Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Checking in on Tacori...thinking about ya girl!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes on the amnio. Feeling fine now. And the little tap tap I felt last week has turned into full blown tap dancing today morning! I was sitting on the couch with this goofy grin on my face - the baby is very active this morning! I kept laughing and TGuy looked at me funny. I just thought, sucks to be you...you can't bake 'em in the oven. Hehehehe.

Jas, that is awesome time off! I believe I will have 18 weeks, with the first 12 being somewhat paid for. 4.5 months is a lot here, so I am hoping I can take it. And as for the gym gal...wow! I have been doing pilates, but I need to walk more.

In other good news, TGuy got a fantastic job offer on Friday. I couldn't have scripted it better myself. I'm a big believer in things happen for a reason so I never doubted something better would come along. The job is close to home with a world-known company and the pay is a HUGE jump from what he was getting before. He starts next week. As an added bonus, he had to change his flight to Australia since he was planning to take a month off before all this happened. He decided to work with his new employer and only take two weeks off...even though I told him I didn't mind if he didn't budge and lose the opportunity since he hasn't been home in 2.5 years and family is important. Anyway, so $1300 in airline change fees later, he is flying to Australia with me (I was only taking 2 weeks off and was going to join him mid-Dec). This is really nice for me because I was nervous about flying pregnant by myself since I thought I might need help with luggage and what not. I feel bad his vacation is cut short, but all's well that ends well!

I'm wondering the same thing ella, of course the last time tacori didn't check in i thought the same thing and she was just busy. so maybe she's getting that pedicure or maybe she's meeting her new baby....woohoo...

re: working out. I worked out during both pregnancy's and did have quick recovery's, however, I did nothing for 2 weeks after giving birth and then it was just walking the dog and baby in the stoller. my dr. doesn't ok normal workout routines until after the 6 week post delivery check-up and i didn't want to do anything to delay it further so i obeyed his advice both times. But, i went back to teaching spinning right after that without any problems. I think 9 days is too soon and would advise against it. but it's one of those things that is individual and b/t each woman and their dr. the nursery's here won't even allow a newborn to come in until they are 6 weeks old. I hope she's not putting a 9 day old baby in the nursery....

Thinking of you Tacori! Hope today is the day!

TGal, glad you're feeling fine. Great news about your husband's job offer! Congrats to him! I'm glad things worked out!

I've started my 2 week waiting period...I hope it doesn't go by too slowly...

TGal glad you are feeling well after the amnio. Congrats to TGuy, that''s great news!!!

Tacori, good luck, maybe today is the day!!!

Hey ladies. Still preggo....my mom and I walked the mall (tried to walk the baby out so to speak). Of course it didn''t work.
8.gif
My doctor''s appointment is tomorrow afternoon so no matter what I will know more then. We are going to go on another walk around the neighborhood later so *maybe* that will inspire the baby to make its appearance....

Hope all the mommies and mommies to be are doing well!

Awwwe...sorry to see you still around Tacori. Thought that you'd be in L&D for sure.
Guess your womb is just so comfy that baby T decides to stay just a little longer and feel safe and protected.
1.gif

At least now your mom definitely will get to hear the heartbeat tomorrow, unless of course you go tonight
2.gif

Hang in there.

Thanks for the congrats all!

Tacori, glad you checked in. I''ll do the birthing dance for ya...although I think my baby is doing that in my belly right now. So you have two people over here in socal bopping around for your baby to join us in this nutty world!!!

Thanks lili and Tgal. I am surprised I am not too upset about it. I figure it will happen soon (it has too right???) but do the baby dance just in case it works! Tgal congrats on your hubby''s job AND feeling the baby. Enjoy every kick. They still make me smile (unless they are painful).

Thanks Tacori. I try not to smile too much in public when I feel them. I think I look a bit mental smiling for no apparent reason...hehehe.

And yes, it will happen soon!

snlee, also wanted to say I hope that 2 week waiting period goes by fast!

Tacori, in a way I think it''s pretty special that your Mom gets to be with you during these last few days of your pregnancy

Good luck at your appt. tomorrow and keep us posted if you get a date set (like I need to tell you to keep us posted!)!

TGal, that''s fantastic about DH''s job. And I feel better for you that you guys will be travelling together (what can I say, I''m a nervous nelly)! One thing I can say though is that I''m sure people on the plane or at the airport would help you if you were obviously pregnant. That''s one of my favorite things about being preggo actually -- people are just nicer to you! I mean, yes, there are still lots of idiots out there, but for the most part, people like to talk to you about your baby/babies and like helping you out. That''s been my experience at least.

Is the baby kicking hard enough that TGuy can feel it from the outside yet? I didn''t feel my kicks till pretty late but hubby was able to feel them on the outside pretty soon after I started feeling them. And a few weeks after that was when my belly started visibly jumping! I still laugh at the babies moving around in there -- it''s the best feeling! I''ve been singing goofy songs to them at night (like the "Ooh baby baby" part of "Push It" by Salt and Pepa -- but I sing, "ooh, baby, babies" -- and "hit me [babies] one more time") and I swear it makes them move more. Not sure if that means they like my singing or hate it? But either way, I think it''s a good time!

Oh, and YAY RED SOX!!! Whoo hoooooo!!!!!

Hahaha...that is so totally funny. I''m just laughing over here. Now that I am feeling the movement, I find myself saying goofier things too.

I haven''t tried to feel it from the outside. I doubt I could feel it but I will have to sit still later and see if it does anything. I thought they couldn''t feel it from the outside until way later?

TGal, it took longer for other people to feel the movements. Now you see them. I love the belly waves.

Ella, of course I will keep you updated!! I feel badly I didn''t sign on earlier today. I think part of the reason I am so relaxed is because my mom is here. Now don''t get me wrong, if the doc says I have to wait until next week tomorrow I WILL be upset! But I can wait a couple more days...My goal is to have it by the weekend (I''ll be 41 weeks Sunday so I don''t think that is asking for an induction too soon
12.gif
)

So everyone who sees me know (strangers, friends, etc...) think it is a boy. I am SOOOO confused! One lady said my face was too pretty to be having a girl. Thought that was sweet...

Tacori,

You always wanted a Hallowe'en baby didn't you? It will soon be th 30th.... You don't have to wait until the actual 31st you know. Feel free to let your child have a birthday on a day other than a holiday! Here's looking at you, kid!

Actually I think 11/1 would be a cool birthday if I did have a choice

At this point don''t worry. I am not TRYING to stop anything! Haha! I''ll take it anyday.

hehe, that''s my b-day. my mom was so freaked out b/c she hates halloween and did not want me to be born on that day. I arrived at 1:54am on nov. 1 and she was very thankful.

Hopefully, with your mom around you all will be able to convince your dr. to induce if you don''t go in labor by tomorrow. He was originally open to the idea so maybe he''ll reconsider..

TG, that''s great about your husband''s job!

Tacori, I''m joining in on the birthing dance for you. I think you''re having a girl, but that''s probably entirely because of what others have been saving in this thread.

Tacori!

Good luck good luck good luck!

If the baby dance doesn''t work - try some spicy food! (hopefully without the heartburn)

I hope to log on next time to some good news!

Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, babies (and pets!) bring out the dork in us, don''t they? I won''t even tell you the songs that we sing to our cat ...

For some reason, it wasn''t too long after I felt movement that hubby was able to feel them from the outside. I think it''s cause I didn''t feel the kicks myself for a while (22 weeks) so by the time I felt them, they were already strong enough for others to feel them too? Or maybe because there are two in there so there was twice the chance for him to feel things! But I think that for the most part, yes, it takes a while longer for the non-momma to feel the movement.

Tacori, too pretty to have a girl? What does that mean? Do you get ugly when you''re having a girl?? Ha ha! People say the strangest things! I''m sure you''re too pretty to have a boy, too, but you''re having one or the other regardless
9.gif

MrsS, it IS a cool birthday. All those ones....haha. I honestly don''t really care. Just ready to NOT being preggo anymore.

Blen, thanks. I''ll let you all know.

Mela, actually I had spicy indian food last night for dinner. Of course it didn''t work!
15.gif
Oh well, tasted good.

Now I am supposed to look in the mirror to assess my ugliness if I want to guess the sex?

Well, in that case, in the mornings I am definitely having a girl and in the evenings it depends on how mad TGuy makes me.
41.gif

Thanks TGal!

It must by so exciting to feel your baby move! I can''t wait to experience that. ella, that''s so funny about you singing goofy songs to your babies to make them move!

Tacori, enjoy those last couple of days without a baby. As I''m another November baby, I think 11/1 would be very cool!

Ella-- that is too cute about you singing to your babies. Your babies are lucky. Mine, he/she will probably just enjoy a tummy rub or head scratch. I''m not much of a conversationalist, let alone singing
41.gif

TGal-- that''s great about TGuy''s work and vacation. I''m sure he''s just as relieved about going to Aussy w/ you instead of letting you travel by yourself at that stage.

Snlee-- lots and lots of baby dust to you. One word of advice. Keep yourself busy for the next two weeks and don''t think about your AF or lack of. The wait can be excruciating.

Sure. I don''t mind though I think it is pretty informal and a lot of people just update it themselves. Doesn''t really matter. It is just nice to have a list and based on the TTC thread there will be a lot of additions soon.

Whoo hoo, a sticky! Thanks Andrey!

Ella, I''ll have you know it''s your fault that I am totally wondering if I can feel the taps from the outside...so I am sitting here with my hand inside my pants on my lower abdomen waiting for movement. I look like bloody Al Bundy, thanks a lot!!
