Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

sabine i think this is great news and i am optimistic that everything is ok

mela- what a CUTIE!!! she is precious. as i looked at that pic its so surreal to think about that moment actually happening and the babies being there in person..ahh cant wait. and i was also laughing at the braxton hicks comment LOL 2funny

That''s great news Sabine - fingers crossed that everything stays good!

Robbie, I''m still waiting for the hunger - I have to remember to eat still. I would love to feel like stuffing myself, but most things still make me feel a bit
14.gif
...

Mela - wondered where you had got to! I''m very jealous that you can feel movement - I''m still waiting and DH is even more impatient than me.

I''ve got to wait until the 6th Jan for my anomaly scans - ah well, only 3 weeks I suppose...

Has anyone heard from Lisa? I''ve been worrying about her for a while - and I so miss her posts. Lisa if you are out there lurking, I for one am thinking of you!

Sabine - congrats on a heartbeat! I hope that everything''s ok.

Mela - those chubby rosy cheeks! Awww.

BH start really really early (babycenter says around 6 weeks), but most women don''t feel them until later. Just how much later varies. I first felt one at 20w2d, and then they came in force a few days after that. (Booo.) My mom didn''t feel any contractions until, well, labor. If your whole ute seized up, I''d guess it was BH and not RL pain.

NF - thinking of you.

The major hunger comes in waves for me. Maybe it corresponds with baby growth spurts or something, who knows.

I was on a really boring conference call today and staring at my belly when I realized that I can see the kicks now.
9.gif
I also got to hear the hb on a fetoscope tonight, which was pretty cool.

That''s great news Sabine! I agree with the others that there is no point in worrying about the possible twin molar thing, that must be one in a million possibility and it is so much more likely to be something harmless.

Mela I started feeling flutters at 16 weeks (only when I lay very still in the morning and only 1 or 2 times a day), and I am larger than you with a front placenta, so I am not surprised you are feeling things!

I''ll pst more later, now I am in mad need of some sleep!

Pandora- im with ya on the no hunger..I eat bc I have to and sometimes I forget to lol...no major changes for me at all!..I don''t eat more, don''t pee more and don''t feel much...sometimes I may feel a flutter or 2 when Im laying on my back but that''s it. Can''t wait til they play hide and seek with the organs LOL (constipation is rearing its ugly head again though

Thanks for asking Kaleigh! Yes, Friday is the day! I am very excited...I am very done with this pregnancy! I am so happy the boys have had such a long chance to bake since I know most twins don''t get this opportunity, but still...it''s been a long ride!

My parents are flying in tomorrow, so that should be fun and a nice distraction for the next few days!

Sabine -that''s great news!! I''m so happy to hear that there was a HB!!

Neat - You must be so excited!! in 2 days you''ll have your baby boys!! R u getting nervous about actually being a mom? I''m nervous already...hehehe...I have a looong way to go
9.gif

Our laptop is not working at home, so I can only check in at work..sucks! But nothing really new w/ me...except for feeling extra fatty today. My thighs are so gross! I have no real belly yet...but the biggest freakin thighs possible...I officially cannot wear non maternity pants because i just feel so constricted in the leg area. I only have 2 pair of maternity pants (for work). I guess I better get some shopping done!

13w6d!!

Neat- I bet it does hurt but its such a worthwhile pain no? Lol
I can''t believe your babies will be "real" in 2 days! I would probably be freakin out maybe just a lil ;) it is soooo surreal.

Good morning ladies!

Can I join you? I got a BFP about 2 weeks ago, but went to the doctor yesterday and it was confirmed. We even saw the heartbeat- so surreal, it''s so early.

Posted a longer note yesterday, but think it got lost in the molar pregnancy discussion. Sabine- really glad things went well at the doctor, will continue to keep my fingers crossed everything is as it should be.

Hope there''s room for one more!

Hey china! Sorry about the previous posts (happens sometimes)...welcome welcome and congrats!...was it the most exciting thing to hear the hb?? I remember that moment like it was yesterday. So how many weeks are ya?

Thanks nycbkgirl! No worries, I know this thread moves pretty fast.

I didn''t hear the heartbeat yet, too early, but we did see it on an ultrasound. I am 6w4d, so still pretty early for me.

Sabine, just wanted to say how glad I am that things are looking better for you and the bean! I don''t know if this helps any at all, but I had exactly the same thing happen in my pregnancy and all was well. The high hormone levels in particular gave concern, but some people just have higher levels and we were fine. I know we''re all different, but I hoped it might help to hear that someone else has been through this recently and had a good outcome. (If not, sorry! Don''t mind me :-) )

hearing..seeing,..same thing

still verrrry exciting...i only heard it one time (at 7wks) after that i just kept seeing it. this thread can keep you sane during the waiting process for u/s''s ..it sure has for me..my next one is the anatomy scan on dec31st and i am freaking out already and cannot wait...so i try to keep busy as much as possible.

Sabine I am glad to hear that you saw/heard the heart beat yesterday! I hope the other part resolves quickly/easily. Thinking of you, though.

Neatfreak Can you do something special for yourself today for your last day before the boys? I''m wishing you the best of everything tomorrow and can''t wait to hear the story/see the pics! Are your parents here now? Mine are coming on monday...

So I feel like exciting things are happening, but I also don''t want to get too ahead of myself. I had my 37 week appt yesterday- nothing exciting. My dr. (the fellow), the attending is on vacation- asked me to pick an induction date which is a change since before he said we could just let things go...trying not to get stressed as who knows what will happen before then and he can''t make me come in, so I just scheduled and we will see what happens. No cervical check yesterday which was fine with me.
Anyway after that appt. I have still had lots of braxton hicks and even am starting to lose my mucus plug(sorry for tmi)- I read a little about it and it said it can come out little by little or in one "plug" I guess. Lastly, and warning about this symptom, today I had diarrhea- I think I heard this happens sometimes before labor? Or am I making this one up? Off to research. Please any btdt moms who have input feel free to jump in. and sorry in advance if I grossed anyone out!

Welcome to the thread, China!

DH and I have come up with a new girl name. It started to bother me that Lily is becoming so popular, so we went back through the L''s (L for my grandmother) and DH became stuck on Lydia. It started to grew on me, but I was hooked when I looked it up and saw that the first female American voter was named Lydia AND it was only ranked #123 last year. So, if we have a girl, she''ll be Lydia (Lyddie) Grace. We seem to change our minds a lot though, lol. Boy name''s kind of up in the air now.

Welcome China!

Lydia is a great name, Robbie. I have a lot of good experiences with Lydias. (I base name selection on previous experiences with people
3.gif
LOL)

As for names, I''m really, reallly bummed that my FI''s cousin''s daughter''s name is Sophia. That was my name for so long
39.gif
. I may plead ignorance
27.gif

For a boy it will be Richard Anthony. That was FI''s deceased grandmother''s favorite name. Not a very Hispanic name but we have enough Joses and Julios in my family to make up for this one
3.gif

Fiery, if the kids aren''t going to be together often, I don''t think it''s a big deal for them to have the same name. Heck, even if they are, as long as it doesn''t bother you, I''d go for it. I definitely judge names a bit based off of people I know with those names. Makes it hard to agree! Luckily, I''ve never met a Lydia. The only person I''ve ever even heard of with the name (well, until I looked up famous Lydias) is the girl from Beetle Juice
1.gif
.

They''re not in the same country! Although last I heard he (FI''s cousin) has been trying to get over to the states to work for a while and then apply to have his family come over so we''ll see!

I''m feeling a little bummed today. I think most of you know about my "friend" that did all of those things at her wedding. Well we''ve gone two weeks now without talking (almost 2 weeks). So I sent a message yesterday. I felt that even if we stop being friends, things needed to be said. I made sure the message was friendly. I also mentioned I am pregnant. I haven''t received a response at all. I know I shouldn''t expect it but I was kind of hoping for something. I guess its just hard to accept something being over after so many years.

Oh well. Or as FI says "one less Christmas gift"
20.gif

Awe, I''m sorry about your friend, Fiery. I read your thread over in BWW. I know it hurts, but I think you''re way better off without her.

pave- sorry cant help ya with any info but it sounds very promising and exciting!!!
9.gif

robbie- love your choice...lydia is beautiful and your right not too common at all
2.gif

i have my girl name picked out but no boys names as of yet bc off the whole gender determination uncertainty...so will be definite hopefully in 2 wks! boys names i think are the hardest to pick..at least im having a hard time.

Oh Robbie, I love Lydia! Especially that you call her Lyddie! That is absolutely adorable.

We are sticking with Alila (ah-lie-la) and maybe calling her Ali (al-lee) as a nickname.

Robbie- I love Lydia too. Great name! Lily was on our girl list too but it is becoming super popular, so I love the idea of Lydia.

Fiery-Cousin's daughter who doesn't even live in the same country? You can totally use the same name IMO.

Pave- you are not making things up girl, that could be a symptom. Unfortunately these pre-labor symptoms can last for weeks sometimes, but I will cross my fingers for you that it's sooner rather than later!

China- WELCOME! Sorry your first post got lost, it happens on this board sometimes. No harm meant!
1.gif

Thanks ladies- didn't take it personally at all! Just didn't want someone to think I was crazy for posting the same thing twice if they happened to catch it the first go-round!

Robbie- I really love Lydia, and I've never thought of that name before. Like you and Neat, Lily has long been on my list, but I know way too many now. Shame because it actually goes with our last name, and not a lot does! Lydia is so pretty and different enough.

Fiery- I was already with you when you said it was a cousin's daughter, but they don't even live in the same country???? Forget it, all bets are off! You can totallly use that name! My family all uses the same names anyways, all of the cousins have similar names. It gets a bit confusing at Christmastime- "I need to get a gift for Jake". "Oh, is that Big Jake or Little Jake?" "No, it's Cousin Jake on Dad's side." Seriously!

Neat and Pave- Hope your last few days are smooth! Pave, don't know anything about your possible signs, I haven't gotten to that part of the book yet.
1.gif
But sounds promising!

ETA: Oh, and Fiery, sorry about your friend. I did read your other post, and I am so sorry your friendship seemingly has ended like this. I "lost" a best friend awhile ago and it was really hard and very strange. It was for the best, I had to walk away from her because the relationship was toxic, but I still miss her. Sounds like you have done everything possible, and now you just have to let it go. You sound like a really good friend, though, so it's her loss.

And Courtney- what a pretty name. How did you come up with it? I've heard similar names, but not that exact one before. So musical sounding!

My sis just gave me a book from babies r us..called My Pregnancy...A Keepsake...it is soooo awesome..I was crying going throught the pages....it lets u write down all the important things and fun things about your pregnancy from day 1...I thought how the kiddies would love this when they grow up! ..I can''t recommend this enough...such a cool thing to have!

thanks you guys for your support! i wish i could see into the future! i am beyond an impatient person! i know this could mean things are still off in the future but im kinda hoping sooner...

i think i am in shock and dont really know what to think but dh just let me know he did accept the layoff pkg that was offered to him this morning. i dont have all the deets yet but he said if u dont accept then for the next round you may get nothing! he has been working on a new position but nothing solid yet. I know men have a really hard time when their "breadwinning" capability is shaken, but part of me sees it as a blessing so he couldbe with the baby and bond/help since he will be in the hospital for surgery, etc. holy smokes this is just crazy.
