Court- u look amazing!

Fiery- thanks ...I figure it was ok but don''t know if I can take it every single night...without tyl pm I won''t be able to sleep at night bc I need a pain killer ...the pain is excruciating....

any thoughts pandora??
I had a look at Tylenol pm (we don''t have it here) and it''s a mix of paracetamol and diphenhydramine. Paracetamol is fine when you''re pregnant - just don''t exceed the daily dosage.

Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine and is a Category B drug, so I can''t see why you need to worry. I took a look at some of the research papers and can''t see any problems.

All the meds I''m on are Category C if that makes you feel any better!
1.gif

If you just want a painkiller, why not just take the paracetamol on its own? Probably just as effective and less different chemicals?

Pandora- thanks! I take the pm bc its at night and I need to sleep...otherwise I would just take the regular tylenol. Nurse called said I need to put 3 pillows...between stomach and bed, behing back, and in between legs...so I shall try that but im so worried to get dependent on the painkillers...and won''t babies be dependent??

Sapphire- u r 2 cute ...tiny lil thing! Love the tats :)

Fiery- glad dh insisted on yellow..I hate too much pink lol...so the combos suggested sound perfect!

Ebree- ugh moving is sooo hard and frustrating!

Mandy - so sorry about your sissy-pops friend.

I am surprised too, totally "saw" girl for you. How fun, though!!!!!!!!

Will read everything later when we get back on Sunday. I will take a belly pic here and then post.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for all the congrats everyone! I''ll have to read more in depth this weekend!
Here''s my 18 week pic!

Eeeeeeek all these adorable belly shots are triggering my baby itch!!

CDT & others--RE: labor coaches: i was surprised at how much i liked my mom around too (i would *never* had predicted that in a million years) in fact, DH totally annoyed me. He was so supportive and wonderful but when he said things like "you can do it, you are doing wonderfully " etc. etc. i felt like saying "f-off, you have NO idea" but when my massage therapist/friend/coach would say encouraging things, i actually believed her. I thought since DH loves me he is biased and forced to be encouraging, but nurses, coaches etc. were not as much so. make sense?
I had a very similar birth to DD (up all night, water broke early, induced, hooked up so i couldn''t move around, big babe) and like her i don''t think i would have gotten thru without good support!!!
Same goes for post baby support. My mom usually drives me nuts, but for those 2 weeks immediately after the birth i was so thankful for her help and for someone to talk to about the roller coaster of emotions i was feeling. Again, DH was wonderful, but has obviously never gone thru it, so a woman/mom was a must for me.... unfortunately she''s gone back to being annoying again

2.gif

Robbie - u look so cute! I''m calling boy for you, but i''m always wrong
3.gif

Sabine - you look great! You''re glowing!

Jas - thanks for weighing in on the mom/support. My mom normally drives me mad, so it''ll be interesting for me to see if i want her around. Who knows, I may just want my mommy when i become one
9.gif
It''s funny because a lot of my mom issues have to do w/ the fact we are so much alike (stubborn)....hehehe....I guess i get on my own nerves sometimes too
11.gif

Ok here''s my 25w1d shot!

25 week collage.jpg

Here's a pic of me. I promise that what you are looking at is not sweat. The shirt is see through and I had on a white bra (I'm mentioning this after my brother sent me a message back going "are you sweating?"...boys...GL those having boys! LOL

)

I'm very hungry and all I want is a McDonald's cheeseburger
7.gif
. I am not going to have that for dinner but it sucks that I want it

ETA: 22 weeks. I know...I'm going to have a huge baby

Have a great weekend everyone!

M~

I can't get over how tiny you all look. Like you've gained weight NOWHERE except your bellies! Seriously, are you all still in your normal jeans but with bella bands? You just look so tiny! Just these little ball bellies and perfect everywhere else! I'm jealous already, I just have this feeling I'm going to be one of those preggos that gets big everywhere. I already feel like my thighs are plumping up
7.gif
.

Mrs- you look amazing. That is such an awesome picture. Definitely one for the baby's scrap book. So pretty.

Dreamer,

Your son is absolutely breath taking!! Congratulations, Mommy!! I love the little puppy feeties!! Adorable! I'm so glad that breastfeeding is working better now.

****
Sabine,

Congrats on having a son soon! How exciting!

(I should be the new Ebree... I've been wrong on most votes, but eventually I have to be right, because I always vote girl!!)

****
I forgot all about belly shot fridays! Lovely babies you all are growing!
9.gif

natalina, I''m with you . . . I just know I''m going to spread in the butt and thighs as well as my belly bump (the result of being a pear, I fear). Because of my M/S, I haven''t been exercising well and I feel all squishy and fatter already. I''m just happy that I lost 20 pounds two years ago so I''m starting at a much better place to add on the gazillion pounds I know I''m going to gain.
20.gif

But on a positive note, I did do a low-intensity Firm workout this morning (Total Body Lite a.k.a. Cardio Sculpt Fusion). Everyone''s M/S advice has been really helpful and helped me feel up for exercise (actually, any activity that doesn''t involve me curled up on the couch asking DH to bring me things is an improvement). DH asked me this morning, "Were you hungry at 3 a.m. when you ate that cracker?" but I was just following the advice to eat in the middle of night if you wake up and to eat before getting out of bed. It seems to be helping.

I guess I always thought I was the kind of person who ate several small meals a day because I don''t usually go more than an hour or two without eating, but Kashi bars and apples don''t count as "meals." I''m finding I really need to eat a turkey sandwich at 5, then a can of soup at 7, then half a pasta dinner at 9, etc. I literally need to eat small meals every two hours not to feel totally awful. Now I only feel slightly awful, which is a big improvement.

Mrs
That's an AWESOME belly picture!!
Love it

Very professional and classy.
I'm impressed that you were able to take it yourself. (is it?)

Mrs I meant to say that I am sorry you will need a c-section, I know how hard it is to have things go a different way than you planned, but breech is just one of those things where you gotta do what you gotta do! Two of my friends recently had c-sections for the same reason. I think in both cases the recovery went well! The one thing is that BFing can be a little harder to establish, but as long as you know that going in then you are probably prepared to deal with it and won''t be shocked if it happens (my friends both needed to supplement a little in the first week as latch and supply issues were worked out. But then again, so did I and I didn''t have a c-section! So maybe you baby will be a champ feeder right away!). LOVE that picture, it is awesome!

Natalina The nice thing about being pregnant is that you look the same to everyone else, just with a big belly, no matter what you gain. I ended up gaining about 55lbs
23.gif
and I don''t feel like I LOOKED like I gained that much! But I lost 30lbs in one week, so lots was water. Anyways, I''m sure you will be gorgeous!

Hey gals! Cute belly pics!!! I just wanted to tell all of you that I got a BFP today!!!!!!!!!! This was my first Clomid cycle, and it worked! I'm 10 DPO, and the line was 3-4x as dark as my last one ever got, so I'm REALLY hoping it's sticky. Projected due date is Nov 18th.

Anyway, I know that there have been several other women on here who had a sticky pregnancy after a chemical, and I'm just wondering if you had any special monitoring or if your dr. suggested anything different for pregnancy #2. I will be calling my dr. on Monday, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice. I know that most miscarriages can't be prevented, but that won't stop me from trying!

Thanks bunches!

Mrs- looking amazin mama!

Peony- omg im soooo happy for u ...I''ve followed ur story and im just so excited. Congrat congrats!

Thanks DD! I''m really hoping that BFing goes well for me. I can''t believe how much colostrum I''m producing right now so I hope that''s a good sign for the future. We''ll see! Did you produce colostrum while pregnant?

natalina, lili, & nyc, thanks for the nice comments on my pic! I did indeed take it myself. I had to take a ton to get one I liked but I''m glad I did. I really don''t like how I look these days so it was nice to get a shot that looks beautiful even if I myself don''t FEEL beautiful.

peony, congrats!! I''m sending you sticky vibrations!!

Peony - Congratulations! I''m so happy for you.

Mrs - I''m sorry about the scheduled cesarean. It sounds like that''s going to be the best thing for the babe, and you''ll get to hold your baby in your arms before you know it now. And your picture just looks amazing. Look at that belly! You look awesome.

Natalina - I''ve outgrown multiple pairs of maternity pants in the thigh and butt area, but people tell me that I look like I''m all belly. I think that big bellies help disguise larger thighs, or at least draw the eye away. So even if you feel like your thighs are plumping up, others may not see it the same way. I''m sure you''ll look really cute.
My pregnancy tea blend includes peppermint.

Pandora - I''ll gladly pass on some nesting tendencies to you. I think both of our hubbies will be happier that way.
2.gif

Courtney - you look great!

Fiery - One thing that my childbirth instructor mentioned is that it can also be frustrating to just have people waiting in the waiting room for hours and hours, even if they''re not in the room with you. If you think you may feel this way, she suggested giving them house keys and telling them to fill the fridge with nutritious and easy food, get laundry caught up, and get the house clean. Then you don''t feel like a watched pot and they feel useful, plus you get to come home to a clean house!
And cute belly!

Ebree - congrats on the new place!

Mela - My DH kept calling me crazy the other day too.
7.gif
Your belly is so cute. Is your belly button starting to pop out?

Jas - thanks for chiming in on the visitors issue.

The office shower yesterday was a lot of fun and we got some really cute clothes and a cloth diaper that looks like a monkey face.
9.gif
My cupcakes were in an accident yesterday after getting picked up from the bakery, but the coworker driving the car saw it coming (multi-car rear end collision, she was the last one hit) and mom-armed the cupcakes to save them. The responding officer even commented that it was amazing that they barely looked touched, while everything else in the car was turned upside down. She was telling me this and I was just like, ok, but how are you and your car feeling?
3.gif

I slept in to noon today (wow) but have already managed to write a third of my thank you notes.

Blenheim, so glad your cupcakes were ok! I take it your coworker is pretty laid-back if she could take the aggravation of a car accident in stride so impressively. It''s easy to let things like that ruin your day, but when there are babies on the way and cupcakes to be eaten, we should rejoice! Yay for your cool coworker!

There is NO WAY that you can get dependent on a tiddly little bit of paracetamol - and neither will the babies! For a start it doesn''t stay in your system long enough and it''s not a habit forming med.

I have the problem where Daisy will be opiate dependent because I will have taken over 50mg of morphine EVERY SINGLE DAY for the whole 40 weeks. The doctors here are taking extra care just in case, but have said that the chance the baby will end up in the SCBU is practically zero and that she probably won''t need any treatment at all. At most they will just give her some opiates every day gradually reducing until she is getting enough to keep her comfortable from breast milk - then I will wean her off as she is weaned onto solid food.

My hospital is used to treating the babies of heroin addicts and apparently even then they don''t have major issues.

I''m even allowed to take extra codeine if my back is bad - and we''re talking 60mg at a time as anything less just does nothing for me.

Even if you were to take Tylenol PM every night for the rest of your pregnancy it probably wouldn''t add up to what I take in one day.

Obviously it''s a good idea to avoid taking anything if you can, but honestly, stressing and worrying and being in pain is likely to cause far more harm! Keep calm, do what you need to do to keep yourself as happy and comfortable as possible and don''t worry!

Blen- that story was amazing about the cupcakes lol..glad everyone is ok and they are too :) cute cute monkey.

Pandora- thanks bc im not much of a med person myself so having to think of all I''ve just put babies thru...including morphine, demerol, 2 ct scans and 2 mri''s..and countless u/s''s. So now having to constantly take tyl was just too scary for me...so I tried using the pillows last nite and it worked no pain....I ordered a maternity pillow maybe will be better. But tyl pm really alleviates the pain and lets me sleep...I had to be strong not to take it last nite but I will probably take it a few times per week. Wow you really do go thru a lot and I appreciate your help and knowledge..thanks!

Happy to help - sadly pain meds are one of my areas of expertise...and I''m lucky to have great doctors and specialists who encourage me to do the research and try new things (nothing like a willing guinea pig I guess

)

Hope you continue to feel better. The babies will be just fine - they''re tougher than you think!
