Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Sabine, even though I already dusted you and your DH over AIM this morning, I''m sending more dust. I don''t think it''s possible to send too much. I''m keeping every crossable part of my body crossed.

Sabine I''ll be thinking about you today and hoping for the best!

Love, thoughts, prayers and dust from Texas too!

Good luck!

Sabine, fingers crossed for this afternoon.

Will be thinking of you.

When did you guys start to get hungry all of the time? I feel like I''m constantly eating and when I''m not, I''m starving. It''s not even noon and I''ve eaten most of what I brought in for the day (banana, apple, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, yogurt granola bar).

I started around 10 weeks I think. I STILL eat a ton and I''m not being as healthy as you, so good for you. I just had a donut.

Courtney, I seem to eat whatever I can get my hands on so I try to bring healthy stuff to work. Believe me, if there were donuts here, I''d be eating them. Plus, I made the meatloaf and mashed potatoes from scratch and those taters are by no means healthy. For 10 potatoes I use 2 bricks of cream cheese and a half a stick of butter.

Oh Yummmm, Robbie. That sounds so delish!!

DH is taking me to Melting Pot tonight and I cannot wait.

Hi guys! Hope everyone is well.

Sabine I''ll keep you in my thoughts! I hope time passes quick for you and the u/s goes well. Take care.

Neatfreak Sorry no contractions yet! They really have a mind of their own, even in the womb, huh? Hang in there.

Robbie

It started around 8 weeks for me. I got to a point where I would get hungry and needed to eat immediately otherwise I would feel like I was going to pass out. We were driving on Friday to Cheesecake Factory to meet up with FI''s friends and ended up being late because I got soooo hungry that he needed to stop and get me a muffin. There have been mornings where I''ll wake up at 4:30AM to eat a bowl of cereal and then go back to bed.
20.gif
What I''m doing now at night is having a banana and glass of milk right before bed or I''ll mix them together in my bullet and have a banana shake. It seems to curve the hunger so I can at least wake up and eat at a normal time.

Robbie--i ate 24/7 the first 16 weeks cuz it helped my mild MS to have a full tummy--and then i ate 24/7 b/c, well, just preggo i guess, and now, 8 months into nursing i am still eating like i did while preggo so i think hormones are a b*tch. I am curious to find out what my appetite will be like when i wean.
Sounds like you are eating healthy stuff so no worries. You are almost thru the first tri!!

Neat--i periodically check this thread to see how things are coming along. You must have a freezer full of googies by now
3.gif
. Wish the baking worked for you. I don''t know what it feels like to have twins, but i know the feeling of waiting, and waiting, and waiting (a full, painful 42 weeks!) and trying everything you can think of to get things moving. Your little christmas elves will be here soon. We can''t wait to see you on the mommy thread

Sabine--hope all is well today.

All the other preggies--wish i had time to read this thread, i am starting to get baby fever again already and although i really did not like being preggo, i miss the excitement of that time--so enjoy it, and take pictures, rest up and pamper yourself.

Hidee Ho!!!!
I've been MIA with work and out of town guests - I have so much to catch up on!

Sabine - sending +++++ vibes to you girl. I'm really hoping that everything is status quo and that you just have normal pg 'symptoms'. KUP.

Neat - Sucks that there is not so much as a rumbling! I was *kinda* hoping to see some news from you...as I'm sure you were hoping to have some to share
40.gif
Hang in there. I bet you must be getting so excited /slash/ so annoyed at the same time.
14.gif

Same goes for you too PAVE!!! Good luck and hopefully these last few days/weeks go fast and smooth.

ETA: NYC - I'd do a gold or bronze shoe with the burgundy (I think)...

re: eating - I eat constantly too, but I try to snack on raw veggies and fruits at the office...that way I can hit the delicious food at meal time guilt free
2.gif
Robbie - I've gained a new appreciation for potatoes during this pregnancy, so your smashed ones were particularly droolworthy!

re: flutters/movement. I *know* that some may say it's too early...but I feel things. Flutters and flops. They are sporadic and very far between, but I feel them. I can't wait for actual movements to kick in. pun intended! lol.

when do (toni)Braxton (Taylor)Hicks contractions start? I had this one very strange "cramp" while lying in bed two nights ago. My ute seized up and got really hard, then released a second later. it was weird. Not sure if that was a BH, or what (another form of RL pain?)...but haven't had another since....phew

One more week to wait until I get my anatomy scan! WHAHOO!!! This would be really really really exciting if we were going to find out the sex; but alas a surprise will prevail
2.gif

My BFF had her baby Girl on Sat!!! Taylor Belle, 7 lbs, 5 oz. HEE!!!! We were MOH's for each other so this truly feels like a neice! love her already...
My BFF didn't even know she was in labour, but felt light cramping so went to the hospital. She was already 4cm dilated! hah. Within hours she progressed, got her EPI and only pushed for about 15mins. No tearing, no episiotemy, no pain. If only we could all be so lucky!!!

Here I am with my new "niece" Taylor one hour after her birth.

Congrats auntie.

Mela
I was having BH pretty early on....it was like 12 wks or so.
Good luck on the scan.

NF
Sending you lots of labor dust.

Hi everyone!
Well, I have tentatively good news! The u/s showed a baby measuring 6w 6d (exactly what I should be) with a strong hb of 153 bpm!

However, there is an area of concern in my uterus that they called a "cystic" area that could be an area that was causing bleeding and resolving itself, but they weren''t able to rule out that it is a partial mole. I still have symptoms that could be related to molar pregnancy, such as constant nausea, a cyst on my ovary that could be totally normal or could be a symptom of a mole, and high hcg levels. I will be going back for another u/s in 2-3 weeks (they will call me tomorrow to schedule). So basically everything looks okay for now, but I''m not really out of the woods yet. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Yea! That is great news!

Hey, guys. Quick update. I am 9 weeks tomorrow and we just had our first ultrasound yesterday. Wow, technology has really improved since I had my son 4 years ago. We could see the outline of the baby sooo clearly, it was amazing! I have not had much morning sickness so far, just waves here and there, but I have been so completely tired. I just bought my first pair of maternity jeans today at old navy. They look like regular jeans, but they are stretchy at the tummy and are really pretty cute on. My regular jeans were just getting too uncomfortable. I think you really show more quickly the second time around. Was anyone else in maternity pants by 9 weeks? Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!

That''s great news Sabine. I''ll keep my fingers crossed that all will be ok.

Yay Sabine!
36.gif
Hurray for the strong heartbeat!

I''ve been checking for an update. I checked all day yesterday and by last night was really upset because you hadn''t posted so I assumed the worst
38.gif
. But then I remembered duh! It was originally Monday, but was switched to Tuesday! So glad to hear the good news. I know you''re not out of the woods yet, but neither are most mommies until that baby is born healthy so try not to get too stressed!

Sabine that is fantastic! I am curious though as to how it could be molar if you have a fetus with a heartbeat? Or do they think this is a second implant that turned molar potentially?

Hopefully it''s nothing or is just a plain old fibroid or cyst that won''t cause you any trouble. But YAY for a heartbeat!!!!

awww Sabine that is promising!!! Hopefully it will resolve itself - that would be the best scenario.
big sign of relief for now.

(Hug)

Sabine, that''s good news! Hopefully it''s nothing serious and it''ll resolve itself.

mela, congrats auntie! What a cutie!

pave, I can''t believe you''re so close! Can''t wait to meet your baby boy!

NF, more labor dust coming your way!

Hi to everyone else. Sorry I can''t address everyone individually. I hope all of your pregnancies are going well!

Anyone know where Lisa is? I hope she''s doing well.

Sabine that is such wonderful news and I''m so glad you were able to see the strong baby and hear the heartbeat. I''m truly happy for you. I feel real positive that you''ll pull through!

Sabine,
That is great news. Keeping my fingers crossed that all will be well.

Sabine- thank goodness. I couldn''t check in until now, but I was thinking of you all day today and yesterday. I was at the doctor''s office all morning so you were on my mind! Sounds promising, and I bet all will be fine, but will keep you in my thoughts until your next all clear.

Which brings me to officially joining this thread, but with fingers crossed that it''s not too early. I got a BFP about 2 weeks ago- quick recap that I posted on the TTC thread- had terrible tooth pain, knew I needed a root canal, but was a few days late- nothing out of the ordinary, still within my usual range, but knew you weren''t supposed to do certain things at the dentist if preggo. So took a quick test to be sure- and to my utter shock, it was positive. I nearly fell off the toilet, I am not kidding. (And yes, I took another one the next day to be sure). Which led to a horrible week of pain and me crying everyday because the dentist said they normally won''t do root canals until your 2nd trimester- and there was no way I was going to be able to withstand the pain for 3 months. Luckily I called my OB/GYN who cleared it, got the root canal, and all is fine.

Didn''t really feel preggo AT ALL, so was wondering if maybe I had a false positive or it was not sticking. Until Sunday when I felt like I was hit by a mack truck and have felt nauseated on and off since. Went to the doctor today, and got an ultrasound, and it''s confirmed- I am KTFU! Weird, surreal, and super cool all at the same time.

I know it''s relatively early and things can still go wrong, but I have had so many questions already and we aren''t telling anyone IRL (so far, we''ll see how long I last until I tell my BFF) so it will be so nice to have this board for support.

They counted me at 6w3d, but I think I was measuring about 4 days behind that, but they are keeping me at 6w3d for now. My due date is around August 8 or 9.

Sabine, I am right behind you! I don''t know why I thought you were so far ahead of me. Btw, I asked my doctor about the possibility of a molar pregnancy and she looked at me like I was crazy. She was like, where on earth did you even hear of that? She did say that they are so rare.

Neat, hope you won''t be sticking around for long for your sake.

Thanks all! Neat, this is exactly what I''ve been thinking about. For it to be molar, it means we would have had to have originally had 2 eggs, 1 that developed into the fetus and one that is molar. But neither dh or I have ANY twins in the family, so the chances of this seem pretty slim, which means the chances of it being molar at all are pretty slim! That''s at least what I''m telling myself!

I think that is a fair assessment based on what I have read. MANY women have cysts or fibroids that rupture or bleed when they become preggo and then cause some bleeding but no other problems. On the other hand the odds of a molar pregnancy are already super low AND the odds of twins are so low that it seems unlikely unless I am missing something about the situation...

Neat and Sabine, it looks like there are 2 types of partial moles. From Americanpregnancy.com:

* Partial Mole occurs when the mass contains both the abnormal cells and an embryo that has severe defects. In this case the fetus will be overcome by the growing abnormal mass rather quickly.

* An extremely rare version of a partial mole is when twins are conceived but one embryo begins to develop normally while the other is a mole. In these cases, the healthy embryo will very quickly be consumed by the abnormal growth.

So, the twin version is an extremely rare version of an extremely rare condition. The regular partial mole seems like it should be able to be ruled out since it says the fetus would be overcome by the abnormal cells rather quickly. I don''t really think of more than 7 weeks as being "rather quickly."

I''m so excited about your baby''s heartbeat, Sabine! I really think everything''s going to be ok!

I''m glad to know I''m not the only one with uncontrollable hunger. As far as eating healthy goes, I''m pretty sure that''s out the window for at least tonight. My cookies were exchanged for the big family cookie exchange and I now have 10 dozen different kinds of cookies.

Mmmmm.

I ordered a doppler last week (the hibebe without the digital display from healthchecksystems.com) and it arrived today. It took a while, but we were able to find the heartbeat! Whew! Now I just hope we can find it again in about a week so I can relax before we tell everyone!

Sabine, that is GREAT news! I had a cyst at first also and it''s gone now. It didn''t rupture though and I never had bleeding. It''s pretty normal to get them I hear.

Mela, LOL at the "Toni Braxton, Taylor Hicks" comment. You''re silly! That baby is precious!!
