Do you WORDLE?

Haha! Had three rows, with three letters in the correct place. But it's a head-scratcher to me. DH walks in, looks at it, suggests a word, and BOOM!, it's correct! LOL!
 
Wordle woes. Took me 5 tries today. Too many choices. Wah!
 
After yesterday's debacle, I changed my trusty start word. Didn't really help :lol-2:

That was a quick and easy three tries for me today, can't complain. :mrgreen2:

DH and I started playing a few weeks ago (thank you @VRBeauty !). We're now further hooked on Scrabble because Wordle has rekindled my interest in word games hehe. Any fellow Scrabble enthusiasts here?

ETA: Tried a different way to upload. Sorry if the image is HUGE.

ETA #2: I believe today’s solve would qualify as a combo of deduction and the WAG approach.

I love Scrabble, although my play has always been a little pedestrian. Hubby really isn’t into word games though, so it’s been quite a while since I’ve played.

I also played a lot of Boggle back in the day - several friends and I could play Boggle (and big boggle) for hours. Two of those friends are long (and early) departed so it’s been a long time since I played those as well, but I still have a set of each stashed away in the things I saved from my parents’ house. Hope springs eternal, I guess!

“Early,” hmm… that might be a good first word….

Ah, I'm very sorry to hear about your friends. That does sound like wonderful memories, hope your Boggle sets will get used again one of these days.

I'm not familiar with Boggle, I'll definitely check that out now.

I'm absolutely loving Scrabble now. And would you believe it - until a few weeks ago, I had never tried it? I wouldn't go into it, but long story short is that my parents unfortunately weren't fans of any "games" or board games, so I had missed out on a lot of these growing up.

Somehow seeing Wordle's popularity reminded me of all these other word games that were quite a mystery to me, and Scrabble came to my mind. I asked DH if he ever played it, and the next day he came home with a new Scrabble set!

Here's one of our recent games. I did win this one if I remember correctly, although I'm still terrible at coming up with longer words.

Oh I've been out of town and wordle distracted. Wed/Thur were 5/6 for me. DH accidentally spoiled Friday's word for me. I forgot to play yesterday and got a 6/6 in the archive this morning:wall:

I think I've only ever gotten it in two tries once - from "steak" to "shake" the other day. Oh when is that going to happen again :eh:
 
I missed it for the first time, and it was an easy one. I shouldn‘t have played when I was tired.
 
OK first time I am looking at this game.
LOL I can see why it is addictive and I probably should have stayed away!
