Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Good luck Robbie!!! I hope this is it!

Cara- I''m really, really sorry to hear of your probable loss. I also had an early miscarriage before I became pregnant with the boys. It was really devastating. Please take care of yourself and take time to grieve. Although I''m sure you will have more children, you will never forget this little one.

*hugs*

Sunkist, your bump is so wee and cute!! I love it!!

robbie, sending lots of labor dust your way! Try to get lots of rest and conserve your energey, you''re going to need it soon!

How did I miss the fact that Robbie is going into labor? GOOD LUCK GIRLIE!!

Robbie that sounds like the early pahses of labour when the cervix is effacing! I didn''t really get pain around my back, mostly in the front very very low in the abdomen. Good luck lady! I think it will be within a coupld days!

Just got back from walking around at community day. Contractions are definitely getting more intense and are accompanied by a lot of pressure, but I think they''re spacing out more

We''re going to go visit my coworker who had her baby on Thursday. DH asked if I was sure if it''s a good idea. Uh, DH, we''re going to a hospital, the maternity ward to be exact. Sure, it''s not our hospital, but we''ll be closer to our hospital than we are at home and if something needs to be done immediately, well, we''re already at a freakin maternity ward! LOL.

Sabine, I'm afraid I don't keep up with this thread as much as I'd like, I didn't see until just now that you have PUPPS. I had it too and just wanted to share with you a resource I found helpful: http://www.tcinternet.net/users/kritzerburke/naomi/PUPPP.htm I hope you feel better soon! You look great!

Cara, I'm so sorry...

ETA: RObbie, have fun visiting your friend! I'm sending labor dust your way!

Cara, I''m so sorry.

Robbie, that''s exciting!! I can''t remember if I posted this here or not, but I talked to my midwife several days post partum because what she put down in my records in terms of timing of contractions was just not quite what I remembered! They were something like 3-4 min apart at the end, but I was so far into labor land that some of the breaks felt like they had to be 20 min long. It''s just weird how far off perceptions can be versus reality. DH and I never actually timed anything past the first day of labor or so... but when we were timing, they did keep getting closer together then further apart again. But the emotional stuff I went through was pretty textbook, down to the "Oh my God I can''t do this anymore" during transition. But anyway, I know that you''ll do great and your little guy (put me down for boy if I haven''t voted already) will be here before you know it! Lots of labor dust!

Cara- I''m so very sorry for your loss.

Robbie- I hope this is it for you! Good luck!

Robbie, good luck! I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

Ditto, mine were the same right up until the hour before I got the epidural and then all I remember was contractions that just seemed to hurt everywhere and seemed to last for minutes and minutes. My memory is of sucking so hard on the Entonox that the mouthpiece came apart

and shouting at DH because he started snoring... otherwise I just seemed to be in this really dazed state where you have weird dreams going on and you can hear someone in the distance moaning and then suddenly realise that it''s yourself. Did I ever mention how much I LOVE my anaesthetist?

Found out afterwards that the contractions were very erratic and started running into each other, so I was getting 5 minute long ones - and that was before the pitocin... apparently it is fairly common when the head is stuck in transverse.

Robbie--Very exciting. Sound like things are kicking into gear. I had what you described at the restaurant several times in the week before my birth. I would think i was going into labor at night, only to fall asleep and wake up and they would calm down. But if they are increasing in pressure then it certainly sounds like real labor is starting to happen!!! There are those rare women who walk around not knowing they are in labor, but most absolutely know. When you get to that emotional signpost that points to transition there will be absolutely no doubt in your mind what is happening. So rest up in the early stages. Those Bradely techniques will really come in handy. Just think "big neck of sweater"

Good luck Robbie!

Cara~So very sorry!

Robbie~Good luck!

Robbie''s contractions are 5-5-1, so she''s heading to l/d to get checked out!!!! I can''t believe this might be it for her!!! So exited!

Oh, and she wanted me to remind any of you who are her friends on FACEBOOK to please NOT UPDATE!!! She doesn''t want her family to see until she is ready to tell them.

Jas, did you have a vaginal birth with your twins? What position were they in? About 70% of the twins in my medical group are born vaginally, so I''m hoping that''s a possibility for me. Thanks!

Go Robbie! Good luck!
