HI Guys(ladies)! Just wanted to share some good news with you! so I spoke to the genetics counselor and she said all the chromosomes are there(I think I already knew this part but anyway) and the Q22 11 thingie came back negative so no Digeorge syndrome to go with the heart defect!!! Yay!!! It is a big relief(even though it''s not 100% and that really bugs me but what are you gonna do, right???) and I am determined to think positive(I keep telling myself this). Sorry this is like half post and half trying to convince myself to be positive. We are gonna do the superduper chromosome screening that will take a couple more weeks but I feel ok about that one and my dh and I are going to give blood ahead of time so apparently they can check ours too if the l.o. has anthing abnormal to see if we have the same abnormality? And I''m pretty sure the point of this is that they can say oh she has it too and there is nothing wrong with her so it shouldn''t affect the baby either? That seems like a good idea to me. Thanks again for all of your support and good wishes.
lia thanks again and I wanted to say that re: baby stuff thread- I found the babies r us suggestions pretty helpful andin addition tacori and kay gave us some good lists. Kay told me about babycatalog.com which is where both of us got the uppababy and I think we both got it on sale- no we definitely both got it on sale. Re: gracosnugride- this is what i registered for but I went to babycatalog because I liked the patterns better(I picked out a red one cause I was gender neutral then and i just cant get into the patterns. The red one was supposed to go with my stroller but I realized later that it doesn''t matter for the uppababy cause there is only the frame and carseat adapter when you are using the carseat with the uppababy, where other strollers it sits on the adapter on top of the seat I think and I wanted to be color coordinated. I feel like I am on speed as I am typing this(no I don''t really know what that feels like) so I think the genetics news is sinking in and giving me a little burst of adrenaline or something.
Otherwise, I also used baby catalog for my pack and play cause I liked the price/pattern the best there and the other thing is that you have to pay for a membership- but then you get 10% off alot of purchases and your friends who buy off your registry get 10% off too(double check me on this cause i don''t think it;s every item but it seems like a nice break for people I think). The selection seems small on some things on babycatalog but I like the discounts.
I also did register on babies r us and it was super easy- but my gosh there is alot to choose from so I understand your feelings there. I picked playtex nursers and natural latch nipples cause a lactation consultant where I worked said she liked them alot and felt they were close to the fit for a breast? I also want to primarily bf but hope that my husband will help with some bottles at night(this is my current plan).
I picked a travel car seat thing where you just pop in the carseat that I am planning on using downstairs so when we come home from somewhere hopefully I could extend whatever nap may have started in the car. My friend reccomended this but I don''t think she used it personally. Maybe heard from someone else?
That is all I can think of now-
ev eryone are you getting/already use a video monitor or just reg audio? My dh heard that we should have one but I think it''s overkill? I don''t know. They are pretty pricey and I don''t want to ask for one? I was thinking that you get used to the sounds the baby makes and eventually learn that you don''t have to run in there all the time? Any thoughts? TIA.
dd good luck with your class! I hope you have fun. I always like the first day of something- it''s so energizing and the students will probably be all jazzed up too? that''s cool. Have a great semester.
Jas I know i am gonna add to your big head(jk) but omg you look awesome and your lil babies are soooooo cute. I see them sleeping and think precious! Then I picture them awake and get overwhelmed! You do not seem to be in the least. I am so happy for you and your new family! Congratulations and keep enjoying everything!!!
Ivanahope you are feeling a little better today? thanks for the good wishes.
Pandora Congratulations!!! That is so exciting and it''s wonderful to have you hear! Welcome.
Thanks for all of your nice comments. My baby shower was definitely a lot of fun and I'm very thankful for all of the thoughtful gifts I received.
Diva, that is funny you thought I was a blond!
Ivana, I hope you feel better soon. Hopefully your doctor can prescribe something to make you feel better.
dreamer, thanks for your lovely compliment! What class are you teaching? You made me wonder why bathing suit photos of Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss, and Hugh Jackman are in your lecture! Haha! Good luck! I'm sure you'll do a great job!
pave, so glad to hear the good news! We will use a regular audio monitor. Our house is small so I figure if we want to "see" our baby we'll just get up and walk to his crib.
I am 34 weeks today! With the PTL scare early on, I wasn't sure I'd make it this far. It feels great and I'm so happy to have made it! I can't believe that in a month or so I'll be a mommy!
I found out my friend at work had her baby 3 weeks early and he was nearly 8 pounds! WOW! I am really hoping I'll be in the same boat and my baby will decide to come at 37 or 38 weeks. The anticipation is building and getting to me! I think it's the 6-7 weeks of bed rest that's making me so antsy!
SNLEE: wow! 34 weeks. that is WONDERFUL! my ob keeps saying that is the magic number (but of course anything past that is even better!). you must be thrilled.
PAVE: YAY!!! GREAT news! so happy that the chromosomes were all where they should be! and thanks for the registry help too. this stuff is SO confusing.
dh and i decided that we''re going to patent the "newborn starter kit." research best models on everything and put together a one-stop-shopping experience that you can customize colors etc, but that includes all those essential things that you need!
kidding, but man, wouldn''t that be a great thing??
for the good chromosome screening.
And did you say she?
snlee
for hitting the magic week.
One more week to go of bedrest.
Glad to hear that you''ve got something to keep you occupied while on bedrest.
Can''t wait to see your finished cross-stitch.
LIA
That "newborn starter kit" may not be such a bad idea.
I could have used it....but thankfully we''ve got some veteran moms who loves to do research.
How long are you on bedrest? How many weeks to go?
Pandora
A little late, but a big congrats to you and hubby!
Jen
How''s it going for you?
You must be happy to have the boys out of your hair since school just started huh?
And are your girls behaving in there?
Hang in there....the light is at the end of the tunnel.
Lili -- hi! Yeah, i''ve been getting some stuff done during the day with boys in school, but i still find myself worrying about donovan a lot.. i know that''ll get easier with time. The girls are doing well and staying put for now
How have you been? I''m not very good about checking out the mommy thread since i barely even check in here enough!
Jackie -- it''s disgusting how great you look
I''m SO jealous, but so danged HAPPY for you and those gorgeous boys!!!
They really are something else -- I''m so glad to hear that motherhood is agreeing with you
Pave -- great news!
Pandora -- congrats!
Snlee -- looks like you had a really fun shower
Janine and Curly -- how''re you two holding up?
LIA and Blen -- thanks - i''ll post baby kitten pics soon (meant to do it already, but i''m stuck in nesting-land
)
Ivana -- it''s so nice to hear about excited daddies-to-be
My shower yesterday was really fun and my students and other rink people were SO generous, so I came home with lots of important stuff (stroller and breast pump were 2 "biggies")... and lots of fun stuff that i spent the better part of today organizing
I''m nesting like crazy but it''s in slow-motion, but today was one of those productive days where i felt like i actually accomplished something. I''m starting to feel so ready for them to be here already! The kitten has really gotten comfortable here and spent a great deal of time napping on my neck and shoulder whenever i sat down
I have an appt tomorrow, so i''ll let you know if anything has changed... have a great night!
jen

indy and erika how are you chikitas? I haven''t seen you in a while and I am wondering how things are going? Erika, have you gone public yet? Indy how are you settling into your new appartment and your job? Any recent appointments? Come out and play... you are my homies and I miss you.
pave, I'm so happy that your test results are coming back with good news! Try to stay as positive as you can, even though I know it's tough. You need to stay strong for your little man!!
snlee, yay for 34 weeks! You're almost there!!!!
lia, online shopping will be your savior!!! All of this baby stuff gets really overwhelming but just remember that you only need a few necessities before the baby comes and then you can fill in the blanks after the arrival when you see what you really need. You know we'll always help you out with advice and suggestions.
jen, that's great that you got such good stuff at your shower!! I can relate to the "slow nesting" mode. I still haven't done much around the house--I need to get some baby clothes washed and do a bit of closet/drawer reorganization. I know that it needs to be done but I just can't seem to find the time to do it!!! Plus, I really need to get my hospital bag ready!
mela lu, congratulations!!!!!!!! Sending tons of sticky vibes your way.
I'm hanging in there. 37 weeks, 3 days. I'm 1 cm. dilated, the baby is still head down but not engaged yet. MY GBS test came back negative. My weight gain has considerably slowed down and I'm up about 21 lbs. now so I'm happy about that. My doctor estimates that this baby will be in the low 7 lb. range if she's on time and I know I can handle that!! There are no signs pointing to me going early and I'm actually grateful for that but with #2 things happen so much faster so I guess I need to be prepared at all times, which I'm not!
My doctor reminded me 3 times at my appointment yesterday about the signs I need to look out for in order to get to the hospital on time. It's a lot different than the first time--she said to just wait for 4-5 real contractions around 8-10 minutes apart and then call the hospital and hit the road!!!! I dilly dallied at home last time for quite a while so I guess I won't have that luxury this time. So I'm in waiting mode right now, just going on with life as usual...
Hi Everyone- thanks for sharing in my good news yesterday. So many exciting things going on here, huh?
Snlee I missed you in my post yesterday. Your shower picture was soooo cute and I like your mask, and your niece. I agree she may be a future ps''er. I love the beautiful gifts that you got! I can''t believe you are 34 weeks already! Yay that is such great news. You are doing a great job keeping that little one in there.
Lili I don''t remember if I did say she, but we found out last week!!! It''s a B-O-Y!!!!! I was surprised because I did feel like it was a girl, but what do I know? it''s gonna be great!
Jen glad you had such a great shower and ppl were so generous! that is wonderful. Happy nesting!
Umm Mela Horray!!!!!!!! I am so very happy for you! Sticky vibes and all of that!!!!!!!
Curly I know I already said this but wow you are getting close! so exciting. I know someone- had his second child in July I think...they were getting ready to leave for the hospital and he ended up delivering the baby on the bathroom floor!!!! I am glad your dr. gives you all the signs to look for because it seems like the 2nd one really speeds up-This mommy wasn''t even having steady contractions or anything. Sounds like they did not get the same talk that you got from your Dr.
Hope that was ok to share and doesn''t scare you or anything but I am still astounded by this story.
I forget, are you working at home now? How is that working out? How is your energy level this far along? I know since you are already a mom there is not much rest for you but I hope you are resting when you can!!
CURLY: WOW!! i can''t believe you''re officially full term!! how crazy... i totally remember (lurking) when you posted your bfp. time is flying! good luck with the final preparations. can''t wait to meet your little girl! please check in often, ok? btw, remind me when you went into labor with lily (how many weeks)????
JEN: thanks for checking in. i still want those pics! congrats on your great shower! if you get around to it, post also some pics of your gifts. i love seeing them!
hi LILY!! you better believe i''m counting on all of you veteran mommies for advice. to answer your question, i''ve been on bedrest for about 5 weeks now and i''ve got about another 4-5 to go. the first week was "home rest" meaning really take it easy, but it turned to pretty much strict bedrest after that. UGH!!
MELA: i posted in the other thread, but CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!! i couldn''t be happier for you!! i''m so looking forward to all of your funny posts over here
nothing new to report on my end... the work at our house continues...we drained our pool yesterday b/c we are going to pebble tec it, and they discovered TONS of cracks in the plaster that need to be repaired. to the tune of about $5000!!! it HURTS, but we can''t sit with a big empty pit in our backyard. it''s creating some serious stress for us! NOT what we need right now... i have another OB check tomorrow; hopefully everything is still status quo.
but I'm glad your craziness is of the prescient variety so I can take advantage of it! Now, please tell me... am I having a boy or a girl?
Lisa how are you doing? Feeling any better?
ETA
Pave I was remiss and didn't say congrats on the wonderful news. I am holding out hope they have been wrong all along and your little boy is healthy!
Snlee I am a psychologist, I am teaching a second year class in intro social psychology for 250 students, and the bathing suit photos were to demonstrate how standards of beauty are affected by culture. I'm also teaching a 4th year seminar in social/clinical research methods. And this work will pay my mat leave
pave, stories like that totally freak me out but I''m just not going to take any chances!! As soon as I feel some real contractions, I''m hightailing it to the hospital! My doctor said the worst thing that can happen is that I''ll hang out and walk around there for a while until I make more progress. We live about 30 minutes from the hospital so I don''t want to be sent home! I''m glad I can identify real contractions this time so that should make it easier. I''m amazed by these people who give birth on their bathroom floors! I think DH and I would both be in full panic mode, not to mention we have a toddler who would probably want to help out!!!
Worst case scenario--there is another hospital a few short blocks from our place and if we had to, we''d just go there. But I''m not even going to think about that! I''m still going to work every day. I don''t think I could handle working from home, I would just go crazy. I feel much more productive being out of the house. Plus, I get my exercise by walking the 2 miles to and from work every day. My energy level is actually quite good and I think it''s because I''ve remained active--plus I believe so much of it for me is mind over matter. I just continue to live my life normally and don''t make the pregnancy my main focus all the time. Surprisingly, I haven''t felt tired since the first trimester. I go to sleep at around 11 every night and I''m wake up at 7 so I''m definitely resting. But I am up about 4 times during the night to pee so I think I''m just preparing myself for living my life in 3 hour intervals again!
lia, Miss Lily was pretty much right on time. I went into labor and had her at exactly 39 weeks, 6 days! She was one day early--such an overachiever!!!
I''ll definitely check in more often to keep everyone updated on my progress. Sorry you have to deal with additional expenses right now--these things never happen at opportune moments. Hang in there, girl.
It''s been almost 5+ wks of fairly dysfunctional, pathological first trimester crap.
I had a bit more energy over the past 2 days and have a feeling that little sac is absorbing.
Not having to pee as much at night, not as hungry, not as deep bone tired peel myself off the couch, chair, floor.......
I actually got Olivia outside for a walk yesterday (took until about 5PM to accomplish this) but it was so good.
US tomorrow is fairly important. Is there a sac or not? If yes, HB present, and still small then what do we do? We are in a holding pattern
until this gets resolved; we can''t make plans to move or fumigate the renovated house or organize anything yet.
DD - So did your class go? Did the photos seduce them into a frenzy of learning?
Snlee - Such an adorable pic of you at your shower!
Erica - There is no belly on you. Although the last pic. the jeans seem to be a leeetle tighter but only a leeetle. How is that possible? Tell me you''re eating more than kimchee.
Indy - How are you lately?
Pave - That was great news on the LO. I''m pretty sure we did the same bw as you guys so be prepared to give like 14 vials of blood each!
(I am so sorry that I missed most of you guys on here)
There was a monitor question from LIA???? The sound only ones should be totally more than enough. Infact, we didn''t really need to use the monitor at all in the beg. b/c the baby was sleeping w/ us or only a room away where we could easily hear her.
The saftey stuff is so confusing b/c you can''t anticipate all the ways in which you might "need" an item. Overall we only really needed the most basic, simpler models of gear. But of course they make you feel like a lousy parent unless you have the jacked-up version.
Lisa, I really hope the next u/s helps clarify things for you. sorry you''re feeling so awful...*hugs*...it WILL get better!
Mela Lu - CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I''m so happy for you, I remember the last time around you and I had EDDs just days apart so I am beyond thrilled that you are joining us over here in the preggo thread again. Sending a ton of sticky vibes your way - take care of yourself!
Jas, your twins are adorable and you look great mama! I hope I can BF so the little one can suck all the extra pounds off me.
Snlee, congrats on making it to 34 weeks – it is a great milestone!
Looks like you got some really cute items at your shower.
Jen, congrats on the new addition to your family! Please post pics -- I love kitties.
LIA, I am glad to hear you are felling a little better. Pregnancy can be such a rough ride emotionally, and I am sure adding bed rest to the mix does not help.
Pave, congrats on the good genetic test results!
Lisa, I will be keeping you in my thoughts and hope you will get good news tomorrow.
I know I have missed people, but I am swamped at work. I will try to post more later. I just wanted to skim through quickly and see if all the babies are staying put.
My baby is still kicking like crazy, so that seems to be a good sign, although I am mighty uncomfortable. I have an appointment with a pregnancy massage specialist tonight, so I am hoping she will be able to help with back/tailbone/leg pain relief.
Hey Guys. Sorry for the long silence. I've been working 10-12 hour days and really trying to get everything under control so that I can meet my contractual obligations before the babies are born. a year's work in 6 months? All the work is making me grumpy and overtired, and I feel like I'm coming across a bit anti-social. So I think it's better if I keep quiet most of the time!
SNLEE, LIA, Jen It's so great that you're in the safe zone or so close to the safe zone and that you're all hanging in there.
Lisa, thanks for the update, please let us know after your u/s how things are going.
DD, hope your class was fun! Teaching a big lecture can be awesome if you get the right 'work the room' vibe going. I've found that it really does require you to perform and be super "on" and exaggerated. Fun! But sometimes tiring. It's awesome that it means you'll have more time with the bebe!
Kay and Curly... the countdown begins! Exciting!
SBDE
Happy half way!
Pave I hope you continue to get good news.
Jas, did you give the boys Hebrew names as well?
Erica, I want a bumpwatch update! I can't believe how HUGE I am compared to you. I am so seriously pregnoid at this point that people have started asking me if I want to sit down at parties and on the bus and things. I keep thinking 'Geez, if I can't stay standing now... in 10 weeks? 20 weeks?'
As for me, hmmm... let's see.
1) I met the new doctors. The walls of the specialists clinic are plastered with 'Best Doctor, Maternal-Fetal Medicine' awards from several different USA-wide and regional ranking. They sher seem smart! Plus, every room has a fridge full of juice and water and yogurt and salty snacks for the pregnoids. Yay! And they are funny. And awesome. And talked to us like equals. I told the lady doc that I love stats and data and deal best with info along those lines and she said "Great! You're a nerd like me!" and loaded on the stats. And they are totally, totally on top of the latest research on TTTS and monochorionic twins. I couldn't be more confident with them. Plus, the head nurse offered a mono-chorionic-delivery-specific private tour of the hospital and NICU, and she was wonderful. I'm in love with her!
2) At the now bi-weekly u/s, the sonographer said "I won't tell you the gender unless I'm 100% sure" then he turned on the u/s and immediately said "They're boys." So I guess Doc 1's prediction was right! So far, all looks well. No signs of TTTS, which can start up around now, and they are growing like crazy. Next appointment is tomorrow (with the midwife who has to retroactively give me the referral to see the specialists, under my new insurances) and next ultrasounds/appt is a week from tomorrow.
3) Definitely feel them moving around in there now. Quickening has occurred!
So the protocol is: I meet with the docs at least every two weeks for the moment for an ultrasound, a consultation, and a cervix check. If there's any trouble, we move to every week.
I have my first sugar test next week. Any advice?
The other thing that's bothering me a little is that the doctor told me that because of the pressure change after one of the twins is out, TTTS can happen at the moment of birth, even if everything else is fine. Well, I'm not worrying about that because there's no point, but I'm worrying about what it means: I can't even try for a natural birth because they will want the epidural in there in case they have to get Twin 2 out ASAP. Basically, she said they'd be ultrasounding me through the whole birth, that there might be an army of students there because it's an unusual case (she hopes I don't mind), that I'd need the epidural, and there'd likely be several doctors around too.
I am very, very upset by this, although now I'm working to wrap my mind around it. I really hate doctors and hospitals and medical equipment and beeping machines, and being hooked up to things and having STUDENTS watching?!!? this just sounds like torture. I know I just have to get a grip and wrap my mind around it and of course what I most want is the safety of the Cubs. I just feel like, this is so the opposite of what I would have wanted and what I'm comfortable with. The complete opposite. This all sounds so upsetting to me.
And it's so hard to tell what really HAS to be done and what is erring on the side of caution too much. At least I have several doctors at the practice, who apparently have different views, so maybe that will help me get some perspective.
I was holding out hope that I could try for a natural birth. It was important to me. But it is what it is. The only part that can change is my attitude. So DH and I are working on developing a series of inside jokes about various aspects so that we feel there's at least some psychological privacy between the two of us, and so, if we can manage it, we can laugh and joke around together during the birth.
Mostly, we just keep visualizing the twins safely in our arms. With both of their hearts and both of their brains intact and undamaged.
Indy -- Hang in there, woman. A move and a new job would exhaust anyone, and you are making two people on top of that! I''m so glad your doctors seem to meet with PS standards (i.e. awesomely nerdy). I know people say it all the time, but you really won''t notice the students and extra doctors. Your focus, come time, will be on your nurse(s), your DH, and hopefully, mostly inward. You are going to be great!
And yes, Jackson is Dov and Logan is Zev...the bear and the wolf. The wolf thing came, sadly, from "Logan" being the name of Wolverine in X-Men. Dov just followed. We told everyone at the bris that the names indicated strength, independence, and that they will most likely be hairy like their Daddy.
Jas, wow, what a story! Your boys are so handsome and sweet; can't wait till you hop on over to the WWT! hehe I am glad you got your beautiful dog back; I can't imagine being without him!!!
Jackie, awesome story and love that pic of the two out of three babies. Sounds like you are doing great. As for the mommy thread, we''d love to have you, but understand if all you want to do is lurk for now. We''re not splitting anything at the moment and are just going with the flow.
IG, I agree with Jackie, you most likely won''t give a crap when the time comes. I didn''t like the idea, but when I got there, I was totally fine with the resident/student who was in there. I also thought I''d be grossed out at my husband looking at my nether regions (and so did he, because it was totally clinical and uh...messy) but he helped the nurse clean me up a few times, even during the dreaded maxi sessions that Jackie referred to. I teased him about it all later, and he said he was just in "do what you gotta do" mode. Didn''t faze him at all, go figure.
Jas, great story. I''m totally with you on the doggie thing. My doggie is and will always be my first baby and coming home and her not being there would have flipped me out.
indy- we all say it but it is true, when the time actually comes you really get to a place where you don''t care who is in the room. i hope you can get find some time to rest.
jas-if the mommy thread splits, it probably won''t be for a while so do come on over and post there.
All through last night I was very crampy and feeling lots of yucky contractions. I''m not sure if that means labor is coming soon? At this point, I don''t feel like I need to call the doctor because 1) it seems to be better during the day 2) baby is moving around a lot still and 3) if I went into L&D, they wouldn''t take any measures to stop the contractions so I don''t plan on going into L&D again unless I''m really in labor - 511!
jas, thank you for sharing your story. I enjoyed reading it very much. I cannot believe your MIL, FIL, SIL, and your dad''s friend. Crazy! I am sure glad you have your doggie back safe and sound.
Indy, good to see an update from you! Yay for 16 weeks, confirmation of two boys, and feeling them move! I am glad you love your new doctors. They sound wonderful! Plus who wouldn''t want a fridge stocked with juice and water and yogurt and salty snacks!? Sounds heavenly! Is it normal to have your cervix checked that early? Is it because your pregnancy is high risk? I''m sorry to hear that your birth won''t be as you like it but it usually isn''t since there are so many unknowns. So at least you know ahead of time and can prepare for it, right? I''m sure you''ll do great. I can''t imagine working 10-12 hour days and making two babies. Hang in there!
Finally! A few moments to say "HI!" to everyone and give a little update. Had a dr. appointment yesterday, very uneventful, which is GREAT at this point. Dr. is very happy with the boys u/s results, my weight, etc. Have to go to the dreaded glucose test in a few weeks. Yuck. And my doctor mentioned that I am at a higher risk for gestational diabetes due to the "higher placental volume" of twin pregnancies. How fun. I think my risk doubles, which in reality is only a jump from like 4% to 8%, so hopefully everything will be fine. I go for another u/s with the peri on Oct.3, so I am counting down the days until that to "see" the boys again. But they are sure making their presence known, they kick me like crazy! I can already see them kicking sometimes through my shirt...fun. I do think it was weirding out a girl sitting next to me in my class today though when my shirt jumped a few times today!!!
Snlee: Your baby shower pictures are great! So glad that you have reached the safe zone!
LIA: Good luck with the new house and all it's issues. Isn't moving so fun? I can't even imagine dealing with that while on preggo and bedrest! And I totally get wanting your DH around...I feel the same way and I am not even on bedrest.
Jen: So glad everything is looking so good! Looking like the girls are listening to their grounding orders!
Ivana: I hear you woman. The m/s can be HORRID with twins. But welcome to the PS twins club!!! There are a lot of us here, it's contagious!
Lisa: You are in my thoughts...here's hoping that everything works out the way you want at your u/s.
Dreamer: It's so awesome that you were able to pick up another job, your maternity leave is going to be so great! I am very jealous of your full year of "paid" leave!
Kay and Curly: You ladies are just so close! I can't wait to "meet" your little ones soon!
SBDE: It's so exciting to be halfway huh? Pretty soon that little baby will start the major kicks, it's so fun.
Pave: Yay for the good news on your little boy! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything is resolved easily.
Jas: the boys are just adorable and I am so so happy for you guys. Can't wait to come down to Chitown next year and have some bling and tumble around at the park filled playdates! I only hope that I look as fab as you a few weeks after delivery! My heart fills up just looking at YOUR little boys, I can't wait for mine to get here!
Erica: How you doing girl? Hope all is well out there!
Indy: I am so glad to hear that you like your doctors! I have to say you are getting things WAY earlier than me! I am 23 weeks and only getting my first glucose test next week. I was on monthly appointments, now we're moving to every 2 weeks. And only monthly ultrasounds for me too. Sounds like they are taking great care of you.
As for the delivery, unfortunately what you mentioned is pretty standard protocol with ALL twin deliveries from what I have heard. My doctor told me that he strongly recommended I get an epidural in case they have to turn Twin B, and also said that I will be delivering in an operating suite with at *least* 2 scrub nurses, baby nurses, him, an anesthesiologist, and the peri even if everything is a smooth vaginal delivery. He told me that they just like to be super prepared just in case.
But from what I've heard from Jas and others after the first few hours all modesty goes out the window and you'll let anyone look at your hoo-ha.
And a big old WELCOME to Pandora and Mela! Lots of sticky dust coming your way!
