Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Thanks for the belly picture, MP! I was waiting for someone to get this party started! Lookin'' good!

Whoops! No idea why it''s sideways lol.

HH and JCrow, I would be HONORED if you wanted to use this spelling of Kathryn. Even though I know it wouldn''t be for MY grandmother, I''d love it if the name was kept active because IMHO, it''s different enough, but still beautiful.

Grandma died a few years before I got pregnant with Kate, and I was really sad that I''d never had a child to name after her. When Kate was coming along, it seemed natural to use Grandma''s name. Grandma was Kathryn Irene, but we decided to go with Grace so it wasn''t a complete copy.

I like that Kathryn can be shortened so many ways -- Kate, Katie, Kay, Kitty, Kathy, although I said NO Kathy because that''s my aunt''s name and I''ve known some crazy Kathys.

I''m big on old-fashioned names, popularity be damned. These names are popular for a reason!

So, I have:

Westley Phillip, who goes by Phil and is the only one named for no one
Hannah Louise, who hates her middle name, but it''s for her paternal grandmother so she''s stuck!
Austin Edward, whose middle name is for his dad and paternal grandfather (they both have the same middle)
Kathryn Grace
William Christopher, whose names are his paternal grandfather''s first name and dad''s middle name
and the new one will be Benjamin Dennis, whose middle name is my dad''s first name.

Here is my contribution: 26w2d

kathryn is my grandmother''s middle name too. we''re most likely going with kathryn as a middle name if it flows nicely with the first name. and like i mentioned before, we''re also considering kathryn as a first name.

Hey preggos! Just jumping in to say that gap.com is have a sale, including maternity stuff. You can get an extra 20% off if you enter "GAPEXTRA20" at checkout. I just glanced, but seems like some decent stuff including nursing bras/tanks.

HH- Love your names!!! Jack Henry is so flipping cute, I wish I''d thought of that. Those were both on our list. I am partial to Katherine Fenn myself, but that''s b/c my mom''s name is Katharine (wth an a) and I''ve always loved it. What would you call her?

Lindsay- Ah, sweet Andrew. Very fitting. Glad amnio went well, and praying for good results for you.

SomethingShiny- I think you also have to be careful of adults who had the vac awhile ago but it''s worn off. Scary stuff. Great names too!

Meresal- LOL that your stomach muscles are "holding on"!!!
9.gif
I have the funniest image of them going "No, you''re not going to push ME off to the side like some discarded trash!" Cute pic!!!!

RPS-

all of your kiddo names. I think Hannah Louise is awesome, she''ll appreciate it when she''s older. And Westley is interesting, never seen it spelled with the "t". I love that, West would be a cute nn.

HOUSTON PREGGOS- So I think I dropped the ball on the GTG after everyone chimed in on availability. Sorry! If you''re still up for it, let me know. I think that the last weekend in January (next weekend) and the first weekend in Feb worked for everyone previously. Assuming we still get GingerB, do we want to try and shoot for one of those? I was thinking keeping it easy and just meeting for lunch or something, unless you guys want to do more than that.

More BPF pics please!!!

hubs and i were just talking about the proposed houston gtg. hub has a work function to attend jan. 30 so i'd only be able to meet up for dinner that day [that's the last weekend in jan.] if everyone is free, that would work for me! any ideas on where to meet up?

also, we'd be available to meet up sunday, jan. 31 too!

Jcrow- I could maybe do dinner on Sat Jan 30th- we have a birthday party to go to from 5-7 pm, so as long as DH will watch O, then that could work if we could do it at 7:30 or 8. I couldn't bring O though (which is fine with me). Totally available Sunday too.

ETA: As to where- what general area do you stay in? We're in West U so anything central works for me. Let's figure out if we are going to do dinner or lunch first and then we can figure out where.

ETA(again): JCrow, are you bringing hubby to dinner/lunch?

Wow Mer you''re already 26 weeks
23.gif
I don''t know where the time goes. You look great!

Great pic MP!

Meresal, cute! You''re starting to really show now

i was thinking it would be just me attending the gtg, unless you all are bringing your hubs. as far as location, we''d be staying with my sil + bil who live out by the premium outlet. not sure which direction that''s in, but i can find out

Houston GTG: I can do Saturday night or Sunday.

Fiery- It''s unbelievable! I feel like the 20''s have flown by.
MP- Thanks! I am definitely showing more. I just went thru my earlier pictures and it is crazy how much my body has changed. lol! You look GREAT in your pic!

FYI- China! I haven''t really been interested in the Prenatal Yoga thing, and I just realized that the MC has Prenatal Fitness classes on Saturday mornings! I''m going tomorrow and I''m so excited! I''m also going to start doing their prenatal yoga one night a week to relax and get a little stretching in. I really think I am going to like that place.

hey preggos! Where are all the belly pics?

Steph~Where are you?!?!?!

rps~Sorry you didn''t feel well last night. Glad you''re feeling better today. I''ve been having some weird "spells" like that as well. I get kind of light headed and just feel "off" for a while. Odd.

meresal~You look terrific. So funny about your abs wanting to hang on!

mp~Great belly! Good luck with the u/ss today. I only got 2 u/s: one at 8 weeks and one at 20 so I get jealous of all you lucky ladies getting more!
16.gif

mtjoya~I''m still working and I''ll be 37 weeks on Sunday. With my first I quit working around 38 weeks. I only work part time now (about 4 hours a day) and since it''s my second I''m quite a bit more relaxed and I want to save my leave for my maternity leave (our leave policy is terrible). I''ll probably keep working until 39 weeks at least and then if baby isn''t here and I''m terribly uncomfortable take time off then...just kind of playing it by ear. Do what you''re comfortable with!

Love all the name talk. One of my good friends found out yesterday they''re having a boy and I really love the name they are going to use: Kyson. I had mentioned it to DH when we were preggo the first time and he shot it down but yesterday said he really liked it and that we should have thought of it!
20.gif
Thank goodness we''re pretty set on Kade.

Had my weekly appt yesterday. I''m measuring 36.5 so right on and he is head down so that''s good. Doc thinks he''ll be big...I reminded him he thought Tayva was big too and she ended up 7lb 11oz! He says he''d bet money that Kade is bigger than that. We shall see.

Belly pic. I couldn't get a good shot of the belly with my sweater in the way so I bunched it up under my arm...not so much a good look!

Cute bellies everyone.

MP - Have fun at your u/s. Hope it''s still a boy. LOL.
meresal - Your bump is so cute.
Burk - Your bump doesn''t look that big either. Must be the long torso.

Steph - Where are you???

Here''s me at 39w1d. Hopefully this will be the last BPF pics.

Burk-Thanks! I am still okay, but I get so sore down there, I have to take breaks here and there. I have an office job so I am not so much on my feet but like to walk around. Everyone makes comments on how and why I am still there. Okay, maybe cuz I wanna spend time with my bebe. I too have a crappy policy at work. LOL...But I feel good. We are side by side my friend, so I am nervous and excited for the both of us. I get pretty freaked that everywhere I go I see Valentine''s Day stuff cuz I know that anytime soon she will be here!

QT~You look great. I just love your belly button!!

Lindsay I am following your pregnancy from afar and wanted to tell you I am hoping for great news from the baby''s blood work next week! And congrats on a boy!!

People always think they''re the authority on anything preggo/baby. So annoying! If you feel okay and your policy isn''t good I would def. stick it out so you can spend the time with your baby! It is crazy to see Valentine''s stuff since that''s my due date. Won''t be long!!!

Nice bellies ladies!

Just have a moment to post mine, then I have to help load a few things up to take over to the new house. Do any of you have gas ovens? There''s one in the new place, and when I turned on the oven, there was a faint gas smell coming from it, but it heated up ok. Not sure if this is normal, or if I should let it run a little longer to see if it wears off, or if we have to get the former owner to make sure it''s in good working order.

Grr. Hate how I can't try to attach with a different filename in the original post when the first one was already taken. Here's the front and profile shots. See how much pinker/redder the skin over my belly is than the rest of me? I thought it was a rash at first, but I think it really is just increased blood flow. Weird!

QT - you're absolutely all belly - so cute!

LOL...yeah. This lady at work thought that I was lying when she asked if I had strech marks on my belly and I said No. She said, "Well, you probably can''t see them, but I bet they are there!" I just laughed. Okay...

DRK~You look great!!

mtjoya~LOL about your co-worker assuring you that you have stretch marks! I think we could all write a very entertaining book of inappropriate things people say to pregnant ladies!
9.gif

LOL...Yeah! You ladies look great! I will post a pic of my strech-marked belly later! LOL

myjoya, those invisible stretch marks are lurking on all of us you know!
2.gif
Wow, that lady is misinformed lol.

LOL...yeah! My friend heard and gave me a WTF look. I told her maybe she also wants to see how dark my nipples got too!
3.gif

Great belly pics ladies! So many of you are getting SO close!

DRK, I love your belly. I can only hope my skin stays so smooth. It looks like you photoshopped your belly button out.

I''m still here and no baby yet! When I had the scare and went to the hospital, my mom decided to go ahead and come down, so we''ve been out and about. Now is just the waiting game. Everyone''s belly pics are SO cute! Here''s my final belly pic...almost 39 weeks. Hope everyone''s having a great day!

Pertussis is Whooping Cough. American's receive a vaccine that is DTP, Diptheria, Tetanus and Pertussis. Unless you know someone who is NOT vaccinating their kids, you should be fine.
according to the doctor, it's not mostly about kids anymore. she said just make sure that adults who come to visit have had their updated tetanus shots INCLUDING the TDAP booster which is specifically for Pertussis.

I know a fair amt of people who don't stay current with things like tetanus which means they won't have had the booster and sometimes you have to ask for it. Also the Dr noted if someone had tetanus shot like 5 or 6 years ago they prob wouldn't have gotten the booster back then as part of it, so they'd still prob need it.

anyway just FYI for anyone interested, just to ask your Dr...I just wish someone had told us this like a month or two ago so we had more time to make sure peeps were up to date. That blog that was posted in FHH about that baby kind of freaked me out and if i don't have to worry about it, great.
