jackie, good to see you! I''ve been thinking a lot about you and the twins. So happy to hear things are going well. Your post about motherhood and the twins pictures made me teary eyed. The boys are soooo adorable! I love seeing twin pictures, especially newborns snuggled up next to each other. So precious! And YOU mama, look FABULOUS! I can''t believe you gave birth to twins less than 2 weeks ago! You look amazing! Can''t wait to read part two!
Big friggin'' Ditto! You look great and the boys are gorgeous. Can''t wait for more news.

I am way too far behind on this thread...

Pandora, YAY GIRL! Congrats~!!!!! So excited for you!!

Jas- Your babies are so adorable and sister you look amazing!!! How on earth did you just have twins...I hope I look half as great when I am done. Seriously look gorgeous!

Snlee, I am sorry to hear about your extended bed-rest, I had two friends that both were on bed-rest for over 3 months and it was really hard on them. Hope you have lot''s of gossip rags and movies to keep you tied over...

Pave- Great news, you are in my prayers....

I know I am not getting to everyone, but I hope all of you ladies are well! I have been so sick with m/s it is almost debilitating. I can''t even fathom swallowing another pill but am worried because I stopped taking my folic acid and prenatal for the past 5 days...Well I took 1 folic acid, but then felt like I was poisoning myself for 2 days straight. I am going to the dr. again, not sure what to do...I am eating Total cereal in hopes of getting all my vitamins...I hope it get''s better, aack!!!

ivana, I''m sorry to hear about your bad m/s! I had a really hard time getting those prenatal vitamins down during the first trimester too. I started taking them with ginger ale and the fizz helped get it down. You may want to give that a try. Taking those prenatals are important, especially early on, so I hope it gets better soon! Hang in there!

People, really, you are stroking my ego too much.

But don''t stop.

Delivering and nursing has already taken 27 pounds away...only about 15 more to go, but those are the tough ones that''ll probably take another three years. I plan on holding babies in front of my tummy pooch until it''s gone. :)

Ivanna -- so sorry hon. Ginger Altoids are also pretty neat, I''ve heard. Maybe the prenatals at night?

Oh yes, forgot to say to take the prenatals at night. Yum, ginger altoids! Now you have me craving them. I don''t know if they help with m/s but they sure are good and worth a try!

Jackie/Jas, you are tiny and gorgeous woman!!!!

The twins are sooooo Beautiful and perfect!!!

Many congrats to you and your DH!!!

Snlee, you look great!!

Ivana I was reading through some of DrK''s older threads and read your story there, and I want to say another gret big congrats to you! It sounded like a long road, but now here you are!! Strong m/s is a good thing, it is associated with much lower m/c rates so keep telling yourself that when you are sick
2.gif
If you are unable to keep foods down you really should consider getting a prescription medication to control the nausea. There are many solutions now and you do''t need to suffer. I totally understand if you''d rather not take anything, but if you are having a hard time keeping fluids down or eating each day, then it is something to consider. I believe that SBDE was on meds for much of her first tri and it really helped.

JackieJas
Wow, you looked fabulous and sizzling HOT!! and only 2 weeks out.
Your twins are scrumptious and are such little angels

Snlee
Looks like you had fun at your shower.
Your mom and auntie are talented....the blanket and quilt look lovely.
And you look great

Hang in there...just a few weeks more to go.

WTF!!! Who the hell looks like that after giving birth to twins! Girl, you making me into a hater! Hehehe. You look fab and your twins are just to die for (and I love their attire). Just wonderful pics, thanks for sharing...

snlee, awesome baby shower and cute pic of you!

Pandora, congrats girl! Welcome to the wild and wacky world of preggoness!!!

LIA, sorry to hear you''re not doing well...hugs outgoing to ya.

snlee, I have tried taking them at night or with food, I just end up throwing everything up and feeling like hell through the night. The doc gave me some different things to use but nothing seems to really be helping. I will though just buck up and keep taking the follic acid and prenatals, maybe combined with phenegrem it will eventually get better.

Jas, are you new little bundles in one crib or two? I have read that a lot of parents put their twins in one crib for the first year. Seriously you look incredible, I can''t believe you just have them two weeks ago. I am going to buy some ginger altoids tomorrow, thank you for the suggestion.

Dreamer- Thanks so much for your kind words. My dh and I are still in disbelief at times that we are actually pregnant. I have never seen him so happy. I think he always tried to play things down when we were trying, but now that we are finally pregnant, he just seems like a different person. He already is so in-love with them. I almost don''t exist

You said it TGal.
She glows as a pregger and glows as a mommy.

Sorry you had a rough weekend,
but your DH is soooo sweet getting you out of the house.

Pandora - Congrats! It''s kind of neat that the pregnant test tell you approximately how long along you are. I just took the old fashion test with the + and - signs.

snlee - You look so adorable with your "new" hat. And so funny about your niece (she got some good taste in jewelry). Love all the handmade gifts you got at your shower; sound like you had fun.

DD - Oh my... G cups. Good thing you kno where to get nursing bras size up to J. I''ve read people having trouble finding H cups nursing bra.

NF - I was also confused with where the 0.5micrograms/day came from. Now it makes more sense.

Government regulations regarding maximum exposure or safe levels always work this way. City is stricter than State, and State is stricter than Federal.

Pave - So happy that you got some good news, and yay for feeling the kicks. Stay positive.

LIA - So sorry you had a bad weekend. It''s tough to be on bedrest. That along with your raging hormones must make you really emotional, so it''s totally understandable. It''s really sweet and cute what your DH did to cheer you up, you lucky girl.

Jackie - Your boys are so cute; we know where they got their good looks from. You look fabulous, especially for someone who just gave birth.

ivana - Hope your m/s gets better or goes away soon. I''ve heard from people that dr. tell them to take Flintstone vitamins when they can''t handle the prenatal vitamins due to m/s. Maybe you can check on that.

jas: STUNNING!! u look SO good and amazing!!! and ur boys!! too cute for words!!

pandora: Congrats!!!

Snlee: love the shower shots :) and the quilt/blanket are amazing and so thoughtful :)

Jas, you look gorgeous!!!! Your babies are so cute, many congrats lady!!
35.gif

OMG, jas you look like one of the photos in magazines (where they pose the model with someone else''s kid). I can''t believe you look like you do after giving birth to twins!

If I take after my mother I will look like a beached whale for months after the birth let alone during pregnancy!

Ivana I have read that taking just a folic acid pill, without all the other stuff, can be easier... sometimes it is the iron that is so bad. Are you able to keep any fluid and foods down?

Jas, you look amazing. You must be one of those lucky mamas who make whole milk! (I made skim
15.gif
) I cannot believe you have lots so much so fast. Good for you. The boys are adorable. Sounds like they are laid back like you. Hope you are getting some sleep!

Congratulations, Jas!!! Love your pics!!! You look amazing, and the babies are sooo cute!!!!!
36.gif

Jackie, all I can say about those babies is YUMMY!!! They are absolutely gorgeous and delish!!! And you, my dear, look ridiculously fabulous. You go, mama!!!!!

snlee, great shower photos! You got some really nice stuff!!!

Pandora, congratulations!! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Oh Jackie!!! Those are just the two most adorable little munchkins!!!

snlee- great pics

jackie- the boys are precious and you really do look just stunning!!

lover in athens: thanks! it definitely feels pretty surreal to be half way there! hope you're holding out well on bed rest! just a few more weeks to go! sorry about the emotional weekend, but sometimes it's good to just cry it all out.

snlee: thanks! i'm also starting to see the beginnings of the linea negra...i wonder how dark it'll get! glad you enjoyed your baby shower - those handmade pieces are going to be such wonderful keepsakes for you and the little one!

kay: thank you! boo to the pain you're having down there...i really hope it gets better soon. i had my first bout of leg cramps saturday night..yowza! it was painful!

pavelover: thank you! yes, i started feeling little jelly around the 16 wk mark - it is so cool! definitely makes the pregnancy seem more 'real'. i'm so glad to hear that the results from your additional testing is rendering more positive results. stay strong!

pandora: congrats and welcome to the preggo thread! lot's of sticky vibes to you!!

jas: the babies are adorable...and how on earth have you managed to lose so much weight so soon? you look great!

dd: yay for feeling the babies!

Jackie - Oh my those boys are cuties! I just want to hug and kiss those little angel faces! You look fab, woman!

Snlee - Your shower looks like it was a lot of fun.....I always thought you were a blonde

Pandora - Welcome! Get ready for the most amazing journey of your life!

Ivana - If you are really suffering please call your doctor and ask for some Zofran. If you have insurance it shouldn''t cost that much and it really helped me get through my first trimester. I also ate dry, bland cereal before getting out of bed each morning and that helped too. Hope you feel better soon!

CONGRATULATIONS PANDORA!!!!! Wonderful news, I''m so happy for you.

Jackie, your boys are so beautiful. They look just perfect and so peaceful in that pic. Enjoy every minute with them, you lucky lady!

good morning guys!
just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all of your support and hugs and shoutouts... i''m feeling MUCH better today. i think you guys are right, sometimes a good cry is JUST what we need.... i hate to be such a downer on here...IRL i''m such happy person! where has that girl gone?!?!? :)

anyway, jackie, your pictures are GORGEOUS. i can''t believe how amazing/beautiful you look and your boys are adorable! they really look alike (or is that just the picture)??

Snlee: thanks for the pictures!! i love the knitted things your aunt made...so beautiful!! i will try to post some of my more recent knitting stuff. i''ve got a bunch of things in the "almost done" category that aren''t quite ready for pics yet! :)

sbde: thanks for the check in! hope you''re feeling well!

ivana: oh...i really feel for you with the ms. try to hang in there! i wish i had some good recs for you!

DD: i just want to say a big "THANK YOU"! i think that you always offer such insightful advice, and i appreciate it so much. i always look forward to reading your posts b/c i know your responses will be well thought out and useful!! thanks!

QT, Lili, Tgal: thanks for the hugs! can''t wait to join you guys on the "other side" (well, not TOO soon, right?!)

Janine: i don''t know if i mentioned this before (can we say that LIA tends to be a little self-absorbed?!?!), but i hope you''re feeling better about the L&D stuff. i agree that it''s really scary! i''ve been to our triage area way too many times lareday, and thankfully haven''t seen/heard anything too awful. hopefully you just hit it on the wrong day.

Pave: hope to hear good news from you today!

that''s all for now. i also posted on the preggo stuff thread, and if anyone has some extra time or input, i''d love to hear from you!
hugs to all!!
LIA

Wow, thanks LIA, that was a wonderful compliment, it makes my day.

Snlee I wanted to say I love all the handmade stuff you got at your shower, and despite the cute "mask" you look wonderful in your picture! Gorgeous smile and you seem to have that coveted preggo *glow*!

I am teaching my first large class in an hour (250+ students) and I am a little nervous! I have only taught mid-wize classes up until now, so this will be a new experience. Luckily, I managed to work into the lecture bathing suit photos of Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss, and Hugh Jackman (Yumm) so that should help make the students like me
