Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Lulu - Welcome and Congrats. Lots of sticky dusts to you.

LL - Little Calvin is so adorable. Great smile.

Steph - You look great, mama.

Here''s I am at 26w1d today. I think my belly had a growth spurt b/c it feels and looks bigger.

QT, you look awesome! Seriously, you should be a pregnancy model! Too cute!

Congrats Lovelylulu! That is great news!

Cute bellies ladies!

Here is my crappish (and GIGANTIC) 35w5d belly pic in the office bathroom.

Amber, cute pic! Yea you are full term in a few days!! Congrats!

I am HUGE! Surprisingly, I''m not really uncomfortable, just every now and then when she decides to switch sides and headbutt my bladder.

We just got a rug for her room, and my BIL will come over to help us install the crib and the car seat. Then we have to get some crib sheets.

Re: pacifiers. Is anyone planning on getting them for the baby before they''re born?

wow i have had this 'compose message' box up for literally 3 hours while i was on conference call after call. today is BUSY!!

pg...good luck..!!

viz...booo on no movement!! are you trying all the things 'guaranteed' to make you birth? spicy foods, DTD, trampoline bouncing? hehe. make a really elaborate cake?

i got the call yesterday from the hospital letting me know that i can get the swine flu shot now if i want it. i think i will go next week and get it. i am still kind of paranoid about it but even more paranoid to GET swine flu itself for the reasons you stated ginger. it's very scary and there are sick people everywhere it seems!

welcome lulu..!! big congrats and sending you lots of positive vibes.

lysser, what a cutie, i love when the new moms still come and check in here hehee.

um and whoever asked, yes apparently most rude people go to starbucks to harass pregnant women! lol ginger re: putting a bit label on it that says it's decaf, i bet there is a coffee mug out there that says that just for this very reason!

pottery barn kids dresser comes this morning, i am so excited.

eta super cute belly pics ladies. i agree on the modeling qt...!! steph oooh on the new jeans!! amber, girl you look very cute...i can see how people think that it's almost time (IT IS!!). isn't it crazy that our bodies can change so drastically??? sometimes i am amazed at just the 'depths' our bellies can get to hehee.

Just curious if anyone else on this thread is a vegetarian? I''m 15 weeks, and the doctors have no problem with it. Haven''t had any cravings for meat either

Congratulations Lulu

Does DD know she''s going to be a big sis or is she still too young to understand?

GL PG and labor dust to Viz!

Logan, I am!

Just taking the vites and eating as per usual. Check your prenatals to make sure they''re veggie. Some of them have fish oil and whatnot. Gelatin, too.

LS...congrats!! re: being veggie, i am not but in the first 3-5 months i was NOT interested in meat at all, but i made myself eat chicken just to get more protein. however, i definitely existed on carbs and relatively little protein (beans mostly) for the first 1/2 of the pregnancy, with no issues.

i do kind of wonder if there is correlation to what you eat while preggo to what the kid likes when they come out hehee. not while being a baby but maybe later. i sure do love bread.

steph & Mara
Thanks. I don''t have the face to be a pg model.

Amber
You look lovely. Just a few more weeks.

Pacifier
We didn''t get any pacifiers before Meena was born b/c I didn''t want to introduce one too early. But the nurse gave us a soothie at the hospital when M was crying. She didn''t like it at all and kept pushing it out with her tongue. She didn''t take/want a pacifier until around 7 weeks.

Mara
Glad you will be able to get the H1N1 shot next week. We are getting it for M, but the pedi won''t get the vaccine until November. The IT guy at my work is out for H1N1 since Tuesday. He was working on my comp on Monday and told me that his gf had H1N1 and I should wipe down everything he touched. Lots of hand washing for me.

I''ve read that the amniotic fluid tastes different when the mom eats different food, and the baby can taste the different. So I think it might make a different in their palate.

LS
Congrats and welcome. When did you guys decide to have another kid? I remember your thread about not being sure what to do.

Ditto this. I still don''t really want meat, but I know I need at least some kind of protein. I''m working on it hehe.

The thought of the amniotic fluid tasting like whatever I ate does NOT sound delicious qt! Unless I had a Keva Juice...mmm...

It would explain why when I eat chili it comes back up though lol.

MP
hehe. Maybe our babies are enjoying all the different food we are eating. LOL. My baby had been tasting a lot of spicy foods and chocolate ice cream. hehe.

Went to dr appt today, and dr checked on the baby''s gender. I am up 18.5lbs, and add me to team blue.

YAY QT for team blue? are you excited? i don''t recall what you wanted (if you had specified at all!)...!

mp given that i typically love meat it was quite unusual for me not to want it. poor greg was always dying for a burger and i''d be saying ''ew GROSS''. hahha.

the dresser came and it''s sooo cute but a bit bigger than i remember! we have to move the room around a bit i think, but i snapped this pic after i unrolled the new rug and portia went and climbed on it. at least someone gets to enjoy the room right now!

Congrats QT on having a boy! Are you excited?

I have 9 days until I get to find out our baby''s gender, and I can''t wait. I think I''m having another boy, but everyone in the family is pulling for a girl (except me - I really don''t care as long as it''s healthy - except if it is another boy, and this will be our last child, I guess I''ll never get to use any of the girl names I''ve loved for years ;)

I''m a bit late, but CONGRATS to Natalina and DOUBLE CONGRATS to Mandarine!

Lysser- I told you before, but I am so smitten with Calvin. LOVE that smile!!!! O does a similar face when we wake him up and get him out of the swaddle- he raises his fists like FREEDOM!, arches his back and gives us that crooked no-tooth grin. So cute!

I read this thread as often as I can, but usually at 5 am when I am feeding Oliver and by the time he is finished, I am trying to get back to bed and don''t have time to post. But I am still following you all and your beautiful journeys!

Congrats to so many newly preggos!!! LULU- I am SO happy to see you over here. Sending you major sticky vibes.

Mara- I have the same picture of our nursery pre-O. Our dog thought the rug in his nursery was just the best spot to nap. Now he rarely ventures in there- crying baby scares him off!!!!!

Q- Congrats on Team Blue!

Vizla- Can''t wait to meet your little one! I went 10 days over and was induced and all was fine. It will happen, I promise!

Phoenix- You''re so close! Maybe you are off having your little one???

O is doing great, will try to come back and post a picture. He was sleeping sweetly and just started yelling for no reason. Babies do that, btw. Take care everyone!!!!

Well, I just broke down and ordered a cute nursery bedding set from PBK even though I have a perfectly good one from Andrew that I was going to use. I just couldn''t resist since it matches my monkey prints I got in the mail today so well and it was on sale and I figured it might run out soon. Here it is: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/mm30/index.cfm?pkey=cboys-nursery-bedding|b. Have a great weekend everybody!

Congrats on your boy, Qtiekiki.

Vesper, hope the baby cooperates.

Vegetarian? Nope, but I wasn''t into meat in the beginning, unless it was in a casserole or something. Toast, cereal, etc. were my go to food for the first trimester and the beginning of this trimester.

We have the anatomy scan on Monday, I still have no desire to find out the gender. I thought I might get more curious as we got closer but it''s not happening so we''ll stick to our plan.

More shopping this weekend, we are going to New York in a few weeks and have plans to see a few shows and several nice dinners so I''d better find something to wear.

I''m so jealous that you are going to New York!!! I''ve been going about two times a year for about 3 years now and this year was the first time I didn''t get to go! I was saving for a wedding, and then the baby happened and now it''s too late to go this year for me! What shows are you seeing? I''m seriously so jealous right now!

Qtiekiki - congrats on team blue!

--

so this is random, but i found a new drink i love! after reading about mara and cranberry juice, i decided to give it a go [getting tired of always drinking water]. only i hate juice. so i mixed the cranberry juice with ginger ale. it''s so yummy!!

Amber, I bought pacis in advance and Daisy has refused to ever take one - she just spits it straight out. I was desperate for her to take one when she was screaming for hours on end in the car - I even sat in the back with her putting it back in for over an hour. I''ve now given up and to be honest she hasn''t actually needed one.

The nurse gave James a soothie after he was born, but he never took another paci after we left the hospital. We tried - different kinds too and he just didn''t like them. One less thing to wean him from I guess!

Yeah, I make sure all my vitamins are vegetarian. Shocking what isn''t- the YoBaby DHA isn''t (all sorts of fish stuff for the omegas) and the original Desitin has cod liver oil in it. Gross! I felt really badly but once I read the label of the yogurt, I gave the rest of it away. DH bought it (and isn''t a vegetarian) so his antenna didn''t go up with the mention of DHA.

DD definitely doesn''t understand what''s going on, and I don''t think she''ll be too pleased come April. We didn''t decide to have another kid until we found out I was 7.5 weeks pregnant

We haven''t choosen yet, but my husband is really leaning toward Hamlet, Jude Law is supposed to be amazing. We''ll probably see 2 plays, we are also going to see Bruce Springsteen at Madison Square Gardens, this is Clarence Clemens last tour, the husband is thrilled about this as well. We useually make it to New York once or twice a year and visit Chicago a few times as well, plus a few other trips to wherever seems interesting. This year we''ve traveled less and decided we need to have one last hurrah before we can''t go as far for as long (I have no issue leaving the kiddo overnight with my parents, who would be more than willing to babysit, but that probably won''t happen for the first 6 months or so and we''ll likely stay on the west coast if we do travel). We have some fun dinner reservations and I''m really looking forward to our last trip as a couple without kids.

Mara, Portia looks so cute on the new rug! it must be comfy.

Congrats to Lulu and Logan! Hooray!

Lysser your little Oliver is too cute

Love the smile!

and QT hooray for team blue!! congratulations :D

Bellies looking beauteous ladies! Here's my pic for BPF, I'm 36 weeks tomorrow .

I had a baby shower last night! We got a lot of clothes and a few blankets, towels, a BF cover. Only thing of the registry was a sleep sack, a pack of diapers and wipes. No one likes to shop off registries I guess
33.gif
It was such a fun night though!
