48 this afternoon, now down to 16 and it''s a blizzard outside. About two hours ago it was pouring rain. Then the temp. dropped and now it''s snowing and blowing like mad. Blech, I hate weird weather systems like this!

Yesterday all of our snow melted and EVERYONE was washing their cars. We started today out at an overcast 50 degrees around 9am, by noon it was 25 and we had freezing drizzle, and by 5pm it was -12 with windchill, extreme winds, blowing snow, and everything around here is canceled for the evening. WEIRD STUFF!!

Stupid weather. It was 40 and sunny when I got up this morning. Now its 10 and minus 10 windchills. All of the melting snow froze on the road and I ended up in the ditch coming home from work.

I wasn''t even going fast darn it all! But I kicked her into 4-wheel drive and managed to get myself out. (pride still relatively intact)

OK, I feel like a wuss complaining about the cold weather here in L.A., but... it''s COLD! Y''all are sending us icy air! (I won''t tell you the current temp because then I''ll really look like a wuss... but I''m ccccoooolllllddddd).

I just went out in a BLIZZARD to get a contract signed. Never went over 15 mph the whole way to the client''s house and back. And damn cold too. Why do I live here?!?

LOL -- perhaps a medal of *craziness*! Anything to get the deal done...

It was 50 at noon, and dropped off to 10 right after sunset. We''ve had a blizzard most of the day. The snow started coming pretty good around 3pm.

It''s actually so windy that my 2 year old is STILL not asleep. And, it''s 11:12 pm as I sit here. I''ve been trying to put him to bed since 8. He''s usually a great sleeper, but it''s so windy and noisy that he''s a bit upset. I just laid him back down after having some milk and cookies. We listened to the windows shake and watched all the snow blowing outside. Maybe he''ll finally sleep...

Just can't give up the holidays?

Finally got the avatar changed just to apease us, but your just trying to sneak a little extra christmas in here, aren't-cha!
31.gif

If "milk and cookies" means Christmas to you, you have my sympathy.

"milk and cookies" around here just means Wednesday....or Thursday morning, Tuesday afternoon, you get the point.

ETA- and just so you know, when no one knows who I am because my avatar's changed, it's partially YOUR fault.

Isn''t there supposed to be a decent size storm moving east from California?

It was awesome to wake up today to a 2 hour snow delay and about 1/4 inch of snow that had already melted or turned into ice.
20.gif

Still cold as a bear''s a$$ though. (As my dad would say...)

Sorry, just giving you a hard time.
2.gif
Dont blame me for the avatar!
6.gif
I didnt even notice that! I liked it. Your new one is cute too though.

And now, I'm sitting here wishing I had some cookies lying around the house.

well, back up AGAIN because of the blizzard. Trying desperately to stay out of the cookies....not doing a very good job...

Joflier~ I apologize, you weren''t one of the admonishers.......

Interesting weather .... I did not track the temp changes; but yesturday started with sleet, then rain, then sleet, then hail, then rain, then snow, then blizzard, then cold. I got to drive to and from work twice in that yesturday and last night.

This Am it''s a charming -12 F (temperature, not wind chill).

Anyway, off to work now...

Do enjoy your day.

Well, it sounds like the cold front is affecting a lot of you! Weather really is amazing. My son is loving all this crazy stuff, he wants to be a meteorologist. He's already alerted me to the 6 inches of snow they're predicting by Friday noon.

Sharon, I really DO feel for ya. Here, have some hot coffee......Well hell, I can't find that silly coffeee cup emotie. Forget it, have one of these, same thing.

I''m in northern Indiana and we had the same thing...it was 50 degrees and pouring rain at 7:30pm last night. I went down to work on the computer for about an hour and came back up about 8:30 and it was snowing. Crazy. All the schools in my area are closed due to the cold...-30 windchills. Makes no sense to me for my son''s private school because all those kids are dropped off within 15 feet of the door...it''s not like they are out standing at bus stops. I still have to come to work and on no school days I have to drive my son to my parent''s house 25 miles away on country roads...school is only 5 miles away on nicely salted/sanded city streets. Grr.

Yeah, that doesn''t make sense. Usually they only close for snow.

Dang, how long did that take you to drive there and back?
