Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Thanks Fisher! I''m really hoping for you to get your own good news soon too.

Cara! How excting! I think that if you are an analytical/cerebral type it takes longer for it to seem real. I know for me it didn''t really hit home that I was having a baby until I got the concrete, unassailable proof when he emerged from between my legs

cara congrats!!! wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months to come!!
i got an ultrasound at my doc at 5 weeks, 7 weeks, and they continue to do them in office until the 2nd trimester.

Congratulations Cara!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Cara congrats lady!!!!

Hey, guys. I need advice this morning. I woke up feeling really crampy this morning. So now I am a nervous wreck. I don''t know if I should call and bother the doctor about it, or just take it easy today and see what happens. What would you guys do? I just had an ultrasound 2 days ago and things looked good, so I''m probably overreacting, but I just don''t know. Did anyone else get that early on? I am 7 weeks, 2 days today. Thanks!

Steph,

I was pretty crampy almost all of first trimester. It was just like mild period cramps and uncomfortable, not painful. I think as long as they''re not painful or accompanied by any bleeding, it''s normal and just your uterus stretching.

Bad news....I''ve started bleeding. Going to the doctor now

Congrats CARA!!!

Congrats BLUSHING!!!

Steph - I hope everything is ok, you're in my thoughts!!

Hope the rest of you ladies are hanging in there. I feel like we're sinking...this newborn thing is HARD work!!!

Can't wait to meet the new arrivals coming soon!!!

OK, outing myself. Have been lurking for a while but... got a BFP last Thursday. OK, thursday's test was an incredibly faint BFP, had to justify to husband that a little bit pregnant according to the test is still pregnant.
1.gif
The big was mainly in the emotional response, but Friday's test was a little more convincing. Plus I am 10 days late, nauseous at times, sensitive to smells, sore (*)(*), yada yada. Signs point to ---> Knocked up!

Am only around five and a half weeks, and alternating between surreal and nauseous. Currently on surreal. I know they usually say that it takes the men longer to wrap their heads around the pregnancy thing that the women, but my DH seems to be more up on this than me. Keeps asking how 'we' or 'me and little X' are doing
6.gif
. Doesn't help that we're trying to keep this on the D.L. this early, so the hiding adds to the unrealness. Hence, online outing! Who else is brand new at this?
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm exactly 5 1/2 weeks today - 5w3d!!!!! When is your due date? Mine is Feb. 15th. I STILL can NOT believe it....it's still sinking in, but DH and I are soooooooo excited! We've told our immediate families and I told my two BFF's because one of them is 7 weeks preggos so, we get to go through this together!!!
36.gif
BTW - for my first ultrasound, I will be at 7w3d (exactly two weeks from today). I've already gone to the doctor twice last week for bloodtests.

Steph - I''m thinking of you....

cara, congrats!

steph, thinking of you. hope everything is okay.

Oh Steph, sending prayers your way.

Steph, I''m thinking of you too!!!! I had cramping throughout my first trimester and some bright red bleeding at 6-7 weeks, but it turned out to be nothing. Really hope that''s the case for you! *hugs*

Steph, will be thinking of you and wishing for the best.

Steph, thinking of you!!

Steph, prayers are with you!

STEPH- Thinking of you and your little one. Positive thoughts and prayers for you.

Cara- CONGRATS!
36.gif
It is so so surreal. It probably took me the whole first trimester to actually get my head around it. It feels more real now, but what feels real is that I''m pregnant- it is still surreal to me that we will have a BABY at the end of it. Like DD said, until he gets here, you just can''t possibly get your head around something so cool and weird. I did have an u/s at my first appointment, but it completely depends on your dr and your insurance. It seems like most do not get that many, so you might want to ask.

Vizla- LOVE that print. You have stellar taste.

Mandarine- You too. Can you come over and do my nursery? That''s a very similar look to what I want, but I am too lazy to actually do anything about it right now. I mean, you''re not busy or tired, you''re only having twins, right?
2.gif

LL- Not sure what I want to call you. In my mind you''re "Lysser" but when I write "LL", I think "Little L". HMMMM. So BOO and FEH and MEH on the GD test. BUT a lot of people fail the first one, so chin up. In the scheme of all of the weird and icky things we have to go through, it won''t be that bad. Take a good book. Sorry about your emotional outburst! Weirdly mine kinda made me feel better, probably just needed a good cry. Your Cricket is too cute. And dinosaurs!!!! Care to share your bedding???? I''m dino obsessed. I saw the cutest dino onesie the other day, I will try to find a pic for you. Also, Tiffany''s baby collection is all about dinosaurs right now- silver dino picture frames and stuff. Sooo cute. Sooo expensive though.

Sabine- I think Ebree will go first. I think Robbie will go right on her due date (though may go into labor the day before). Hmmm, Fiery??? Not sure girl. Have to go check all your due dates again and decide. S, you are so lucky you have furniture. We are almost upacked, but about 3/4 of our downstairs has NO furniture. I want to wait and take our time to find good stuff, but I also can''t deal with a new baby and an empty house. My nesting instinct is kicking in big-time. Unfortunately, my nesting instinct and my bank account apparently have broken up and are NOT on speaking terms!

Circe- What a great moment first seeing your little one move!

As for me, all good here. I asked my dr about BH and she said the same thing we''ve said here- if more than 4 an hour, call (better to be safe). BUT if you drink water and lay down and they go away, then probably ok. She wasn''t sure if what I was having was BH or not, so she did a cervix check to be safe.
38.gif
WHY does that hurt? I mean, it''s never comfortable, but ouch! She said it''s b/c it''s all swollen down there, plus the cervix is up high. Closer you get to labor, it gets lower so it''s easier to reach and not as uncomfortable. Or so she says. Anyways, good news, all is closed and tight, no labor for me anytime soon.
36.gif
I have too much to do!

Ebree?????? Where art thou?

Thinking of you Steph; I really hope all is well.

Steph-Good luck at the doctors. Prayers and good vibes your way. ((hug))

Steph-I''m keeping you and your bean in my thoughts. Please know we''re all here for you and update us soon.

******
Cara-CONGRATULATIONS

36.gif
. I also got an u/s (internal) when I was 7w exactly so its likely that you will too.

******
Cello-I''m sorry you are feeling so down
7.gif
I really do hope things start to get better soon! Don''t apologize for venting. That''s part of the reason why we are all here!

Anchor-Yay for 2nd tri!
36.gif
I really liked all that 2nd tri brings. You are in for a great time!!

Amber-Yay for great results!

China-Wow 32 weeks! I know those cervix checks are awful
14.gif

Vizsla-Totally not really related to what you wrote but one of my stress reducers is to color! I have a coloring book with crayons at home and when I''m alone, I just start coloring.
3.gif
I really am not all that crazy IRL I promise
2.gif

Mandy-Love your inspiration board!

LL-Sorry about the 1 hour but its true that you could very well pass the 3 hour. Sabine did recently. Don''t worry about the emotional breakdown. You are entitled
2.gif

Sabine-As long as she doesn''t come this weekend while I''m in Orlando I''ll be happy. Have fun shopping this weekend!

Circe-Yay for moving babies lol!

*****
We''ve been doing lots of cleaning. The closer the date comes the more nervous and anxious I''m becoming. I asked Mr. Fiery if he was nervous and he sent me a message saying "Nervous is being unsure of oneself and I''ve never been more sure of anything in my life." It was cute but I wanted to punch him lol (don''t tell him I said that). We''re headed on our road trip this weekend. My doctor gave me the side eyes but approved the trip. I''m really not looking forward to it but oh well.

Other than that, nothing new. I have little feet that are permanently planted on my sides and every time she stretches it hurts. But...it''s little feet I mean how can you not love that
30.gif

steph thinking of you and your little bean. hope everything is ok.

Steph - My fingers are crossed for you and your little one.

Cara - Congratulations!

Hey, guys! You are the best with all the thoughts and prayers, thank you all so very much, it mean a lot to me. We just got back from the doctor. They didn''t see anything out of the ordinary with just an exam, but I am still bleeding lightly. I am going for an ultrasound in a few hours, and I am also going to get blood drawn and then again in 48 hours to see if the levels have doubled or not. So I won''t know anything from the bloodwork until next week, but we will see what the ultrasound shows. On top of all that, our air conditioner went out today...and we are in June in Florida. So pretty crappy day to say the least. I will be back later with updates from the ultrasound. Again, thank you for all the kind words.

Awww, still have my fingers crossed for you Steph!

Oh dear Steph!
8.gif
I hope the ultrasound has good news.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes! Makes me happy to have shared.

Dreamer, do you mean this woln''t be real until there''s a baby?!? Yeah, that seems possible!! But a long time to be in denial
27.gif
Maybe my brain will start working to figure things out when there is a belly.

Fiery, Mr. Fiery sure is sure! I can see why that particular phrasing crossed the line from reassuring to annoying. Tell him not to be too cocky; babies have made mincemeat of stronger men (and women)!

Blushing, we are close! I am due Valentine''s Day according to LMP + 28 day cycle, but I''m not sure that''s right. I got my faint BFP days after you (with prior negatives) and had longer cycles back in my college years before birth control. Either I''m in the few percent that doesn''t test positive until days late or the due date needs a few days fudging for a longer cycle. Here''s hoping for a dating ultrasound!

Steph - Thinking about you too.

And fwiw, I had several episodes of bleeding during the first trimester, one of which was so heavy I soaked a pad...I went to the doc, had an U/S and the baby was just fine, totally oblivious to the fact that I was freaking out! The docs could never tell me why it happened, but I had a couple episodes of actual bleeding, not just spotting.

So thinking good thoughts for you!

Steph, thinking of you and the bean. Sending tons of sticky vibes!!!

Doctor''s appointment for me in less than an hour. My BH(?) have started wrapping around to my back so I''m excited to see what the doc has to say about it. Still not too uncomfortable though so I doubt it means labor is happening any time soon, but it''s still something new! Send progress vibes my way! Someone posted a cool website on the bump. It''s expectnet.com. You can create a baby pool online and have your friends and family enter guesses about baby''s bday, weight and gender. I''m off! I''ll try to catch up for real later.

Steph Thinking of you!

And where the HECK is EBree??? It''s about that time isn''t it???
