Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Anchor,

You can''t control your own ability to become pregnant on any specific timeframe, let alone work it around someone else''s time schedule!!

I know it may be difficult for them to handle, especially if they''ve been trying for a while and have hang ups like PCOS to work through, but don''t ever feel like you''ve done anything to try to beat them to parenthood!!

I hope that everyone in your family rejoices with you when you share the news!

How/when do you plan to tell the news? I always love stories about that!!

Just thought of something, Anchor actually has the highest chance of having twinks out of anyone who didn''t do more than fertility drugs to get pregnant since she''s a fraternal twin herself! Ooh, wonder how many you''ve got baking! Maybe if you mention to the Dr. that you''re a twin you''ll get an earlier u/s to do a head count.

First, I''m an identical twin, and second, I really don''t want twins!

One is enough, thank you very much. lol

Don''t worry Anchor. Identical twins (as far as we know) occur randomly-so your chances are no higher than anyone else!

But I''m confident you could handle it! And CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody for the feedback on when you "popped" and for the votes on boy/girl for me!!! I'm glad Layne/Lane seems to be a hit, I really like it. It has been so hard finding names that DH and I both agree on. Still have NOTHING for a boy!

China- Now that you've planted the seed that my belly will come over night, I'm excited to go to bed so I can wake up and see if its here yet! I'm such a dork! I am DEFINITELY excited for our scan (5/15), which is at 19 weeks 1 day. Can't wait to see what's going on in there!

Mela- Too cute about your hubby being all paranoid! How exciting that things seem to be progressing. Have you said yet what YOU think you're having?

Court- thinking about you and Alila!

Robbie- Boo to the lady in HR. Glad to hear that you have an appt set up where you can get all of your questions answered.

Sabine- hope you get some good rest!

Mandarine- I can't believe you're at 13 weeks tomorrow! Crazy, and fantastic!

Pandora- so so sorry to hear about your DH's grandma. Sad that you cannot go with him to the funeral. Lots of hugs and wishes that he makes it safely back to London before little Daisy gets any ideas about making her appearance!

SoCal- Crazy how different 2 people's bodies can be! Especially since I am not normally small either. Too funny on DH's dream. I have to say, I am really superstitious, so that would end the name for me, too. Not that your child would ever grow up to kill someone (obviously!), but I think I would feel like the name is jinxed or something. Oh, and seems like a lot of us hit our "week" mark on Thursdays...you, me, Pheonixgirl, Mandarine, I think there are more...

Oh my gosh you guys! All this talk of pooping on the table has me in hysterics! Is it messed up that I am more worried about doing that during labor than the pain/tearing, etc? And Pandora, I am SOOOOOO glad you mentioned that your dad said that about he laxatives! I had been thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to help "clean things out", but I never even thought about what could happen if it wasn't fully through your system!
32.gif
Talk about embarassing!

I found out my sister''s baby''s heartbeat at 12.5 weeks was 169, and mine was 144. So we are thinking boy for me and girl for her. Also our conception (didn''t BD until fertility monitor said ovulation) matches up with that, and my sister''s with a girl (BDing 3 days before O). So we''ll see!

P.S. We secretly want a girl. But we''ll love a boy. I can''t really imagine a girl inside me. My gut says boy. Or maybe my gut is just saying I''m hungry again?
2.gif
Five more weeks until we find out!

P.P.S. I swear I have great intentions for finally getting a belly pic.

Thanks fisher! You''re so sweet. We''ll wait a bit before telling our families. I have a running gag with my dad about parking spaces for pregnant women, so we might use that, but I''m not sure about J''s parents.

Now, I have a lot of pregnant PSer''s news to catch up on! Better start reading!

Pandora - my condolences on the passing of your DH''s grandma. I think having Daisy on May 18th would be a perfectly fitting tribute.

I''ll start to visualize your birth for that calender day.
11.gif
My mind can do amazing things. lol.

Anchor - sorry for all your family dramz. Blech.
At this point, you should just kick your feet up, and quietly celebrate the amazing thing growing in your body. This is a nice, special time for you and your DH. Try not to think about anyone else right now.
2.gif
Just enjoy your little miracle!

ETA: Fisher - SO exciting about your friend! Many Congrats to her, and the arrival of her healthy baby

Sorry about the passing of your DH"s grandma, Pandora. Sounds like she lived a very full life, though.

Anchor, sorry that you''re worried about your brother''s reaction. Hopefully he''ll realize that you and hubs having a baby isn''t about him and it''s not something to be competitive about, just happy. After all, he''s going to be an uncle! Will this be his first niece or nephew? Sorry about the twin confusion. I could''ve sworn you guys were fraternal. I swear I remember looking at your wedding pics and thinking you two looked different. Perhaps it was the outfits, lol. I agree with Neat though, you strike me as someone who would be able to handle twins well.

It''s 2 am and I can''t sleep. I went to bed around 8:30 and I''ve been up since about midnight. I just keep thinking about the stupid FMLA/STD mess and then I get all stressed out. I''m going to be exhausted at work today

Haha, don''t sweat it. I do think we look different too, but people confuse us all the time.

And, yes, it will my brother''s first niece/nephew; both my parents'' and IL''s first grandchild, in fact. Ah well. If he has a problem with it, it''ll be his problem, not mine. *shrugs*

Sorry you''re having trouble sleeping...

Pandora - My condolences. My prayers are with you and your DH''s family.

Robbie, huge sympathy with the work situation. I sometimes think employers just don''t get how much of an effect their actions can have on you - and that''s when you are not preggo and hormonal!

Mine has till next Wednesday to settle my case which is the deadline for filing the papers with the courts - so I''m working on them a lot this week just in case I end up going into labour. Che stress...

Hey, Mela....

In any spare time you have for visualization, can you add all the TTCers getting knocked to the list?
9.gif

We''ll be in gratitude to ya!

Did your hubby freak out when you got up to pee last night? It''s sweet that he''s so concerned!!

Courtney,

Thinking of you, girly!!

****
Lindsey,

You and your whole family continue to be in our prayers. We hope that you''re doing okay and will be able to come back and talk with us soon.

YESYESYES. I''ll visualize the spermoid and eggie coming together in each and every Ute. There is nothing I want more than to see you all graduate to this thread.

I also want to echo what you said Fisher - to Lindey. I think about you DAILY and hope to see you soon around here. Continuing prayers outward to you...

Meal I realized I didn''t answer yuor Q abou clusted feeding so thought I''d get you here: Cluster feeding is when a baby feeds 2 or 3 times in a short period of time, when the baby usually goes 3 hours or so between feeds (so newborns who feed every hour aren''t actually cluster feeding
2.gif
). Many babies do it naturally before bedtime, but you can also encourage it by offering the breast. Most babies will eat if it is offered.

Pandora Yippee for lots of BH! That means you are getting closer!

No word on Courtney yet? I hope she and Alila are doing well!

Is it wrong of me to be sooo excited for maternity leave?
3.gif
I know taking care of children is not a vacation but seriously, I haven''t had more than a week off from work since I was 16. The best part is that I''ll have the entire summer! Hopefully this won''t be a crazy year for hurricanes.

Robbie-Sorry about the HR rep. What a jerk.

Mela and Pandora-It''s so exciting that you guys are so close. CDT-You are next in line after the May babies

Alila Marie was born at 9:55 last night and weighed 7lbs 2 ounces. She''s absolutely beautiful!! I will update later and post birth story once we get home.

Oh Courtney!!!!!!

She's the most adorable little girl! A very many congratulations!! Also, you look AMAZING.

courtney, you both look absolutely glowing. Can''t wait to hear your birth story and welcome baby Alila

Yay, Courtney! Congratulations to you and your husband and families!

Alila is absolutely adorable.

Anchor:

Congratulations! I hope for a happy and healthy 9 months for you!

Mela: I vote boy for you, most definitely. Great nursery- I love your furniture!

Hi everyone!

So, a girl unfriended me on Facebook because I'm pregnant. She tried for two months, is currently 4w pregnant, and unfriended me because she thinks I didn't deserve to be pregnant. This really bothers me, but Paul said it's her deal, and not mine, so...

ETA: Pandora, so sorry about DH's grandmother. Such a hard thing to go through- despite whether or not it was expected.

Yay Alila

Awww, you both look gorgeous!!! Congrats, and can''t wait to hear the story.

A friend "unfriended" you on facebook...are you kidding me! How old is your friend, five??? A true friend would be excited for you!

Courtney! So happy for you! Alila is SOOOOOO CUUUUUTEE!!!!!! Can''t wait to hear your story and see more pics. Glad you are both healthy and safe!!! Congratulations, mama!!!!!

Amber- Could not agree with tao more- seriously! Your husband is right- this girl obviously has issues and is no real friend. First of all, your pregnancy has NOTHING to do with her, how dare her to say you don't 'deserve' to be pregnant! And I would hope that even if a friend did have a legitimate concern (which this most certainly is NOT), to handle it by 'unfriending' you on facebook?!? How very mature. I'm sorry about this.

ETA: Stupid question of the day- If I am 17 weeks pregnant today, I am in my 18th week, right? All these books having different formats of marking progress is scrambling my normally somewhat-intelligent, now preggo-confused brain!

tao, yeah, I was shocked! All of a sudden I was thinking, "Huh, I haven''t seen an update from her..." and checked my friend list- she''s gone! She''s still friends with the 27 OTHER people we have in common, and her "unfriending" occurred simultaneously with my announcement to the close friends. I also read her blog saying she hates all pregnant women, and that she knows she deserves it more (yeah, I DID try for a whole YEAR), and that it''s not fair. Previously, when I had blogged about how hard this TTC thing was, and how long it took me, she replied, "Wow, that''s my worst nightmare- I hope it doesn''t take ME so long!" Thanks.

Congrats Courtney!!! You both are gorgeous. I can''t wait to hear all about it.

Amber That is the most stupid thing I''ve ever read!!!. I understand it is hard and everything...but she''s clearly bananas. I don''t think "deserve" is a proper word to describe anyone''s pregnancies! It''s a blessing and a miracle whenever it does happen.

I had a "friend" unfriend me because she was mad that I got upset when I found out she was spreading our pregnancy news before we started telling people!. Maybe those two should ''friend'' each other

Congratulations Courtney!

I''ll echo everyone else by saying that you look so happy and beautiful...Alila is perfect!
