Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Noel, he keeps telling me the kid: needs a Nerf Gun, wants to play cops and robbers, doesn''t like when I jump around, won''t wear certain clothes, and on and on. He''s obsessed with the Nerf guns, and wants one for himself so they can play together, so bizarre comng from the guy who hates games. My other favorite is his list of things we need before she comes: Comet, bleach, duct tape, diapers, a closet. That''s it, nothing more. He cracks me up.

My client cancelled today, I''m actually glad as I slept terribly for the second night in a row and had a rough day with one of the kids at school (lots of aggression on his part). I was glad to come home, put on sweats, and be able to call it a day.

DH came to the IVF clinic ultrasounds at 7wks and 9wks. Came to the NT scan at 12wks. Missed the 18 week surprise anatomy scan when they went to check on my cervix, but came along for the repeat one they did at my high-risk consult at 22.5wks. I had to record the first listening to the heartbeat for him, since he was out of town. He hasn''t come to any other appointments either - seems like a waste of time when I end up spending 2h+ at each, with all the waiting around.

He is getting more obviously involved now that the belly is growing. Kisses it often, tries to listen and see if he can hear anything, will occasionally come feel a kick if she''s being really active. He does speak to her now too. It''s nice to see him so excited about it, when he used to say he didn''t want kids.

I''m looking forward to BPF - hope to see photos from all who have anything showing! It''s so fun to see how different everyone is.
You aren''t the only one! For some reason I am really excited to see everyone!
I think I am also excited because after Thanksgiving I am actaully showing a little bit, eventhough, I think I am just reaching the "looks like she'' s overeating stage". I literally NEVER take my coat off at work. lol.

I''m also secretly hoping that Jcrow will finally show her bump

meresal - have you gained weight but just aren''t showing much?
Ya, I actually gained like 4 lbs in a week, the week before Thanksgiving.

I''m right about 10 lbs now, but you wouldn''t even be able to tell where it is, unless I am in a bathing suit. We''ll other than my ginormous chest, of course. I think that is where my first 2 or 3 lbs went.

Have you put weight on, or are you jsut showing?

hi everyone. i''ve been kind of MIA from this thread.

Congrats to all the new mommies!

I''m just trying to do things to keep busy because i''m still dealing with depression from the whole move and losing my life as I knew it.

I''m crocheting a lot and I''ve started a new blog on old-fashioned living, which keeps me busy.

I''m 34 weeks 5 days and I''m 40% effaced and dilated between 1 and 2. The baby is head down and is at -2 station. The doctor was like, "If he came out now, he''d be fine, but we''d like to keep him in 2 more weeks, so no more sex and no more walking around for exercise or standing for long periods of time."

Yeah buddy, you want to keep him in. Haha. I''m in so much pain/discomfort. I want this baby out. NOW.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I need to take a belly shot. I haven''t taken one in 10 weeks and boy oh boy has there been substantial growth. If we go four more weeks I''m almost terrified to think of how big I''ll be! Yikes! I hope everyone is doing well!

Hi Cello! I''m glad you checked in :) Im glad you found the crocheting and new blog to keep your mind and hands busy! Is any family going to come help you after the baby is born? Hopefully he''ll stay in there as long as possible, though I do wish you as little discomfort as possible :P Take care!

cello - I have no idea what it is you're going through, but I wish you the best of luck and patience over the next 2 weeks. can't wait to see your belly shot.

actually, I wish more ladies would share photos.

today I had to attach the emergency tag on the treadmill to my shirt (it makes the treadmill come to a halt if it gets disconnected) because FI says I'm now more likely to get lightheaded and could trip and fall on the treadmill.
20.gif
but I promised, so now I use the stupid thing.

Hey Cello, it''s nice to hear from you. Glad you are keeping busy. I actually want to learn to crochet, my Mom had done it for many years, and I always assumed she would make a blanket for the baby. As that won''t happen now, I thought I might carry on. Did you take a class, or how did you get started?

I hope you get the perfect balance of keeping the baby in as long as possible, and keeping your pain and discomfort to a minimum.

Cello- It is wonderful to hear from you. I''m glad that you are keeping youself busy for the time being. Sorry to hear that the doc wants the baby to stay in the whole period, but I''m wishing you lots of comfortable dust.

I hope that the time flies by, and who knows, maybe your LO will come a bit early!

Mer, how is your sister doing?

OK, where are the pics?? (Since I''m back at work next week, guess I won''t be first to post then - it''ll have to happen after I get home).
Here''s the 27 week belly. I think it looked bigger yesterday for some reason, but this morning can get sucked in a little better :) . Hanging out is on the right as usual.

So far today she''s been pretty quiet. Finally got a good night''s sleep (only up to the bathroom twice, I think). Must be time for some real breakfast and see if she''ll wake up a little.
Mum will be visiting next week to keep me company while DH is away on business. Hope it goes well - we have different personalities, and often end up with a little conflict. And she''s here for a full 7 days.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

drk - huh? where is it?
3.gif
I am just kidding. I know it must be such a difference for you. in my opinion, you are really lucky to still be so slim at 27 weeks. I hope I''ll be like you, but my "food babies" are already bigger than that. haha... I learned about "food babies" from KimberlyH.

Mer, how is your sister doing?
My sister is doing really well! The tests came back normal, and we found out the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so everyone in the family was relieved and relaxed over the Holiday. It was a very tense time, becuase you just don''t know how it will go.

Her due date is still the 25th, and so she is still projected to be 4-5 days ahead of me, but since she is older (39), I think I remember her mentioning that they might be expecting her to be early. I can remember though.

Thank you for asking! She is also having a boy, so we will be adding two new ones to our family, which is definitely known for girls!

Mer - How great that your two little guys will be so close in age to each other. Should make for some close cousins! It was such a relief to see everything came back looking good from the amnio, though I figured that would be the case since she had no soft markers on the ultrasounds. Still can't believe they didn't offer her the FISH option for faster results though!

Noel - it definitely gets bigger after I eat, so I'm probably cheating by taking these belly pics after I get up in the morning. I was also pretty bloated in the first trimester, so it just seemed like the belly was the same for the first 10 or so weeks after finding out we were pg.

so i said i would post some belly shoot photos from last week. i think they came out GREAT, my friend is a fledgling photographer but she really has a good eye IMO. i always thought i would feel super awkward with something like this (and i kind of did at first) but she is my pal so it made it easier... and she is so matter of fact in general about staging it got easier. some of the shots felt a little risque so i am just posting a few 'for public consumption'. i don't think i could have gone to a studio and done these though haha.

does anyone else feel kind of like exposing their belly skin is like ****??? a few friends think it's just the coolest thing ever but i feel kind of like i am exposing myself (HAHAHA). i am GLAD i did it though because so many people say later you like to look at them, and at least this way i have the memories if i do want them.

i don't have a collaging software on this computer so i am just posting three shrunk down. do these count for my BPF too??? hehe. oh i am 31 weeks here in these photos, just a week ago.

and umm jcrow if i can put these on here, surely you can take a grainy bathroom photo for us?!?!?! c'mon!

i love this one, it''s one of my favorites.

mg belly hand.jpg

last one..! she sent me over 20 finals. she is getting a few of them blown up for my shower this wkd...there is a really cool profile one of my belly but it also shows boob swellage over a short cardigan, and that''s not internet friendly hahaa.

and then i can frame them and hang them in the bathroom...hahaa.

mara mirror color.jpg

Verrrry pretty Mara! Your friend does have a great eye.
I just love maternity shots. Wish i were brave enough to do them myself! (maybe this time around)

Mara, those are GORGEOUS!! I love them!!

Here is mine from today, 19w 2d

"Baby Bump" on the Left, "Sucking-in" on the Right. Though I should mention, my body no longer "sucks in" on it''s own anymore. I used to have it trained.

Dangit... I always do that!

Mer 19w 2d comparison.JPG

oops that last one was a little big, i had a smaller version i meant to upload.

thanks ladies... jas..i don't think i would have gone to a studio or been able to do these with just anyone... i felt kind of weird at first. but with a friend somehow it doesn't seem so bad. she kept saying 'don't smile' and 'look away' and greg was like... 'we are in a ralph lauren ad' HAHAHA. he couldn't NOT smile, it was hilarious. she banished him after a few photos so i was glad we got a few good ones with him as well.

drk and mere...you girls are amazing, seriously. drk esp since you are 5 weeks behind me and you literally look like you just had a pasta meal. that is what my belly looked like BEFORE pregnancy after a food baby. just wow. and the fact that you guys can even still think about sucking anything in...haha.

i want to see steph's growing belly...i still don't believe her either.
and JCROW. QT. Puffy. we've got some holdouts.

and i think i have preggo brain but is sha still around??? or did she give birth??? i can't even remember. oh wait i think she did. along with indy.

Mara- You look gorgeous!
30.gif
Pregnancy really agrees with you.

Meresal- You look tiny! Btw, there is a store in Rice Village that has the UppaBaby Vista if you want to check it out. I think it's Doodles on Rice Blvd. There are 3 or 4 baby stores on Rice, and it's definitely one of them. FWIW, I loved the UppaBaby but we got a BOB for walks instead and we don't need two big strollers.

Did I miss Sha's baby news?????

ETA: DRK, looking good too. You are TINY. What is up with all you skinny-minny baby bump girls????
2.gif

ETA: Mer, I missed that your sis is due at the same time as you. That's awesome, you are going to love having little babies together! Does she live close? Like could you both be at the same hospital at the same time???

drk
You look adorable. Cute little bump.

Mara
Your maternity pics are beautiful. Your friend did a great job.

Meresal
You are still just a little bump at 19 weeks.

I am going to my dr appt, so I will take and post a belly post afterward.

Ohhhh, I am loving these baby bumps.

Mara - you look SO BEAUTIFUL! OMG, those are artistic and just jaw droppingly gorgeous photos. You are the most beautiful preggo woman I have ever seen! Man, I'd love to look like that one day! Your figure is perfect! It's like your hair and skin and everything just grew luminous and radiant.

Mere - your belly bump is also gorgeous, pretty mama! You ladies have killer bods! Lucky ladies!

OK, the Kegel cop is back!

Don't forget to do those kegels!
31.gif

ETA: Oh, I missed Drk's belly bump a couple pages back! YAY! So purdy! Congrats!!!

Happy Friday everyone!! Loving the belly pics!!

drk~still tiny but I can see a bump!!

Mara~your pics turned out great!! Our photographer comes to our house as well...there is no way I''d go get maternity pics taken if she wasn''t going to come (and I''m still on the fence this way!!
9.gif
).

mere~So cute!!

Looking forward to everyone''s pic!!

Here''s mine...29.5 weeks and looking HUGE (maybe it''s my sweater?

Burk, you look great! All I see is boobs and belly, and everything else looks tiny. For some reason I thought you were blonde! Maybe it''s cause Tayva is so blonde. Funny how we do that!

Thanks China!! Most people think Tayva looks nothing like me due to the hair color! DH is sort of dirty blonde so he gets most of the credit!
41.gif
I was very blonde until middle school and DH had very light hair as well growing up so I'm assuming we'll have another blondie!

Yay....BFP.

DrK--
You are still so slim, but I can definitely see the little bulge.

Mer--
Cute belly too.
Glad to hear that your sister got the negative results.
And how cool is that both you and your sister are having little boys so close in age to each other.

Mara--
Oooo....those shots are gorgeous.
I love them all, especially how the belly likes to peek out from under the tank top.
Makes me think of how kids usually like to hide behind parents and poke out their heads to take a sneak peek of something :)
Haha...the photo wh*re in me would say NO...that wouldn't qualify for this week's BFP :P

Burk--
You look great.
Like others said...I see boobs and belly
2.gif

haha...it's the sweater...it does add a little more depth to your back.

Bliss--
LOL....you are so cute.
I think every preggos (I know I did especially w/ my preggo brain) need that constant Kegel reminder.
Hope you are doing well.

Wow, everyone looks so good.

Mara - those photos are amazing. Just classy and artistic, and you look great. I suck it in every now and again just to try to keep a little bit of tone in my transverse muscles. I'm hoping that'll help with getting the figure back after birth. Probably won't, but what the heck. The one with just Greg's hand on the belly is beautiful, and I love the way your rings and necklace show up in the reflection in the mirror one. I wonder if my DH will be up for trying to take any artistic shots when I'm 33-34 weeks along. Or maybe I should have him try earlier before I get stretch marks :) He takes some pretty great photos of bands and when we're on vacation, but hasn't really tried for artsy portrait photos.

Mer - Looking good! I wonder if you're going to keep on carrying small throughout too.

Burk - I don't think you look huge at all. The sweater does emphasize boobs and belly though, but not in a bad way.

QT - looking forward to yours and your dr appt report.

I'm glad Robbie suggested BPF back when she was pg. The photos are so much fun to see.
