Hi there everyone.

This is my first post here but I''ve been on here learning for months now. I think I have decided on a sapphire and diamond wedding set but I just can''t find the right one. I''m looking for the band to be alternating sapphires and diamonds, sharring prongs, all round. I haven''t decided on whether I want the rocks to go all the way around the band yet or not...it kind of depends on the engagement ring. My price range is relatively tight as I am in grad school right now. As far as the engagement ring, I could go either a three stone set-up or solitare but I would like the same type of pattern on the band part of the ring as the wedding band...alternating diamond/sapphire, sharring prongs, all round. If anyone has any pictures, that would be great but I have used the search button quite a bit and probably seen most of them on this website ;-) although feel free, you have to love eye candy!

I''m really looking for links to rings I just described for rings for sale. Oh, I would also like the ring to bet set in either white gold or platnium keeping in mind that budget is a concern.

Thanks for all your help already and thanks in advance for the replies to come!

For the wedding band, are you talking about something like this eternity band?

If so, check out www.signedpieces.com. They have a bunch of eye candy with prices in WG and PT. You can also call or email them if you have a specific request that you don''t see on their website.

Hope this helps a bit.

WOW, that is exactly what I''m talking about for the band and that is BEAUTIFUL!!

Now, if I can find a matching engagement ring for a reasonable price, all is set.

Can anyone help out?

And thanks by the way!

Hi, Spuncorpceo...welcome!

If you've done a lot of searching, you've probably already heard of www.signedpieces.com . I've never dealt with them but I've heard a lot of good things about them.

They specialize in colored gemstone bands, and could probably put together anything you want. I've heard their prices are quite competitive. I don't know if they would source a sapphire centerstone for you...you might prefer the adventure of finding one yourself and having them set it..

Why not give them a call and see what they could do for you within your budget?

Here's a pic of one of their bands...

Good luck!

Great minds think alike!

Rascal I like that one you posted better than the SP one, where did you find that link?

Are you looking for something similar to this? http://www.ezcreationsltd.com/codisaweri14.html This looks like it could be one ring though, I''m not sure and it''s not an eternity ring as the stones don''t go all the way around the band. Still, it sounded like what you were describing.

Pearcrazy, that is very much like what I am looking for. I''m going to try and attach the picture so everyone doesn''t have to click the link. I would like it to be a little more...ornate...than that though. The band posted above is just gorgeous. I would like that band with a matching engagement ring with a diamond center stone. Does anyone know if there exists such an engagement ring?

Call Issac and ask him if he can remove on of the stones and have a head put in its place. I bet the answer is yes. Good Luck!

Ebree, those two rings are quite nice as well! Thanks for the input. They are a little simpler than what I was thinking but then again, who can turn down a beautiful assher

Calling Isaac is not a bad idea either. I hadn''t thought of a custom ring route.

You guys are great. Thanks for all the input, I truly appreciate it. Any more comments are welcome but I think I have most of my questions answered...if you want to throw up any other pics or suggestions, feel free!

Here is my wedding set. It''s not a very good picture, but you''ll get the idea. The wedding band is an eternity band with alternating sapphires and diamonds. It is curved to fit my e-ring, but it is straight in the back so I can wear it by itself. The e-ring is a radiant shaped diamond with pear shaped sapphire side stones.

Very nice rings and thanks for the pic!

Here is one last quick question...can anyone photoshop the image attached and remove the top diamond and instead replace it with a head, say a diamond around .50 carats or so?

I would love to see the photoshop with the eternity ring attached next to the same ring photoshopped with a center stone added. That is what I'm looking to buy. If nobody replies to this, I may make a new thread in a day or two.

Thanks in advance.

Also, here is a link to the ring with many more pics than just the one attached if another pic would be easier to photoshop...http://www.signedpieces.com/item.cfm?item_id=2005

This isnt the best, but gives you an idea.

Is it just me or does the stone kinda get lost in that depiction? That looks way busy or something ...

ETA: Have you seen the Kirk Kara sapphire/diamond set
http://www.kirkkara.com/ ... couldn't find a good picture to post, but someone else on here was considering it ... I'll look for the pix on pricescope.

Firegoddess posted this to a thread about sapphire & diamond sets

And here''s the matching band

Very nice njc. I think that set would look wonderful. Please let us know what Issac says. You mentioned cost before perhaps you could go 1/2 or 3/4 eternity.

Thanks so much for the photoshop and the new wedding set posted by decodelighted is beautiful too!!

I have e-mail Isaac about the band talked about before and I asked him about going 1/3 eternity ring but upping the size of the stones. In all, there would be 9 stones and then I would want to get two bands made, one with a larger, diamond center stone in it. We will see what he says.

Feel free to keep the suggestions coming. I love this thread!! What great eye candy!

Isaac is great to work with and always goes the extra distance. Let us know how you make out, ok?? He made me a gorgeous eterntity band that I am thrilled with. Good luck.

I will definitely let you all know what Isaac says.

In the mean time, I used Microsoft Paint to make the following (I know it''s bad but it gets the idea across). Can someone photoshop a half carat diamond into the band where the center most small diamond is located now AND then put it next to the band currently attached so that I can see it as a wedding set?

That would be AWESOME!

Let me know and thanks again!

Tony

Alright, I very well may be going crazy but I just found something on Ebay that I like better. The rocks in the picture are fake but I''m not buying this ring, I''m just using it as an example. I think that this may be my new favorite engagement ring choice. I am a HUGE fan of that three stone look!! Tell me what you think and tell me if you think the band I made above would look nice with the ring attached below (obviously as long as the colors, cuts, etc. of all the stones were the same).

Thanks again!

And just for fun, a 7 stone version of the band (once again, bad Microsoft Paint rendition)

This is not probably what you want to hear, but ya asked ...

To my eyes, it would be a bit of a jumbled combination. Five different sized stones (center, sides, channel ones, shared prong band ones), three different types of settings (prong, channel, shared prong). That combined with the two different, very contrasting colors & the fact that the bands wouldn''t be the same width probably, coming from different places ... doesn''t work for me.

No, that''s exactly what I wanted to hear. I need a trained eye!

Alright, well I think I like the engagement ring that I posted last better than my previous idea. Any ideas on a good wedding band that would go nicely?

Since the sides of the band are channel set diamonds I would go with a band with channel set diamonds. But then I am a matchy matchy kind of girl.

I do not know what your budget it but you could do something like this if you are fond of the three stone look and want to mix diamonds and sapphires. What does she prefer more a solitaire look or a three stone?

Or this one reminds me of the Ritani Endless Love three stone.
