Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Pandora, I haven''t heard of craving odd smells, but I''d definitely mention it to your doc.

I''m so pissed right now. I have never made a late payment on a credit card. Ever. I always pay my bills in full as soon as I get them to ensure that this doesn''t happen (we pay for everything with credit to get points). I also get paper copies as well as email notifications. I generally pay when I get the email notification and the paper bill is my backup reminder. I almost never let it get to the backup reminder though.

Well, freakin citibank decided to sell my upromise card (you earn $ instead of points and it goes into a college savings account) to BOA which apparently disabled my email notifications and the paper bill managed to get buried under a pile of stuff on the kitchen counter.

I just found it today. I try to log on to BOA to pay ASAP since it looks like the payment was due yesterday. Can''t log on. I try to create a log on. Can''t. I try to log on to Citibank. Can''t. I Call BOA to get it sorted out and an automated message directs me to call Citibank. So I call Citibank and they tell me that my account is in transition and they can''t help me and BOA won''t be able to help me until the 29th. Uh, are you freakin kidding me?! I''m so pissed. They better waive this late fee if I have one. Best part is that I''ll have to call and sort it all out on my birthday. Awesome. I''ve heard bad things about BOA. I have a feeling they won''t waive the fee AND they''ll raise my rate. Generally not an issue since I pay in full on time, but still. If they do that, I''m just canceling the card. In the 5ish years I''ve had the card, I''ve only earned like $30 for college. I''m just so annoyed that I have to deal with this on my birthday though.

Robbie- that sucks (And happy birthday!). My DH has a card with BOA and I hate them! We can''t ever log on to the online account but they keep telling us that we need to reset the u/n and p/w. We''ve tried that countless times but of course it doesn''t work. They won''t send us paper statements anymore only e-mail payment reminders even though I want BOTH. I really really dislike them but it''s a high limit low interest card so DH wants to keep it. But uh, whenever I get off the phone with them I want to find a punching bag!

Ugh, I''ve also had trouble with BOA, where I have my car loan. They made me keep changing my u/n and pass. if I accidentally entered the wrong one, and then needed to call customer service, only to find I can''t even pay my car payment online! And the same thing happened to me as to Robbie this week. My card was sold, I missed the email, and then created a new account, but it was paid after 4 pm, so I was ONE FREAKING day late, and got a $30 late fee.

I decided to kick of bpf since today is dress down day and I''m happy I get to be comfy at work! Happy weekend everyone!

Robbie-I seriously hate when they switch things over that way. One of my cards were switched a few years back and my apr went up a gagillion points. Hopefully you can get everything sorted out!

Hi mamas to be! I just wanted to pop in and comment about the rib pain that some of you seem to be experiencing. I had it sooo bad for like the entire month before I delivered. My son was a good boy and was head down during that time - meaning that his little feet and knees had no where to go except into my ribcage. Ugh. I was in so much pain and it went away immediately after I delivered thank God! I found that getting on my hands and knees or leaning over a birthing ball helped alleviate some of the pressure. Hang in there ladies! I can''t wait to meet your babies!

I hate Bank of America also.

Last year, they claimed they sent me a letter saying that my interest rate would increase to 19% if I used the card. Apparently I was in New York when I received the letter (I still haven''t seen it) and I used the card for $20.00 at MoMA. Came home and my bill had increased $60.00. They have since dropped the interest rate down considerably---they must have had a lot of complaints.

Also, they were doing a system clean a few months back (December) and my automatic payment account got wiped out and they said I never paid my bill and blah blah blah. I contacted them immediately as I''m also never late on my bills. They checked my history and saw that I was signed up for automatic payments for about 6 months prior. They wound up not charging the late fee...but it was still a stressful time---because I knew how they were in the past and I figured they were going to make me pay the 2 months at the same time and a late fee and it was christmas time! That''s the only decent thing BoA has ever done....admit their huge mistake.

Officially new to this thread but have been lurking on and off for the past few weeks! Was lucky enough to discover it - it''s been a huge help as I''ve navigated my way through the 1st trimester. 16 weeks 6 days today Thank you all!
This may be TMI to get started with but I wanted to ask you ladies about something - wondering if it''s normal or not. I was wearing white underwear yesterday and noticed just the faintest tinge of pink in a bit of the discharge on them. Not even really enough to be considered spotting. I wouldn''t have noticed it if I''d been wearing nude colored ones and there was nothing all day when I wiped. Also hasn''t been anymore since. I have my next appt. on Wednesday but am wondering if I should try and get in today (may be difficult because it''s Friday...) Don''t want to stress unnecessarily though. Has anyone had something similar?

Welcome and congrats! The spotting sounds completely normal to me and nothing to worry about. Have they told you anything about the position of your placenta? Sometimes with low placentas, spotting can occur. I would ask about that at your appt on Wednesday, otherwise I don''t think you have anything to worry about

VERY ODD QUESTION COMING UP...

Okay, I have heard of pregnant women having pica and wanting to eat coal, chalk, bricks etc, but I seem to have developed the most incredible cravings to sniff old-fashioned mothballs or coal-tar shampoo. I have both in the house and I am having real problems not sneaking off to smell them all the time. Am I just very weird - and what the heck could be missing from my diet to make this happen (I believe they think pica is due to some kind of mineral/vitamin deficiency)???

I will ditto softly softly. Pica, in pregnant women (with kids sometimes as well) is usually attributed to an iron deficiency type of anemia. The only reason I know this is because my mother told me that my aunt had it. My aunt would often be caught eating sand at the beach (or at the playground

), and even DIRT, while pregnant. Her doctor eventually had her change her diet up a bit and put her on some supplements. All which seemed to help, because she stopped. This didn''t happen with her second pregnancy.

mela, I brought and used my own pillow, blanket, nursing bra & pads, shampoo, toothbrush etc for DH and I, socks, and going home clothes for baby and me as well (make sure they are preggo clothes). Also clothes for DH. I brought nursing PJs but never used them. Things are errr...messy. That's really all you need.

We went out to hibachi the other night. I was so excited. We love that place. Our server came over and asked if I''m pregnant and I was so excited over it. I said yes and then she follows up with "I couldn''t really tell since you are fat but I thought I''d chance it anyway"

And then she went on to tell me stories about her asking other fat customers if they were pregnant when they really weren''t and laughed about it.

It completely ruined my night.

Between this stupid coworker (who usually is a very nice guy), stupid BOA/Citibank making me have a late payment and general pregnancy grouchiness, the next person to make a comment better watch out because I will be commenting back.

Thanks ladies. I actually wanted to leave because I was so embarrassed. Normally comments about my weight roll right off my back because older Hispanic women have a horrible habit of doing this so I’m used to it (although they always mean well). When comments are made in front of FI I get so embarrassed. But FI kept saying that she is from a different culture and she probably didn’t mean it in that way just doesn’t know how to communicate it well. So I let it go. I think he might have said something to the manager when I went to the restroom though because when I got back, we had a different server and the manager kept asking if everything was going well
