost THREE POUNDS since yesterday morning. Is that wrong that that makes me happy?)

What a lot of activity on this thread!!! I vanish for a couple weeks, and I don''t think I can catch up. But big congrats NeatFreak on the twins! Exciting!!!!

Congrats neatfreak on the twins!! can''t wait till you find out the sex!

Snlee: I''m going to get a glider--just is so comfortable and seems worth it to me. However I agree it''s pricey (like everything baby seems to be!). Do you know how long the sale lasts or where to get those coupons?
I ordered Baby Bargains and hoping that helps navigate me through all the other items I need to buy..

The glider is definately worth it. I have spent many nights in that chair. There are some on costco.ca for $289 right now.

Mrs. S, GREAT NEWS; best wishes for her!!!
36.gif

Burk, your daughter is darling!

Jas12, love the family pics, so sweet!

Q, I was so excited when I saw the orange pad (for you!)

TGal, I had a bad mobile (well it was cute, matched the bedding but boring). My friend has one with a remote and loved it. That way she could turn it on or off from the doorway (w/o baby seeing you). T is too old for one now but for the next baby I'll get one.

MrsS, yah MrsS sister!!!!

QUESTION: for former BFing moms....how long did it take to get your period once you weened? Not looking forward to that and I am cramping today.
15.gif

Tacori -- I''m no help to you, but thought i''d share anyway... my period came back after 9ish months with each of them and at that point i was still breastfeeding! I thought i''d be set for a while, but nooooooooooooooooo. Sorry to hear you''re cramping

Thanks for your imput about the gliders. Looks like it is worth spending the money on them. LitigatorChick, Thanks, I didn''t think of checking out Coscto. I''ll check them out.

janine, right now BRU has coupons in the store you could pick up. They have two 15% off coupons. They are good the week of May 23rd and May 30th. The gliders are 20% off (just the chair not the ottoman) until May 29th. I bought Baby Bargains too and I love it! It has so much helpful information!

MrsS, good luck to your sister! How exciting!

Tacori~ I got my period right at about 6 weeks after I quit breastfeeding, but I quit earlier than you so that may not be any help.

MrsS~Hurray for labor!!

Tgal~So sorry about your back!! My DH has terrible back problems to. He currently has a herniated and a bulged disc. He has barely been able to help with T....I'll have to tell him that you are being much tougher than he is!!

Ella~Sorry you feel yucky. I had a little stomach bug on Sunday. It was no fun. Hope you feel better soon!!

Skippy~Thanks!!

Well, Tayva has gotten worse.
7.gif
She has barely eaten in the past two days. She has been continuing to vomit, have rashes, gas, the list goes on. So, new ped thinks we should give it a little more time and if she's not better by tomorrow to try a formula that has no trace of corn and see if that's the issue. I made an appointment with an allergist but they couldn't get her in until June 11th!!!!

I was in tears on the phone....apparently the secretary isn't sensitive.

I'm so tired. Just. want. baby. to. feel. better.

Hi Ladies- lots going on here as usual...

Burk- I am so sorry to hear that your daughter is having a more difficult time than before. That sounds horrible. I have heard you could have your pedi call on your behalf to the specialist and see if they could get her in sooner- I think that works sometimes- or ask to be on a cancellation list? I think they do that some places.

Snlee- my dh already has a glider- I have no idea why but I wouldn''t let him get rid of it cause I knew I would want one in the future...

Tgal I hope your back is feeling better- that sounds horrible and I am always concerned about having back issues-

ellaila- your twins are so cute and I hope your icky/sickness is going away soon...

LitChick- glad to hear that you are feeling better- missed your posts.

Mrs. S- congrats to your sister and I hope it goes quick!!

Tacori- I just wanted to say good job for reaching your bf''ing goal- Hope it''s not too painful for you.

Not too much going on here. Just enjoying my time while I am still able to lounge around/watch "bad tv"...

Hey all you preggos...Baskin Robbins is giving out free soft serve cones today only to pregnant moms! They are calling it "hump day" lol. Select stores only so check before you go!

Lots going on as usual on this thread.

TGal
Sweet pix of Amelia.
Love the ones in the towel.
She''s looking more Korean you know?
Hehe, would love to see one of Amelia''s monster face :)

Jas12
Sounds like you had a blast with Co''s party.
Thanks for sharing the pix.
You looked lovely as usual and Co is just a dull.
Like Ella said, he''s so mature....he''s a handsome boy for sure.

BF with J is about the same. I did manage to get her to nurse longer....
but she''s still needing the nipple to fall asleep.
Also, because she''s spitting up (maybe vomitting too?), I had to keep her BF sessions short and frequent.

MrsS
Jake is so big.
He looks so snug in his miracle blanket.
Yay for your sister going into labor.
Hope she has a speedy one.
Keep us posted.

MsF
Ian is a complete doll

Loving those baby blues and chubby cheeks.
Was he crying or something in that pix?

NeatFreak
Congrats on your twins!!
Wow, four sets of twins on this forum within a year.
Love your DH''s name for the u/s

Well, I''m not sure what I''m eating for lunch but I know I''ll be getting ice cream later! Yay for free soft serve cones! Thanks for sharing NF!

Litchick--how are you feeling these days?

MrsS--yay for labor! Hope all goes well!

Lili--are your nipples withstanding the constant nursing? I guess every baby is just different and as long as you are both fine then whatever works, works. Co spits up quite a bit as well--just did on my clean shirt.

Burk--i hope it''s the corn, how very frustrating, i hate that feeling of not knowing what is wrong and being helpless, hang in there

Burk, I''m so sorry to hear Tayva has gotten worse. sending a lot of baby feel better soon dust to you.

Tgal & Ella, hope you guys get better soon.

Hey Jas12. Feeling better. Gave an update on my postpartum depression/anxiety thread. Thanks for asking!!! I have missed you guys!

just called BRU and they said gliders are on sale (20%) till tomorrow only..

LC~I totally missed the other thread...so just went over and read and sooo glad to hear you''re feeling better!! We''ve missed you on this thread!

Pave~Thanks! I did ask to be on the cancellation list so I''ll cross my fingers.....

Jas~Thanks for the support! I just wish she could tell me what''s wrong and what I can do to help her!

Thanks Bobo!!

Well, she''s down for her early afternoon nap, so I get to read, yay!

Thanks for the mobile tips. I read a bit up on them last night and some of the highly rated ones seem more stimulating than soothing. Not sure I need stimulating for her when it comes to sleep time! Hm...still thinking about this one.

Back is a bit better today, thanks all for the sympathies. It''ll probably be aggravated for awhile since it''s not like I can ignore Amelia and just rest up.
41.gif

Ella, I''d probably get a bit of a sick satisfaction (no pun intended) if I lost 3 pounds from a bug too. But it''s important that you rest up and get better!

LC good to see you!

MrsS, keep us posted! Sending good L&D vibes to your sis (and NOT the ones I sent to myself...LOL)...

Burk...aww that makes me so sad...it''s amazing that business just has to be business even with the little ones in pain. How awful..

lili, the next time she chucks a fruity, I''ll try to post a pic. She does look more Korean, but only in certain angles. I still get a lot of "wow, she''s white" comments from people.
20.gif

janine, that''s odd. I wonder if it''s different for every location because I''ve asked them twice (in the store and over the phone) when gliders will be on sale till and they confirmed May 29th.

Burk, I''m sorry to hear about Tayva and hope she gets better soon!

NF, how did you hear about the Baskin Robbins special? It sounds like it might be a regular thing...do you know?

Burk
Sorry to hear that Tayva is not taking to the medicine.
I hope it works soon or that you find something that will help.

TGal, hope you are feeling better.

Jackie, sorry about the bed rest.

LC, welcome back.

****heads up....look for a thread later tonight
27.gif
I gotta wait til after T goes to bed though****

NF, how did you hear about the Baskin Robbins special? It sounds like it might be a regular thing...do you know?

I think it''s just today, but not sure. A close friend sent me this...amusing considering we have NO BR anywhere in sight here.

http://www.baskinrobbins.com/Spotlight/bumpday.aspx

Amusing story for the day...I babysat today (used to let me get my kid fix in, won't be doing it much longer I guess!), and one of the kids I sit for is 5. She has NO IDEA that I am pregnant, and I haven't told her mom or anything.

Today she says "Are you going to have a baby?" I was FLOORED. They say that 5 year olds are particularly perceptive, but wow this was amusing. So I dodge the question and say "soon". THEN she says "I think you'll have one boy and one girl" !!!!!!

Can you believe that? So she says that we should name them Paige and Aiden. She is such a funny little girl, let's hope she's right! People say that 5 year olds have an uncanny ability to guess the sex of babies! Pretty good names for a 5 year old don't you think? Her other suggestion was Diamond Princess though...hehe.

NF, that is SO funny! Wonder if she is right....
