Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Ellaila: TWINS!! wheee! You are gonna have so much fun.
9.gif
hey, one piece of advice I can give you is to rent a hospital grade pump at first for help with bfing. If things work out great (or you wind up pumping exclusively) you will like having a monster machine that gets the job done fast. They are tons better than the Medelas in the store. (which are great, don''t get me wrong, but the hospital grade ones are really efficient--something a mom of twins might prefer). Just an idea. Another nice thing about renting is that if you don''t continue for whatever reason, you are not out $300 on a pump. Although, I lent mine to a friend, & she used it for almost a year & then bought me a GORGEOUS Fleurville diaper bag as a thank you, so that was a nice surprise. LOL.

So I had my DA today....haven''t gained a pound in a month!!!
36.gif
I''m eating though!!! But I do get so sick at night that I have to force myself to eat something (and it usually winds up being toast & veggies or fruit & some milk...non-heartburn inducing items). I did treat myself to a really fattening hamburger, onion rings, and shake y''day...(and paid for it in heartburn) but dang it was yummers.

My ultrasound is scheduled for next friday & I will know if I''m having a scheduled C-Section or if I can go and try for a V. delivery. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!! Aarrgggh, I can''t wait one more week!! Its killin'' me! I want a normal delivery...but I can''t stress/obsess over it. I just can''t. What will be will be.

I think I''m going to go have some fun & wash Delaney''s clothes... cute!!!

Thanks Ella and Diver.

Ella, my mom rented a BP from the hospital when she had my brother (at 28 weeks). He was in the hospital for so long she pumped to keep her milk going and actually filled the freezer with it. I don''t remember if she actually took it to the hospital for him. I do remember she donated blood for him every week. Anyways she said I should rent one too (and I am having just one!). You''ll do just fine!

Diver, yay for no weight gain! Mine has slowed down too. I still can''t believe I measured a week small
33.gif
I feel HUGE. But I do feel like my belly has narrowed a little and I am liking that *much* more. I hope your u/s goes well. I am totally in love with that pottery barn bookcase you have in Jake''s room. I don''t really want to pay retail for it though. There is an outlet kind of close to our house. Maybe I will head over there.

I think my MIL and SIL are coming down for labor day weekend. My MIL really wants to help (with whatever we might need). It will just be a nice distraction. I am hoping to have most of the nursery done by then but maybe I will save some small job for her so she feels useful.

I got this email today and I thought you pregnant ladies might enjoy it

Pregnancy, Estrogen and Women

Pregnancy Q &A &more!

Q: Should I have a baby after 35?
A: No, 35 children is enough.

Q: I''m two months pregnant now. When will my baby move?
A: With any luck, right after he finishes college.

Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby''s sex?
A: Childbirth.

Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she''s borderline irrational.
A: So what''s your question?

Q: My childbirth instructor says it''s not pain I''ll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?
A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.

Q: When is the best time to get an epidural?
A: Right after you find out you''re pregnant.

Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labor?
A: Not unless the word "alimony" means anything to you.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?
A: Yes, pregnancy.

Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?
A: Not if you change the baby''s diaper very quickly.

Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?
A: When the kids are in college.

Hiya ladies!

I was at a baby's 1st birthday party yesterday, and I wound up getting lots of gifts -- four bags of baby boy clothes, a baby bjorn, a sling, some bottles, a jumper, etc. -- whoo hoo, jackpot! Of course I have no idea if I'll actually need/want most of this stuff, but it's kind of hard to refuse when someone's offering it all up. One of my friends was there and her due date was sometime this weekend, and I just felt so bad for her -- it was SO hot out, and the poor thing was 40 weeks pregnant and SO ready to get that baby girl out!

So, did any/most of you guys get rib pain? I don't think it's from the babies kicking (I haven't really felt anything since those flutterings a few weeks ago) -- I think it's my ribs expanding to make room for the babes. Youch. It hurts just even writing that. I get SO uncomfortable every afternoon (am fine in the mornings) -- I sneak behiind my office door everyday and loosen my bra to get to get some relief! I know it's not my bra that's causing the pain, but even just getting that slightly off of me does help (though it's not so great wearing a loose bra either, but it's the better of two evils for sure!). Other than that though, I still feel pretty good, so trying not to complain too much about the aches and pains I do have.

Hope you're all having a good weekend. It's been quiet here lately, so I assume you guys are up to other fun things
1.gif

Ella, I don''t think I have had rib pain. I am sure it is normal though (stretching). How fun you got some goodies! With twins you need everything you can get.

I have all the baby stuff in our guest room and put all the clothes on the bed (in piles like 0-3, 3-6, 6-12, 12+) just to figure out what all I have. I have about 20 bibs (not counting my 5 plastic, eating only bibs)! 5 new born caps, 8 wash clothes, seriously around 20 + recieving blankets (how many do you really need?), 6 newborn gowns (do they wear those instead of sleepers so they can move their legs??? For how long?) Lots of socks. My largest pile is the 3-6 month which is good but that newborn is pretty big. I didn''t even add in all the onies that were made at my first shower. I only have two sleep sacks, how many should I have? I think it is SO obvious which clothes I bought compared to everyone else since mine are not babyish AT ALL. I bought like gray hooded sweatshirts/pants and everyone else bought me stuff that says "mommy''s angel" and "I love my grandma".

What size clothes do I bring her/him home in? Newborn right? A sleeper? Outfit? I am so confused
15.gif

I am 29 weeks today. I am starting to get pretty excited (and nervous!) Plus it is our 1 year anni today. We don''t really have any plans though. I would be happy going out to dinner.

mrssalvo, thanks for a good laugh!

ella, ouch! Hope your rib pain gets better soon!

Tacori, happy 1 year anniversary!
36.gif
Our 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks!

Snlee, congrats to you and Mr Snlee as well!

Argg..I just found ANOTHER bag of clothes from my MIL Now the newborn pile is larger
20.gif
. I wish I knew how large our baby is going to be. It would make life SO much easier. Oh well!

annnnnd the ever controversial breastfeeding. I would definitely not go so far as to say that formula babies are AS healthy as those who are breastfed. We know that is just not true. Which is not to say that formula babies are sickly by any stretch either. but there truly are both acute and lifetime benefits to breastfeeding.

Obviously, each woman needs to make her own well-informed choice. But I do believe it is in each child's best interest to give breastfeeding a good effort. I understand that there are plenty of reasons that people will choose not to breastfeed and plenty of them are extremely valid. Also, fyi, breastfeeding should not hurt when done properly (mastitis is a separate thing completely, of course!). Formulas today are better now than they ever have been, but the milk made especially for the baby will always be better. I wish all of you and your little ones the best, regardless
1.gif

And for the record, I was breastfed and am very nearly a physician
3.gif

Icekid, see its comments like this that make my blood boil. I appreciate what you are trying to say, I know its meant to helpful but I have to say: THATS NOT NECCESARILY TRUE.

Diver,

I meant no offense to you at all. you obviously worked your butt off trying to nurse your little guy, and it just did not work out. I certainly cannot blame you for giving up- I am sure I would have as well. And I will certainly ammend that statement to say "If it goes well and without problem AND is done properly, breastfeeing should not hurt
3.gif
"

And nursing does take SERIOUS work and effort. I KNOW it is not easy. I spent a couple days with the lactatation counselors at one of the hospitals here and I was so surprised! I mean, breastfeeding- seems like the most natural thing in the world, and it should just work and be second nature. But each new mom required tons of counseling and explaining. Until then, I'd had no idea about how hard it can be to get started. I think many new moms do not realize that it can take breastfeeding days/weeks to work really well.

Just curious- do the lactation counselors you guys have encountered recommend the "football" position? When we were counseling our patients, just switching to that position seemed to make a huge difference because the baby would not be nipple-feeding then (which IS painful).

All of that said, I still believe that breast milk is the best IF you can make it work for you. and most should be capable of it. The body is amazing at making the perfect cocktail for your little one. Did you know that if your baby is born early that your body produces a differerent milk composition than if born at term? I just think it's remarkable.

Hey icekid,
35.gif

Are you in your 4th year?? My that seems to have flown by. Easy for me to say, I know. You gave great advice!! What will be your specialty?? I''m excited for you, being in that home stretch must be a great feeling, as well as a huge accomplishment!!
36.gif
Lisa,

I knooooow, I so cannot believe it. Almost done!! And shockingly given my breastfeeding convictions, I absolutely hated ob/gyn
3.gif
But I did love peds, and I that is why I care so much about what our kiddies are eating hehe.

And I am going into ophthalmology! I loooooove it. Eyes are so fun
36.gif

sorry for the threadjacking, all!

What size clothes do I bring her/him home in? Newborn right? A sleeper? Outfit? I am so confused
15.gif

tacori, you might take a couple of outfits. my hospital also has a mini photo studio where they will take newborn pics and it''s wonderful to have them so I brought one little outfit for those. Lily was born in DEc. so she went home in a little sleeper. also, Lily was born at almost 9 lbs so some of the newborn stuff i had was already too small so you might bring something for the next size up too..

Thanks MrsS! Not sure why I am so overwhlemed by the small decisions. Our hospital does the picture things too. It will be the end of Oct so not too cold (here in NC). So a long sleeve sleeper sounds good.

That's a lot of receiving blankets. I only had 4 and that was plenty. I used them for swaddling at the newborn stage. What you'll tons of are burp clothes. I use the cheap diaper clothes for that. I use it for spit ups and wiping down other baby messes.
9.gif
I never used the baby caps/hats even though they look awfully cute.

I love the newborn gowns. They are for YOUR conveniece; you don't have to mess with button or zips for all those 12 diaper changes a day (round the clock including 12am, 2am, 4am) when your brains are foggy with lack of sleep. Hike up the gown, change the diaper, then pull it back down. Viola, you've just saved a couple minutes.
3.gif
Over the course of the day, the time savings add up.

Oh, socks...never used a single one. Both my babies (and my sis's) could NOT keep a sock on for more than 1 minute.

2 sleepsacks are good. One to wear everynight, then rotate out when it gets a diaper blowout.
3.gif

Homecoming clothes should be in the newborn size. It's up to you if you like a sleeper or pretty outfit. Both mine came home in pretty sleepers (winter babies), but any new parent is certainly allowed to "dress up" their babies in cute outfits for homecoming.
2.gif
My 9 pounder newborn still managed to fit into newborn outfits (for about 2 weeks) so I think it's a pretty safe size.

Thanks Chrono. I know I have way too many recieving blankets. Half of them are flannel so I am sure they will work for burping as well as swaddling. I might regift some of the others. My MIL just went overboard. My dad is going to snag some cloth diapers from the hospital he works out for the messy messes. Sounds like all I need is another sleepsack (right now I have one 0-3 and one 3-6) and then I am set.

Tacori: That''s a ton of recieving blankets! I usually have 4 or 5...I used them for swaddling, and then for clean up duty (spitup, etc...). I used sock a lot, but Jake kept his on... As for the gowns...Jake wore them when he was sleeping swaddled...(makes diaper changes easy....that was my reason) and I usually have 4 to 6 of each size for sleepers/sleepsacks. That can get expensive with the Halo brand, but Carters & Gerber also make sleepsacks & I got mine for $7 apiece.

HARROWING SATURDAY: So saturday was my shower (which was wonderful by the way...but I could barely stay & enjoy) and my son Jake got sick with the pukies. He rarely gets sick, but he''s had a tummy bug before, so I called the ped, got our "gameplan" for rehydration, etc....my dad came over to help my dh so I could go to my shower...I was worried, but like I said, we''ve seen it before & he usually rallies about 2pm after a decent nap & keeping his pedialyte down--so both DH & my dad booted me out of the house.

Well I get home & poor Jake was STILL puking & while he had napped well, he was listless (he''s NEVER listless, even on the rare occasion he gets sick) so we whisk him off to the specialty Children''s ER.

OMG....we wait for hours in the waiting room, but they gave us some Zofran & I was able to start rehydrating successfully at that point. Well long story short, when the ER ped finally examines him he starts asking me a ton of questions about diabetes running in my family. My heart f-ing stopped. My poor DH just froze. Then he starts telling us a bunch of stuff about ketones & blood sugar & that my son smells like acetone so we need to test him for diabetes.

I''m like...what the hell??? So my poor dh is about to crumble & I look at him & say "Jake is NOT diabetic, let''s let them run the test & we''ll worry if we have to worry" but inside I was just dying -- my son is only 2.5!!! Diabetes at that age -- I had all the worst-case-scenarios running through my head.

Well....it was all fine. His blood sugar was normal. And then I realize....Jake had been drinking the pedialyte I brought from home (since he ONLY likes apple flavor--I figured it would be easier for me to bring it than use the hospital''s) and it smells like acetone.
20.gif
That might not have been it, but it definitely has a weird scent the other stuff they gave us didn''t. but hey, at least at this hosp. the docs are pro-active & rule stuff out. I''d rather have that than have something overlooked...its worth the worry.

We didn''t get home till 1am, and I was up all night staring at Jake (I made him sleep in our bed...and he''s a WILD sleeper, so there was no rest for me) and stroking his cute little face. Of course he''s all better, raising hell & eating like crazy now. He woke up yesterday morning singing to me. (singing Temperature by SeanPaul...LOL...can you tell hangs out in my dance studio when I do my choreography for my dance classes? LOL)

Tacori again: I totally overbought with Jake. I had no idea how big he''d be. He was 6lbs, 13oz (born full term), and 21 inches. SKINNY. He didn''t fit into 0-3 mo clothes until he was 10 weeks old. I had to go buy preemie socks for him the day after I brought him home. There''s just no way to tell. I have a lot of stuff for Delaney, but nothing near Jakers...Friday my stepmom & I are headed to the outlets to get hte last of it.

brb!

Diver,
What a scare. I''m glad Jake''s better now.

I feel so badly for #2 babies. They really get the shaft especially if they are of the same gender as the older child. All the hand me downs and lesser stuff. I am especially more aware of this as I myself am a #2 baby, so I try my best to get at least a few new things for the new guy.
12.gif

Glad Jake is feeling better, Diver! And what a scare about the diabetes -- doctors can scare the bejeezus out of you, can''t they? Sometimes I wish they''d just not say anything until they actually know something definitively. I mean, I know he had to say something to you in order to run the tests, but still ... all that worrying for nothing. But as you said, it''s good that they at least were looking for the signs and were proactive with the tests. Give the little guy a few extra hugs today
9.gif

I had a weird morning myself today. I woke up, felt fine (tired of course, but OK), showered, blowdried my hair, and then I just could not stop sweating. Literally, for like 30 minutes I was just sweating. I got into the car to go to work, had the AC blasting on me and was drinking water, and still I was melting and then I felt like I was about to pass out. So I turned around and drove home and took a nap in front of the AC (with kitty curled up next to me), and thankfully I felt better once I woke up. It was so icky though!

And I currently have a call in to my doctor about some leg pain I''ve been having. I''ve been getting occasional leg cramps in my left leg at night, and I know that''s common during pregnancy, but for the past week-plus my leg has also been really achy when I lie down, and it''s affecting what little sleep I''m able to get! I''m fine when I''m standing or sitting, but once I lie down, it''s a constant dull ache right near the outside/back of my knee. Since it''s only when I''m lying down, it must be some circulation issue, right? So, being Ms. Paranoid that I am, I''m convincing myself that I''ve got a blood clot or something
33.gif
I wasn''t sure whether to freak out or not about it, but I looked up something about leg pain and preganancy, and it said to report all leg pain to your doctor, so I figured I''d rather be safe than sorry. Let him think I''m a PITA, as long as my babies are healthy!

Tacori, belated happy one-year anniversary!! Ours is coming up in a few weeks too. What a difference a year makes, eh? Whoo hoo!

Definitely going to have to bookmark this page for all the newborn info!

Ellaila: Oh god, you sound just like me. Leg pain = blood clot. Riot...Good thing you called the doc....better to ask a question about nothing than to ignore something. I hope you feel better today!

Braxton Hicks: Torture..really. I am BHing all over the place. I swear...I do ANYTHING and I''m one big contraction. And I''m sorry, but they hurt. Not "labor contraction" hurt but they certainly don''t feel good. I remember this from Jake. They never hurt until the last stretch with me. I read this is normal & the fact they are lower abdomen vs. upper is one way to tell its not labor. But hoooooo..Delaney is low in there & it feels like she''s gonna reach out and smack me in the knee somedays. Lightning out my netherregions. Ugh. Fun fun fun.

Chrono: Well, my 2nd is definitely getting spoiled. Her nursery is already Tres Cuter than Jake''s was...(but his was adorable & I put a ton of time & effort into it, but she''s getting her room REMODELED.) I may not have an over abundance of outfits, but that''s because I''m waiting because I''d rather buy her stuff that fits when she gets here & is her "style" (also hard to tell until you meet them). But I get what you are saying. I actually picked out new nursery bedding if it were to be a boy again, because I didn''t want to give him Jake''s hand-me-downs.

I am reusing all the cute gender neutral outfits I had for Jake...(gowns, caps, etc..), and I''m reusing my baby gear...but other than that, she gets her own stuff.

And not to leave Jake out....we are remodeling his bedroom next. He has a KILLER new theme/bedding all sorts of great stuff on deck...he loves his new bedding..he pulls it out of my closet sometimes (where I''m storing it) and lays on it & names off all the balls on it. (athletic theme from pottery barn kids). I am such a sucker.

athletics.jpg

Diver, so sorry to hear about Jake! Glad he is doing better. It is funny how many recieving blankets and bibs I have. I think I might give some away or maybe save them for baby #2. I love his big boy bedding!!! I am still lusting after his bookcase. Hoping to find it somewhere cheaper though. Did you get good stuff at your shower?

Ella, I get bad leg cramps too. My outer left thigh actually went numb for 3 months. My uterus was pinching a nerve. All totally normal.
1.gif
Plus my tail bone has been bothering me again. Gotta love pregnancy!

Chrono, I am the 2nd girl and it is tough being the middle child! My sister is the oldest, my brother the only boy and the youngest. I often felt neglected. I am SURE I wasn''t but it is typical middle child stuff.

GREAT NEWS LADIES! DH has started the nursery!!!!
36.gif
He spent an hour last night figuring out all the angles for the crown molding. It will be crazy thick
20.gif
I personally could care less but seeing thick molding it is like seeing a pretty diamond to me. I have learned to accept this. He was like a little boy on X-mas getting all his tools out. He might have even giggled (okay probably not but was slightly giddy).

I sent my mom this thing from Whattoexpect.com about the baby at 29 weeks. It says the baby should be around 17". My mom was amazed since my brother was only 12" at birth!

EDD: 10.28

diver, the PBK bedding for Jake''s room is so cute. I have PBK stuff in my girls room now and plan on redoing their rooms again when we move in the near future. they are also moving up into full size beds and will have their own room. If our next is a boy I totally want the PBK boat bed. they just have such cute stuff for boys nowadays. i''m sorry he was sick but so glad he''s doing better. kids bounce back so quick don''t they?

tacori, yay for your hubby starting the nursery
36.gif

Hi ladies!

Diver, what a scare! My heart thumped a bit faster reading your story...my maternal gene must be kicking in!

Tacori, woo hoo for the nursery!

Ella, I get the sweats too, but not as bad as that. I am sure it will only get worse as time goes on. Hopefully everything is OK with you health wise...and you are right...as long as the babies are healthy, who cares what the doc thinks?

Well, I was gone all last week on business to Napa Valley. I had my first prenatal today and all is good! One baby and one heartbeat in the right place! There is also a mysterious blob in there along with the TTot, but the doc didn''t seem too concerned, except to say it was abnormal. So I guess I won''t sweat over it right now, but I am now wondering what the mystery blob is.

Oh, and WHY have I not read anything regarding the first ultrasound, which I have now dubbed The D*ldosound! Yeesh!
23.gif

TGal, where is this "blob" located? Did they give your a due date? Isn''t hearing the heartbeat so cool!

So I was thinking today of all the things I miss.
I miss sleeping on my back & stomach
I miss having energy
I miss NOT having to eat 8 Tums a day
20.gif

I miss sleeping through the night WITHOUT having to get up and pee 3-4 times
I miss a really good margarita
18.gif

I miss brie cheese
I miss cold ham subs
I miss seeing my feet
37.gif

I miss my waist
I miss my memory
I miss feeling cold (Haha)

BUT feeling the baby move makes everything worth it. I am starting to get SO excited to meet baby T!

What does everyone miss?

By the way Jelly Bellys are SOOOOO good. I didn''t need as many as I ate but wow. Almost makes up for no margarita
2.gif

I''ve really been enjoying this thread, although I only joined you today on page 50. I felt I should announce my presence; otherwise I feel as if I am eavesdropping! I had thought that a thread for pregnant women would be all about pregnancy, but it is also about children and I have a 14 year-old whose early years are still very fresh in my mind! In fact the story of Jake immediately made me think of Whitney getting appendicitis when we were on vacation in Maine. I had to do so much negotiating with the various emergency room and clinic personnel over a period of days before she was helped!

This is just a great thread. I hope everyone and her children stays well!

I already miss sushi, but I think my list will grow like yours!

The blob looks like it''s right up against TTot, and both look like they are in a black sac in the ultrasound. The blob is as big as TTot, but wider. Almost looks like it could have been a twin that turned into a blob. But only one heartbeat. Maybe later I can scan this thing in and show you.

Due date, March 28th. My bet''s on April Fool''s Day.
3.gif

Deb, your comments are ALWAYS welcome!

TGal, hmmmm...I had a blob but it was an ovian cyst (obviously located differently than yours). I hope they can figure it out. But if they are not worried, you shouldn''t either.

I know there are other things I miss but just can''t think of right now.

Welcome to the thread Deb!!
1.gif

Tgal, as I was reading your post, my first thought was maybe the blob was a twin that didn't make it???
I'm glad they weren't too worried about it. Maybe it will dissolve or be absorbed by the next ultrasound??

Laughed out loud at the d*ldosound, TGal! It''s preggo gals'' secret -- now that you''re in on it, you have to promise not to tell any other unsuspecting soon-to-be-mommies and let them experience it for themselves
2.gif
Actually I wasn''t even sure if they did those on everyone or not. I did have it but that''s b/c I have (well, had!) a tipped uterus, which made it hard for her to see the babies with the normal, err noninvasive, u/s. As for the blob, my first thought too was that it was a twin that vanished. But if that''s what it was, at least it happened early enough that you weren''t aware there were two babies in there. But who knows if that''s really what it was. Maybe you''ve always had a blob in there but never knew it until the u/s!

Tacori, pleeeeeaaase post nursery photos once it''s done (or even while it''s still a WIP), OK? And I hear you on the Jelly Bellys -- I haven''t had any of those recently, but I did just polish off a container of licorice from Au Bon Pain. Thought I was gonna hurl but still kept going .. why?! There''s just something so darn addictive about chewy treats!

Oh, do I miss sleeping on my belly! And well, just sleeping in general! Also I miss turkey sandwiches and queso blanco A LOT. And I miss being able to walk up the stairs at work without getting all short of breath. Other than that though, I kind of dig being pregnant! Even the aches and pains, annoying as they are, are all worth it!

So I saw my dr. today (primary care, not OB) and she sent me for a venous doppler (sp?) -- basically an u/s of the leg. And whoo hoo, I''m clot-free

Still not sure what is causing the leg pain, but as long as I know it''s nothing serious, then I''ll just suck it up and deal with it.

Oh, and more shower news -- plans have changed a bit, and now my Mom is throwing me a shower on October 13. And the best part is that she is willing to invite my Dad''s wife and her family, so I don''t have to deal with any stress involving what to do about that!! Yay, Mom!!!!!

OK, dinner time -- the babies need foooooood.

ella, the plan was to have the nursery done by Sat (when he goes to Vegas) but I really don't see that happening! Don't worry I will post lots of pics. It won't be complete for awhile (still waiting for my nursing chair for example). It's fun to go in there and stare (well try to imagine the furniture in there). We will have it done for sure before labor day weekend (when MIL and SIL come to visit). MIL gets a kick out of that kind of stuff so I know she will enjoy seeing it done. She actually called me today to tell me the winter sleep sacks are out. Hopefully if she bought any she didn't go over board like with the blankets & bibs. I guess it makes her happy.

Glad your leg is nothing serious. You get used to it. Yeah to your shower! My last one is in september. Then I am on my own. I am glad I will still have a month or so to buy all the stuff I want/need before the baby comes.

Strangers are starting to comment now about my pregnancy. That's fun. My deductable finally kicked in (I had a pay down HSA plan) so I got my prenatals for free today

Everything *should* be free now. We'll see how that all happens.

ETA: I didn't think the d*ldosound was so bad/uncomfortable. I guess I was so excited to see our baby at 6 weeks (even though we barely saw anything

) I didn't care!

Hello preggo ladies on PS!

It''s official: my husband and I are trying to concieve! I got bit by the baby bug a few months ago but we decided to wait and now it''s time. I have less than 1 week left of my bc pills and then we are going for it. I went to my family doctor on Monday for a pre-conception visit and everything is fine. She reccommended a pre-natal vitamin and gave me some referrals for OB''s in my insurance network. It is such an exciting time for us. I never really wanted children until I met my husband and we''ve been married 2 years now. Our mothers were so excited when we told them which is such a great feeling.

I''m really feeling like I''m surrounded by preggos these days - bosses wife is expecting baby #3 (boy), owner of the dance studio is expecting baby #2 (also a boy), gal at the jeweler just finished her first trimester with her first and one of my college girlfriends is expecting babies #2 and #3 (twins) in March - not to mention all of the lovely ladies on here.

I''ve been following this thread a bit but skipped pages 26-49 in order to get caught up to what''s going on right now. Happy pregnancies everyone and I''ll keep you posted!
