Hi ladies and thanks for all the welcomes!
I don''t have my 1st OB appt until 10 wks.... I''m around 6wks. When I spoke to my OB on the phone to make my 1st appt she said to buy the One A Day prenatals... they also come with DHA vitamins and to take both of them. (I have been taking prenatals since May though... just not the DHA)
So for those who take it.... I need some help!!! So far I have been feeling okay. Not getting sick but nauseated throughout the day. It''s doable. However, the DHA vitamin, when I burp it.... this is SO gross... tastes like fish. It makes me gag and my eyes fill up with tears. Now, I LOVE fish, but this side effect is disgusting.
I wanted to get rid of them, but then of course I read up on how good they are for the baby''s brain and eyes and I would feel guilty not taking it. Does anyone have any tricks that worked? I was thinking of washing it down with orange juice since that taste is so strong it should mask everything else..???
Any advice?

Awww, Blen adorable belly! How many weeks were you in the flatter tummy picture? You''re about 24 now, right?
Pandora, I give up! I never found your name and when I posted a print screen on here to show you, admin removed it. I suppose you could find me and I have the same name as here also.
Neat, they are just beautiful!! I wanna squeeze them!
ETA: Nevermind, Pandora. Thanks, LadyCeil. I''m a goof.
nycbkgirl, please be careful with ''natural'' products. Arsenic and Hemlock are natural too, but I wouldn''t suggest taking themDate: 12/21/2008 1:09:11 PM

You guys are all so amazing, so as a reward here is another picture from today! We are all doing really well, just enjoying our time together. Let me tell you that all the discomforts of pregnancy are so totally worth it when you look into the eyes of your kid(s) for the first time. Really amazing.
As for the birth story, there isn't much of one since it was a scheduled c-section! I was 37 w 6d, and we were scheduled for a c-section because Baby B (Dexter) was butt first. I was completely terrified of the spinal anesthesia, but really, it was super easy. The worst part about the entire thing was the nausea that I experienced in the OR, but they quickly got rid of it once I told them about it. The most amusing part of the delivery was that poor little Dexter had to be pulled out by the scrotum! Poor guy...his junk was just swollen huge yesterday! The surgery took under 45 minutes total and really it has been a pretty easy recovery so far. I can carry and hold the boys and am only a bit sore where the incision is. You do feel a bit detached from the process, but not from the babies. It was very easy for me to bond with them.
Sorry I can't reply to everyone individually, it's obviously a bit busy around here! Love you guys! (Max is on the left)
Sounds about right Blen. I have exercises to stabilise my spine that my spinal physio taught me and normally those muscles are super strong, but now something as simple as stepping off the kerb is jarring everything unless I''m careful. I''m getting quite nervous on public transport if I''m not sitting down (our bus drivers are maniacs here) and winter coats are not conducive to pointing out one is pregnant and getting said seat...Date: 12/22/2008 7:08:36 PM

Thanks, everyone! The first pic was taken at 9 weeks 5 days, and the second at 24 weeks 1 day. I''m 24 weeks 4 days today. I went from 3w1d to 23w6d with no haircuts, which really helps with hair growth.I think I get more people confused about whether or not I''m pregnant when I''m wearing a pullover or sweatshirt, but I still think I look pregnant in them!
DD - really cute belly! Definitely looking preggo now.
Courtney - work on good posture and on taking breaks to walk around every once in a while. Leaning forward is not so good. Back strengthening exercises (like the cat-cow in yoga) can also help.
Pandora, you mean like me pulling my hip (or whatever I did to it) by just walking down the street on Friday? (It''s finally starting to feel better, after a lot of rest.) And I''ve had ongoing problems with tailbone pain since pretty early on. My m/w taught hubby how to apply counterpressure to my tailbone and him doing that every once in a while does wonders. Plus it''s useful to know for labor!
DH went to work today, after a week of vacation, and was laid off within the hour. So it''s official now. No more wondering. The good news is that we know for sure that he gets Christmas off now.
We''re making progress on names, I think. Does anyone see any potential problems with Mary Wilhelmina or George Everett? We went a couple of weeks with Virginia Mary in the lead before we realized what was wrong with that one, and George Walker for a little bit before we remembered this guy, and a few hours with one with horrible tease-worthy initials, so I want to run the names by someone else just to make sure that we''re not missing something. (I know that you can''t help with the initials, but the ones for these names are fine.) George Lyell''s also on the table, or Virginia _______ (middle name not Mary). Mary, Virginia, Everett, Lyell, and Walker are all family names.
