Can someone PLEASE help me check out this diamond...

While the patterning looks fine, this diamond looks cloudy and dull to me.

Good observation! I guess it's the "clouds not shown" impacting it. I was hoping it was poor lighting, lol. Not very many options at this price point per carat.:confused2:

I guess that explains the price. There really are no bargains in the diamond world, except for preowned possibly.

Exactly. There just arent (very very few exceptions). OP needs to compromise on color, size, or budget, unfortunately

Agree! Or take a risk with strong fluorescence and hope for no haziness and a good return policy. With so much stigma around it, she can get a discount there. If OP for some reason sells down the track though, she will take a hit on price.

So yes, no perfect solution, the OP will have to decide which aspect is the most acceptable compromise to bridge that gap.

This one looks like the most affordable.. with the best qualities.. can you let me know if the cut on this one is good? I tried to use the HCA tool... but I didnt know I only had 3 free ones :(

Thanks everyone for your help!! I really appreciated

Go to the Pricescope search engine and select your parameters for color, clarity, etc., then make sure you have HCA score range set to EX-EX. You will only get stones that score well. You will see Blue Nile stones there under “Virtual Stones”. The one you just posted is deep and the crown is steep. It would work better with a shallower pavillion angle.

Oops, I gave the wrong links for the second and third. Here are the right ones.

I like the third one the best. I like the 56% table, the 75% lower girdle facets, and the depth. I like the appearance of a small table, and the shorter lower girdle facets make the outer facets chunky rather than splintery.

The other ones I recommended are also acceptable.

:kiss2: +1
It's a nice one!

I love the specs on this one, but it appears to have some wonkiness in the pavilion. Still might be worth seeing in person.

Hmm. I don’t know what you’re referring to here.

on the side note... james allen will take my old ring for a trade of 4500 - 5000. while blue nile is offering 6000 as upgrade... so if there is a better ring at james allen for cheaper the price.. im totally ok with moving outside blue nile

Ok, I’ll go look there.

It’s hard to shop there, because the certificates aren’t available without asking for them. I’m not actually wowed by any of the available stones over 1.7cts and under $20,000 there.

Here are a few AGS Triple Zero from JA to consider (corresponding grading report link under each diamond link).

Appears to be a gorgeous and bright diamond:

Doesn't have as much "pop" as the 2.05ct:

This one may be cloudy/wispy:

Also found this GIA 3X with beautiful proportions:

I was looking at the areas between the arrows.

I absolutely love this one!

Here are a couple I found:

I was trying to keep it above 1.7 and only down to H, since you seemed to want F. I don’t agree that all of the diamonds suggested by others are good choices, but I’ve given you some suggestions and am going to bow out now. Good luck in your search.
