Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Tao- love the names. I think you've got a girl in there! Headed over to BWW next to check out your pics
emwink.gif
ETA: Just saw your pics! Gorgeous! Congrats!

Robbie- eek! Scary trip to L&D! Glad everything is okay! And mmmm...chocolate! Me too! Maybe you DO have a girl in there! Nah, I think I still vote BOY! I know you have posted name ideas for boys, but have you said what you are thinking for girls?

Fiery- HILARIOUS on the 'ladyscaping'! I can't believe you had DH help you! That is just too funny! Did the internal hurt?

And since it was brought up... wasn't there a convo on here a LONG time ago about getting waxes while preggo? I go religiously normally, but have been scared to go since I started showing. Not because I am showing, but because I'm afraid it will HURT! Anyone have any feedback? I would really like to get things "back in check" if you know what I mean, and the idea of shaving just doesn't appeal to me. Itch!

Am04- We rented a doppler from storkradio.com and are very happy with it. Started using it around 14 weeks, I think? I just love being able to take a listen whenever I want, and DH really gets into it too. Even now that I feel her move a lot, I still like it. I think I will send it back in about a month, though. Just seems silly to spend the money now that movements are regular and strong. I highly recommend the one we got though. It's just their basic with digital display but no recorder. We have been able to find the heartbeat every time without much searching at all.

Amber- so lucky that your BFF is preggo too! Most of mine already have all the kids they are planning, although one may start trying for her first this month. I have my fingers crossed that it works for them right away so (selfishly) we can experience some of it together!

EBree- uh oh about the pre-e symptoms! I really hope all is okay. Now for my embarassing question- what is effacement?
emembarrassed.gif

China- I flew a couple weeks ago and had a scary experience on the plane, too. I got really light-headed and thought I might get sick, then thought I was going to pass out and had to ask the flight attendant for some OJ to try to feel better. It did not go over well and was embararssing because they were not serving yet, but oh well- it was either that or pass out/barf all over myself! Also sucked because I had a window seat and the guy next to me was HUGE and fell asleep immediately so I could not even go to the bathroom wighout waking him up or climbing over- I totally felt trapped. Note to self- AISLE seats only when preggo! Glad you made it okay. How fun that your friends had a shower for you! And meeting the babies probably really brought it all home!!

I also think I am having BH's. Is 23 weeks too early for this? I just notice that I can be just fine, then all of a sudden I have the weirdest feeling in my uterus. Kind of like it feels really heavy? With a dull 'gotta go pee' sensation? And I just want to kind of put my hands on the lower portion of my belly and hold it? Lasts maybe 30 seconds to a minute? Is this Braxton Hicks? I am on my feet all day for my job and I wonder if this is something to worry about...

Lysser- I can't wait til I can see the belly move! Is it cool? Weird? Alien-ish?!?!? Hope you had a yummy dinner!

Question - I know it's a little too early to start worrying about this, but what did you ladies use to prevent stretch marks and how early did you start using it? I've been hearing different things, but most people have said to start early. Also, I've heard good things about Palmer's (except that it doesn't smell very good) and Mama bee, by Burt's Bees - any suggestions??

Sorry but there is nothing you can do to prevent them. It's genetic so either you'll get em or you won't. But all those creams do help with itchy skin!

And I don't think I popped in to say this yet but HUGE CONGRATS!!!!!!!

I still haven''t gone to my HR lady yet to go over maternity leave and all of that. I shouldn''t have the issues that Robbie had though--I have a good relationship with our lady and she just had a baby last year, so I''m sure she''d be able to answer a ton of questions.

Ebree, good luck with the 24 hour urine!

Welcome back China! I have had VERY few emotional breakdowns and don''t consider myself very hormonal at all, but when I''m hungry, it''s a whole different ball game! I snap at dh all the time over food because he just doesn''t realize that when I''m hungry, I need to eat!

Lysser, isn''t seeing the belly move awesome! My kicks have gotten to the point where they are sometimes painful. Good luck with the gd results.

Natalia, I think that sounds like bh to me.

Tao, hope your maternity leave stuff goes as well as you expect! It would be so fun to meet you sometime!

As for bh overall, I''ve been having days where I get TONS and then days where I have none. My dr. said to call if I have more than 4 in an hour, and I think I have been really close to that, but I still haven''t called. At my last appt. after having a day where I had a ton, she did an internal, and I was still closed up tight and long, so I don''t think the bh are doing anything. Do you guys think I should take it more seriously if I have 4 in an hour? They are definitely just bh, no pain, and they are irregular even though they are frequent.

And mini-vent...the grocery store here had NO mint chocolate chip icecream! NONE, in any brand! That has been my bedtime snack every night, and I miss it! It totally helps with the heartburn before bed!

Morning
35.gif

Yesterday was my internal. Um...ouch! I had prepared myself for it to be uncomfortable but not for it to hurt. I''m 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Don''t know baby''s station but she is head down so that''s a plus. I had a pretty bad day at the OB though. First they watned to charge me $450 even though I don''t even have a copay. Turns out the girl swapped the charts...again. Then my bp reading was 186/82
23.gif
. They wanted me to go to L&D immediately but luckily my OB passed by, saw the reading, said something must be wrong, messed with some nobs on the machine, and redid the reading. I was 115/69. She said the machine had air in it. Then I go in to hear the hb and its taking the OB a few seconds to find it and she has a worried look on her face. She was able to find it but those were the longest seconds of my life.

So I went home and took a really long nap, woke up at 2AM (cause that''s what happens when I sleep during the day), and cleaned the living room, kitchen, and bathroom lol

Amber-LOL @ gigantic nips!

Sabine-What a pain re: the ped situation! Hopefully everything can resolve itself. My OB mentioned that if I get more than 4 BH in an hour, to give them a call. I would call your OB just to be on the safe side.

Blushing-Not much to do about the stretch marks but definitely lather up in lotion to keep from itching.

Robbie-It''s crazy to think that your LO can come really at any time!

Ebree-I hope the urine tests show that everything is normal. You''re almost full term though so that''s wonderful!

Pandora-LOL Thanks for the heads up on the shaving too close!!!

Lili-Thank you!

China-Sorry about the emotional breakdown especially on a plane
7.gif

LittleL-Yay for 3rd tri
36.gif

Natalina-Don''t know much about waxing. There are people that experience BH as early as 18 weeks so you''re fine!

Tao, too funny about the Sims character! So, what''s new in Sims 3? I was obsessed with the first game, but never really got into the 2nd one. DH and I had a little family in the 1st one. I believe we had 2 boys and a girl. The boys were Thomas III and Thor, but I can''t for the life of me remember the girl''s name.

Ebree, hope your tests come back normal! I can''t imagine having to be aware enough to pee in a jug during late night pee trips. I''m lucky I end up in the bathroom since I''m practically sleep walking. Yay for being effaced! My doc didn''t mention effacement last week, but I just took it to mean that there was no progress on that front either.

Lili, thanks for the bump compliment!

China, I definitely feel for you on the emotional breakdown! I''ve only had one in public (at the Dr''s office), but I''ve had a ton alone with DH. It''s the worst feeling to know you''re acting crazy and still not be able to do anything about it. Glad to hear your shower went well!

Lysser, yay for being 28.5 weeks!!! I can''t believe you''re waiting so patiently on the GD results! I called the next day the office was open, lol. Never tried peruvian food. what''s it like?

Natalina, our girl names are Lydia, Lillian, Lyla, Jillian, Julia and Leonora (grandmother''s name). All would be paired with the middle name Grace (MIL''s name). Most likely baby would be Lydia Grace, but I really want to see the baby before making a decision. That''s not really what my BH feel like, but I''m sure it''s different for everyone.

BH: Unless you''re full term (or really close, like 36 weeks) I''d DEFINITELY pay attention to your BH. My understanding is that the only real definite difference between BH and real labor contractions are that real ones cause progress, while BH don''t. Obviously, this isn''t something that you''ll be able to tell on your own. Generally, BH will vary in intensity, come infrequently and are more uncomfortable than painful, but just based on these things alone there''s no way to be sure that you''re not having real contractions that are just out of the ordinary (didn''t Blen''s labor not quite follow the normal pattern?). I would DEFINITELY call your Dr. if you''re experiencing more than 4 in an hour. They''ll most likely tell you to drink a ton of water, lie on your left side and count them for an hour. If they don''t stop you''ll probably be sent to L&D for monitoring. If you''re in pre-term labor they can give you medicine to try to stop the contractions and/or steroids to help get the baby''s lungs ready if it looks like you''ll be delivering soon. I definitely wouldn''t take a chance with this.

Fiery, glad to hear everything turned out ok at your appointment! I would''ve been freaking out about the hb.

Am I the only one in the top 4 preggos in waiting not making progress??? Boooo.

Wow. I have so little free time now that Romy is here, and I def cannot shout out to all of you - but I wanted to throw down my 2cents on a few things.

Stretch Marks - Genetic Genetic Genetic. If you''re going to get them, your going to get them. That said, you will be really itchy from dry and stretching skin. IMO, use the most natural ingredients to soothe and protect your skin. I don''t like Palmers because there are too many ''other'' ingredients in there that could cause more symptoms. I suffered a bout of REALLY bad itching - I thought it was PUPPS but thank god it wasn''t. Anyways, I used Oatmeal baths to soothe the itchies, and I used all natural body butters on my skin. I loved my L''occitane Mom and Baby Balm. Just check the list of ingredients...if you can''t prounounce it - leave it
3.gif

China - Is Duke still on your list? I really think Duke is a great name....
Tao - Love Isla. It was on our list too! Great choice. I''m voting GIRL because of the heart rate.

Braxton Hicks vs. real contraction. There is a HUGE difference in the way they feel. You will know you''re in labour when it happens. Trust. Even when I was having really mild contractions, they were like a BH with a dull ache in your back that is not there with a normal BH. That''s how I knew they were "real". A real contraction almost encompasses the whole diameter of your mid-section. It wraps around your abdomen, to your back. Hope that helps put fear aside.

Natalina - I had bikini waxes the whole way through my Pregnancy. It hurt a smidge more, but DEF worth it!!!!!!! I''m so upset now because I can''t wax for a while (and its summer time) because my Cesarean insision is actually in my hair! Its that low - which is good in the long run
2.gif
. I WILL get back into my itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny yellow polka dot bikini
9.gif
.

Good luck Ebree! Hope you''re ok. Great news about the effacement. My body wouldn''t efface or dilate, even with drugs, so you''re in great shape!

Oh, Romy''s up. gotta go!

hi all
35.gif
still pregnant
9.gif
....although there has been lots of movement and sharp pains and the backaches---which started when i was in labor w/ds. i''ve been very emotional and crying over everything for the past 2 days which is so not me....we still can''t agree on a name and its stressing me out...the thought of l&d is scaring me and i can''t sleep because of aches and pains and my mind is running and thinking of tons of nonsense.

blushing bride...nothing you can do about stretch marks no matter how much cream you use
38.gif
.
robbie...hope you don''t have any more trips until the real deal. i noticed movement slow down, but when she moves its a lot stronger.
ebree...hopefully all is well with the swelling...relax with those feet up...yay for effacement!!!
36.gif
you''ll probably deliver before me..lol

shaving is a 2 day process for me...lol....i call it my shower aerobics.
9.gif
i do the bottom of my legs 1 day and the top the next, because by the time i''m done with the bottom i''m out of breath from contorting myself to get a "good
" shave.

hope everyone feels well.....labor dust to those who are close

whoa! hello ladies! i can''t believe how much i have missed... work has been 100% out of control the past 2+ weeks and i''m just getting back around to a "normal" work day.

i apologize for everyone that i have/will miss. i have been trying to read and catch up on everyone... huge congrats to the new preggos!! and to all of the progress for those who are coming up on their due dates! i lurked on this board long before i was PG and everything seems like ''just yesterday when so and so was announcing their BFP'' and now (sniff) all are going to be moms.... :)

i also haven''t decided on a thing for father''s day. we will most likely visit my in-laws for part of the day - but i''m kinda stumped as to what to get DH. i''m def. going to make him a big breakfast (his fav. meal ;) - and i think i might make him a ''free-pass certificate'' to work on his car. he has been so great about doing things around the house that need to get done before baby - including crown molding and built ins in the baby''s room (but, he *is* a carpenter so he kinda has no choice;) anyhoodles he has this classic bronco that he really wanted to get some work done on this summer and with the baby he just hasn''t had any time. my plan was to give him 2 or 3 saturday''s off from ''baby'' and let him grease monkey it up in the garage guilt free ;)

speaking of the baby''s room...... we had our anatomy scan (finally) on friday. everything with the babe is looking perfect... dr. liked the looks of all of its parts, nothing looked like it was forming incorrectly, we got to see the babe yawn (awww how cute), were able to count all of it''s fingers and toes...... and, although we decided not to tell anyone we found out the gender we did.......... :P

as the dr. is looking at the baby in sections (so creepy BTW) ... slowly working his way down the body, he finally gets to the ''junk'' cross section and there on the screen... as black and white as can be he points his cursor to a specific area and says, "can you guess what that is?" - DH grabbed my hand and squeezed sooo tightly and started to tear up... and i calmly said "well dr.x that''s a penis". and a penis it sure was.... the picture he gave us is pretty funny... no mistaken what gender the baby is :P

anyhoodles so i''m secretly (in cyber world only) joining team blue (no one knows IRL.. they all think we didn''t find out)... i can''t believe i''m going to have a boy... i grew up with just my mom and sister, my sister had two girls, my girlfriends have girls and now... a boy!!!

DH likes the name wesley more and more everyday! hooray! but i need to come up with some more options... i still have a sweet spot for carter - albeit a smidge trendy.

i think that''s all the news that''s fit to print with me. aside from the body image issues
14.gif
i still feel like i just look fat and not preggo. i''m up a whopping 15lbs!!!!!! and i have been working out and eating healthy... oh lordy i hope this gain slows down... it does nothing for my self esteem.

chat at you later alligators.

Sabine, head to a Rita's near you. They have mint chocolate "Cream Ice". Delicious. I can't believe the store didn't have any at all--not even a weird brand!

The Sims 3 is a bit weird--I'm not the biggest fan of it just yet. It seems like things move slower than normal. The new things on the game though---building your character you can now select their voice and their pitch. They still speak in their sim language though.

Also, there is a city now so you can travel (walking or taking a taxi) to buy your groceries--you no longer have groceries delivered. You also have to go buy books from the bookstore or rent from the library to stock up your book shelves. You can actually go for a walk and follow your sim on the walk---you can walk over to a neighbors house and ring their doorbell. When you sim is at work, you can select what kind of worker they are---someone who just hangs out with co-workers, works really hard, sucks up to the boss, etc. When you give birth--you can select to have the baby at home or at the hospital (at the hospital you don't see anything just the outside of the building). hmmmmm, I sound nerdy so I'm going to stop now.....

Thank you all for your words of encouragement! It isn't too much longer now, though it feels like it. My legs and feet are so swollen, it hurts to walk, get into a car, get up from a chair, etc., so days feel much longer than they actually are. The 24-hour urine catch was a PITA, but it's almost over (yay!), so this morning we'll be driving the jug back to the hospital lab for the results.

China- I'm so sorry about the food situation on the plane! Hunger + pregnancy hormones is definitely a recipe for a breakdown. I'm glad to hear you had a great shower, though!

LL- Congratulations on entering the third trimester! I'm keeping my fingers crossed your GD test comes back neg.

natalina- Effacement is the shortening/thinning of the cervix. At 100 percent effaced, the cervix is said to be 'paper thin' and ready to go. Dilation follows (well, it's supposed to!).

Sabine- Maybe your area has a bunch of pregnant women buying up all the mint chocolate chip? Either way, I'm sorry they were out. Hopefully they're restocking this morning.

fiery- Yay for progress! Aren't internals the worst? I've had three over the course of two weeks and I both look forward to them (wanting to hear progress!) and dread them. Ugh.

Robbie- My doctor didn't mention effacement (or dilation) at all at the first internal- I had to ask at this one. She said I was making progress, but I had to ask for numbers.

mela- The (mild, real) contractions you describe sound a bit like contractions I was having this Saturday for about four hours. I knew something was up when I felt them both in the front and back simultaneously. We actually almost made a trip to L&D, but decided to go home and see if they stopped if I laid down. They did. I won't lie- I was a little bit disappointed, but mostly relieved!

NYC- You're almost there! I hope the movement and backaches mean something will happen soon. Need help with names, or is it one of those "gotta see her little face before we name her" situations?

vizsla- Yay for team blue!
36.gif
Did you have a feeling it was a boy? Don't worry about weight gain- it can be so sporadic. As long as you're eating well, your body is gaining what it needs to gain for your LO.

RE: Braxton Hicks: I started having these somewhere in the 20 weeks, and the best way I can describe them is a tightening sensation- the uterus feels like it becomes very hard for anywhere from 20 seconds to a minute (or more). Uterine pressure, as if it's being squeezed, is another way to describe them. They aren't uncomfortable for me, but definitely noticeable. I noticed them more after a more active day of walking around or climbing stairs.

Man, can''t believe how fast this thread moves and how many preggos are on this board! It''s a good thing, but I feel like when I joined there weren''t many of us.

Braxton Hicks- Hmmm. Mine feel like what Ebree described. I looked them up last night and a lot of people said they were down low, but mine aren''t, they are more around my belly button. I definitely felt like I had them all day and probably more than 4 in an hour, but they went away as soon as I laid down. I am going to call my dr to be sure and I have an appt tomorrow. It said stress and dehyrdation can bring them on and I was definitely both yesterday. I think I need to slow down a bit, but it''s hard when there is so much going on.

A friend of mine just told me she had her 3rd m/c in a row. This time it was twins and pretty early. Last time it was closer to 12 weeks. My heart just breaks for her, amazing how you keep your hope and optimism up. She does have the most adorable 2 year old daughter, so she knows she can get preggo, but they aren''t sure why she keeps m/c. They keep saying it''s just bad luck. I am so sad this morning.

I feel so blessed to have gotten this far, and to have had a healthy pregnancy. Sometimes it''s easy to get caught up in our aches and pains, but remember what a miracle this all is, and how lucky we all are to be able to experience these aches and pains (and constipation and peeing in a jug and stretch marks and weight gain and on and on
2.gif
). Even though some of us have had it pretty rough (yes I''m thinking of you Pandora and CDT), I just think we should all take a minute to appreciate the chance to do this, and to realize what am amazing thing our bodies are doing. At least I''m trying to today!

LL- Hey there! You sound so good. Hope your GD test went well.

Ebree- Ok, I admit I am laughing a bit at the image of you lugging your full pee jug back to the doctor! Hope all is ok. Can''t believe you and Robbie and Fiery are sooo close!!!!

Fiery- Sorry your dr visit was so annoying, but glad all is well.

Amber, LL- my 2 BFF''s were 3 months ahead of me, and it was just the coolest thing to be able to share it and go through it together. Also, kinda nice for me since I get the benefit of all of their wisdom!!! Though if I''ve learned anything from them, it''s that every pregnancy is totally different and anything can happen.

Tao- Congrats on being a wife!!! Loved your pics, esp the one of you two sitting on a bench and you are holding back your veil- your smile says it all.

Natalina- Yes, it is very weird and alienish when your belly starts moving of it''s own accord!! It''s so cool though, one of my favorite parts.

Sabine- I feel for you. Quite rude of them to be out of your fave ice cream. I think you were entitled to a little emotional breakdown there- maybe then the store clerk would be afraid of running out next time! My ice cream of choice is Baskin Robbin''s peanut butter & chocolate- and that''s the only kind I want.

Mela- Hey there!!!! So nice to see you, hope you''re doing well. We miss you, but we''ll all see you soon on the "other side". Duke is on my list, but not sure about DH''s. We need to go over it again! I''ll keep you posted.

Vizla- Congrats on TEAM BLUE!!! Sneaky girl, slipping it in there like that! Don''t worry, we won''t tell anyone.
3.gif
And I think that is so sweet to give your DH "free time". Great gift!

As for me, all is good except now that the Three Pregga-teers (Robbie, Fiery, Ebree) are getting so close, I am starting to realize all of the things I haven''t done yet. Car seat, nursery, day care, hospital bag, unpacking and furnishing our house, pediatrician, hospital tour, BF class... oh the list goes on and on.

NYC- Labor dust for you!!! Sending you an easy and quick labor. It''s time for an easy labor story around here. Don''t worry, the name will come.

I''m having lower ab pains that feels like a cramp. I know that some pain is normal after an internal but should it feel like a cramp?

I''m having lower ab pains that feels like a cramp. I know that some pain is normal after an internal but should it feel like a cramp?

My BH often feel crampy.

Maybe that''s what it is then. I felt it yesterday too but figured it was from the internal and now I''m feeling it again.

i feel so naive... espically when i read about all of the BH and cramping and pain and uncomfortable babe positions and swelling ... consciously, i''m *reading* it ---- but not *comprehending* that i have all of these things in store for me... it''s totally not registering. instead i think to myself "ugh, poor girl, that stinks" or "ouch, i can''t imagine what that has to feel like".

i''ve got to start imagining!

Hi girls! Sorry, been MIA and I''m so behind!! I would try to catch up but need to get on conference call in 3 minutes!.

So here is my sorry attempt to catch up

Ebree I hope everything comes back normal! You''re almost there!
Fiery Congrats on being "almost" full term...how cute of FI!
China I could picture the plane scene...sad but so funny!! lol
Vis Welcome to team blue!!!!!
36.gif

Ok, I said it was a sad attempt.

As for me, we got the cribs delivered today!!!
36.gif
36.gif
I can''t wait to build them (we wnat to do that soon in case they are damaged).

Yesterday I also got these sets...They were on clearance at target so I couldn''t resist!...I got the 2 crib sets, 2 blankets, 2 pillows, lamp and bear rug (which I think would be cute in the bathroom) for $197 including shipping!.

What do you guys think? I figured I can always returns it if we don''t like it when it getshere...and for that price it was worth trying!

I can still add my orange and lime accents in there...couldn''t I?. i don''t want to make a whole "zoo" theme...so might mix things up with the accesories. So keep or return?? You can be honest, I''m a big girl (indeed
9.gif
)

2008-02-19-dwellstudio.jpg

Wow Mandarine, those look GREAT!! Very cute. Orange, lime, and blue accents would all be great. Just a note--most people these days don't use crib bumpers (suffocation hazard), but you could use them at first and then take them out when the kids got mobile. Are you going to put them in the same crib at first?

Vizla- I was the exact same way as you! Stollers, BH, strep test, all of that went right over my head. Just take it week by week. When you get there, you''ll be ready for it. Plus it just naturally evolves that others that are due around the same time as you start discussing stuff, and you learn. But don''t get overwhelmed!!!! You''ll know it when you need to. Just be excited about your little guy!

Mandarine- I actually bought that cribset but didn''t keep it. It''s really cute and suprisingly soft and good material. I love the elephants and the colors. We ended up going with another Dwell set that we got super cheap, but only cause DH liked it better. I loved this one. And you can totally add the lime and orange accents!!!! Great buy, and a great price!

Ok, well my Pollyanna moment from earlier today is over. I know it''s totally natural, but it''s a wee bit annoying when people ask you how you''re doing and then when you try to tell them, dismiss everything you say like you''re being overly stressful or just tell you what to do (when I already know!). And these are the same people who were NEUROTIC during their own pregnancies. Don''t ask if you don''t want me to tell you. I know it''s just how it goes, but it can be a bit annoying. Just cause you went first doesn''t mean you know everything! Ok tiny rant over. I know they mean well.

Fiery, I found the very early ctx feel a bit crampy, but there was a definite repeat thing going on and each was getting a bit stronger to the point that every six minutes or so I was almost bracing myself for the next one. They started low in the abdomen and then gradually spread round to the back.

It sounds really annoying to say that you will def. know when the ctx are the real deal and not BH, but it''s true. I suppose I had the advantage of my waters breaking so there was no doubt when they started a few hours later.

Ditto on the internal hurting - I was expecting midly uncomfortable like with a pap test. Boy was it a shock, even though the m/w warned me first! I wouldn''t let them do another until I''d got the entonox - and then I didn''t care at all
9.gif

Oh no...my post got eaten!

39.gif

Here I go again, quicker version...

Thanks Peony!
Re the bumpers, they will probably just stay for a few months and then I'll ask their Dr when it's a good time to take them off....

On the sleeping arrangements, I'm not making any grand plans...so will basically play it by ear (trial and error). I will have all the options though....both cribs, a large bassinet where they both can fit (hand me down) and the twins play pen by graco that comes with the two little bassinets. So we will see how they do and what works for them best.
Thanks China! The quality is what had me worried...so that makes me feel better!. I also want to see the colors in person to make sure they will work with what I have in mind. Which set did you end up getting? I think you were betwene the cowboy one and the dinosaurs one?...or was that someone else?

As for accents, etc I was thinking of doing a wall sort of like this behind the cribs....with lighter blues, tans and orange or something..

Mandarine- At least I thought the quality was good- just felt it, but it seemed pretty soft. We did end up going with the cowboys, good memory! Though the dinosaurs were definitely softer, I didn''t like it as much when I saw it in person. Funnily enough though, I seem to be obsessed with all things dinosaur for the little guy at the moment. Keep seeing cute dinosaur stuff everywhere. I am still not 100% sure I love the cowboy pattern, but I do love the colors.

Hi everyone. Well, we had our first ultrasound today and we saw the heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!! I literally wasn''t breathing for a few seconds while she was finding the little one in there, and then we saw it clearly. She said I was measuring right on time (7 weeks today) and the heartbeat was great at 137. Anyway, I''m gonna try to get my hubby to scan the pic and I''ll put it up. Thanks for all the good wishes on a good visit!

China I found a picture on rate my space I think with the cowboy bedding and it was so cute...gotta see if I can find it for you!. I love that bedding too...it's so cute!!

for seeing the heartbeat!

Vizla--
congrats on team blue!

natalina--
my BH did make me feel like I needed to pee when I was 20+ wks.

Viz: Yay for team blue!!! It''s fun having that secret, isn''t it?

Steph: congrats on the HB!! It''s seriously the best sound ever.

Mandarine: Love the nursery furniture! Super cute crib set! I feel so behind, we''re not even really looking at anything until we get the sex. Then we''ll probably sit on it some more.

LL: Howdy lady and your little kicker!

China: that''s so sad about your friend. I hope they get a sticky bean soon. Your shower weekend sounded exhausting!

Ebree: I really hope all turns out well with your peejug. Jug is a funny word, is it not? Still, my fingers are crossed for you!

Fiery: hope the BH are gone and you''re feeling better.

Last night I had the worst heartburn ever. It actually woke me up and I had to get a pillow to prop myself up. It sucked so hard. I''m still waiting for my quad screen results. I am really bad at waiting, I''ve decided.

Amber - The only reason I am doing all this so early is because with twins you just never know...and I want to make sure I get to do all the fun stuff

(in case I get put on bed rest or something)...if that wasn''t the case I wouldn''t really be in much of a hurry!

Steph--congrats on the heartbeat! It''s the best thing ever. I even dragged my sister to an appointment just so she could hear it also.

we are doing a jungle/monkey theme....we already bought it---figured it was gender neutral
