Just wanted to say Way to Go Neat!!!!

Thanks Jas! You are my twin mom idol! Now that the boys are full term I am going to go bake lots and lots of things.

And as a separate vent I HATE THE HOLIDAYS. Well, maybe not the holidays but certainly how rude and pushy everyone gets at stores. I had someone steal a parking space that I was patiently waiting for at the mall (and yes I confronted her politely about it and she freaked out and started yelling!) this morning just to pick up some damn crib sheets that my MIL bought in sage so I had to exchange because no matter how much sage stuff she buys us our nursery just isn't sage.

AND I was trying to return something from my Target baby registry this morning and the girl at guest services was SO RUDE. So I asked to speak to a manager, turned out that manager was her best friend basically and so didn't even apologize. So then I went to the store manager on duty because I was just appalled at how she was treating me when I was being perfectly nice.

Now I remember why I #1 never shop on the weekends and #2 really love online shopping.

Neat- totally get where your coming from! I hate shopping! Online is the only way to go for me! And talk about parking spots...my sister had her tires and LIFE threatened over one...by an old couple!! What is this world coming to! And she couldn''t even make a police report..so there''s not even protection....sorry u have to go through it..if I go to the store I try going with my husband ( so I feel somewhat protected!)..cheer up..u got your boys on the way :)

Congrats NF on making it to 36 weeks! Yay! Can''t wait to meet your boys!

I hate fighting the crowds and dealing with rude people too. I love online shopping. I''ve been doing a little too much online shopping lately!

Shucks NF...I've got lots of "advice" ready for you...like how to pick both of them up at once (make sure no one is watching). :)

Hey to all you preggos!

ETA: For me, it was spicy noodles. The baking did nothing (but ya know, I got cookies out of the deal)

I can''t wait Jas. You are exactly the kind of person I want advice from! Not crazy anal and very funny.

The boys have officially been served their eviction notice, so let''s hope they are paying attention! I think Indian is on the menu for dinner...

Don''t let your husband tell you that jumping up and down is a good method. It took about 5 minutes before I realized that he was just taking pictures for some weird bouncing preggo fetish site.

LOL. My husband is somehow very enthralled with the idea that DTD will get them out. I have NO idea how he thinks this might work (I just don't think physics will allow it) or why he has any desire to try, but he's been trying to convince me all day! But that requires that I move...so I'm not sure it's happening anytime soon.

You must have one of those husbands who "reads". Mine was clueless. He wanted to DTD at the end. I just looked at him and whispered, "But the babies can see and hear it this close to the due date."

He didn''t believe me, but was so creeped out by the concept that he kept his sweaty mitts off of me.

Hehe. Unfortunately my husband is not creeped out at all by any of this. Except the possibility of cutting the umbilical cords for some reason! Weird man...I am taking bets on how long it takes him to faint in the delivery room.

Hi Ladies- things are sounding good here- that''s very nice...

Neat congratulations on the milestone!!!! I feel you in that I would like to serve my child an eviction notice too- I feel a little guilty but hey- 9 months is a long time!

jas you never stop cracking me up. I love when you post- how exactly did your husband think he was gonna cut the cords during dtd? with his "sword"???? that is toooo funny.

Blen really glad to hear that things are looking good at the ob- that must be a relief for you . sorry to hear about your husbands job. Hope you have a quiet weekend.

Take care everyone else. Just patiently waiting for baby to come out(not really that patiently)- I am 35 weeks 5 days today. I am ready to have him come out. We will see what he thinks...haha.

Quick drive-by:

Neat -- congrats on 36 weeks! I remember at that point being SOOOOOOOO ready for babies to come out, so I hope yours cooperate
2.gif
In hindsight, I''m glad mine stayed in for those extra 2 weeks and were huge b/c it was a bit easier on them, but I wouldn''t exactly wish 38 weeks on any twin mom! haha Can''t wait to see you in the mommy thread (where i''m equally non-existant, but at least keep up w/the reading..) Can''t wait to meet my girls'' prom dates... or did i promise them to jackie? haha

Pave -- wow, you are close too! SO excited for you!

Blen -- glad all''s well!

Sorry i am missing practically everyone -- still thinking about you all! Hope everyone''s well! Girls are great (9 and 91/2 pounds), but i''m still not getting much sleep (worth it! i love everything about them!!) More later...

Thanks Jen! We''ll just have to see, not a contraction in sight unfortunately. I don''t think the boys could read their eviction notice yet.

Just checking in....I''ve been feeling a bit nauseous lately and soooo tired!

Congrats Neat on making it to 36 weeks! Your chances of a NICU stay are getting slimmer and slimmer!

And regarding wierd things that DH thinks about pregnancy and birth.....with my DD I bought prenatal vitamins before we started TTC and set them on the counter. Next think I know, DH is asking me how many of them HE was supposed to take a day! Ummm....they aren''t for you doofus! Also, before DD was born DH asked me what they did with the umbilical cord after the baby is born.....did they just stuff it back up inside?? I promply gave him an anatomy/labor and delivery lesson!

8 weeks tomorrow...

Hey everyone, please keep Sabine in your thoughts and prayers right now. The on-call nurse just told her to go to the ER for bleeding
39.gif

O sabine...im praying for u! Im keeping positive bc I know bleeding is a common thing (I had it myself) but please keep us updated robbie if u can.
7.gif

Sabine we are thinking of you!! Hopefully it''s nothing, it happens in a lot of normal pregnancies.

Sabine, you''re in my thoughts. I hope it''s nothing.

Sabine, you''re in my thoughts as well. I''m glad you have Robbie.

Sabine, saying prayers for you. Hoping all is well.

Neat, my aunt went overdue with my twin cousins...poor lady!

Overdue as in over 36 or overdue as in over 40???
23.gif

I have a doc appointment on Wednesday after my u/s on Tuesday and I am sure we'll be making plans for an induction or scheduled C for the following week if I haven't had them by then. Luckily my doctor believes in inducing twins by 38 weeks!

Oh my goodness...that poor poor woman. Luckily now it seems like most research suggests that there is no added benefit to letting twins bake more than 38 weeks and that afterwards there are actually more risks.

neat, she is a petite lady too. But my cousins were born fine it was my brother who was born 3 months early a week later. 38 weeks seems perfect for all pregnancies IMHO. My doc said next go around he''ll induce me at 39 weeks

Just heard from Sabine and they saw a heartbeat on the u/s (she''s 5w4d I believe)!!! The couldn''t find any reason for the bleeding though and they told her to follow up with her OB. I''m seriously so relieved right now I could cry. You''d think it was my baby and not my fetus''s future bff.

Whoops, Robbie, I think you misheard me. I said it was too early to see the heartbeat. But we did see the fetal pole (sp?). Thanks for all the well-wishes.

ETA: They basically told me that as of right now, they weren't able to rule out that I could be having a m/c, but they did confirm that I am pregnant and I'm where they would expect me to be at 5w4d. I will have to get the beta done again to confirm that they are still doubling. I'm feeling alright, although I don't want to get my hopes up too much since I could still be having a m/c.

Some background in case you wanted it...I saw brown spotting pretty much all day on friday. Then on saturday it went away and i convinced myself it was nothing. Then i had more slight brown spotting today, so i called the on-call nurse. She said to go in on Monday, but call if anything changed. Later, I got bright red spotting, and enough to need a pad, so I called back and they told me to come in to the ER.

That's great news Sabine. MANY MANY healthy pregnancies have had bleeding, even red bleeding. We're thinking about you!!!
