JCrow, Mere and others- I wasn''t planning on bringing DH, think it''s way more fun without them b/c then we can chat about the real stuff of pregnancy and mommyhood that I promise you DH''s don''t like! But JCrow if you needed to bring hubby, of course we could do that, I just didn''t want to assume. But let''s do girls only if that is ok with everyone. Jcrow, I have no idea where the outlet mall is!
Let''s wait and see if Ginger chimes in and then I will throw some suggestions out there.
Mer- I did one prenatal yoga class at MC and really enjoyed it. It was way ''harder'' than I thought it was going to be for some reason, but in a good way. It''s definitely softer for pregnancy, but it still pushes you. It was fun meeting other preggos too. I would have done it more often but just ran out of time. Let me know how you like it! They have yoga for moms and babies, I keep meaning to take O, I think it would be hysterical.

It''s not going to be me this weekend. Just went to 39 weeks appt today, and dr. says the baby is still pretty high. I am hoping the baby comes after Sunday, so we don''t have to share a birthday. =P
My guess is Mara first, then Steph, then RPS, and me last. hehe
QT, I don''t think you''ll be last! Happy birthday! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!Date: 1/22/2010 10:53:37 PM

i''m sorry for a bit of a me-centric post (again), but i''m wondering if anyone here has any experience with some of the preterm labor stuff (drk???)...
i had my first official ob appt today, and man was it depressing!! i''ve already gained 1 1/2 lbs, but my ob is very happy about that b/c i''m starting off really tiny, and i only gained a total of 23 lbs last time. but it''s still hard to see the numbers start going up (as you guys know all too well).
anyway, we talked a LOT about preterm labor. i thought there was a slightly higher risk of having it happen again, but apparently it''s a REALLY high risk. and with a subsequent pregnancy, it usually happens earlier. i started having serious contractions at 26 wks and dilated at 28 wks with the first, so i can''t imagine going on bedrest much earlier than that!! my ob wants to be very proactive, which i like, but i don''t like her recommendations all that well!! basically it sounds like starting from mid-2nd trimester, she wants me on pelvic rest...no exercise, and no sex. she wants me to have a plan for what we''ll do with my son in case i have to be admitted to the hospital for awhile (), or if i''m put on strict bedrest at home. and she also brought up progesterone shots. i guess there''s some new data that has come out that starting injections in the 2nd tri can help prevent PTL (or sometimes not the contractions, but at least actual delivery which obviously is the desired end point!). does anyone know anything about this? i know they''re used a lot with IVF in the early weeks, but has anyone (drk??) had them later in the pregnancy? we are going to have a consultation with a high risk perinatologist soon so we can ask all our questions, but just wondering what you guys have heard...
thanks so much!!
i can''t WAIT to see who has their baby next!!!
