Yeah, the vibe of the words definitely changed when the NYT started picking them. The only reason I still do them most days is because all of your posts in this thread keep me curious. I can't recall one upbeat word since they took over, seems like they all come from news articles.
Thank you so much for alerting me to another option @rainydaze! I tried it yesterday for the first time and enjoyed it immensely.
eta- Plus I like that it takes a bit longer to keep choosing the next word to try!
I totally lost my access to Wordle after installing the latest version of iOS! No matter how I entered the NYT Wordle address, I’d get a blank page, even after restarting my phone twice! I made do with devang’s Wordle archive (https://www.devangthakkar.com/wordle_archive/?257) for awhile, but that just isn’t the same thing, ya know? Fortunately, my sweetie suggested clearing my browser history, which did the trick! It also deleted my Wordle stats, but that’s a small price to pay. Other than that, everything seems to be functioning like the original version.
(Clearing my history also deleted my previous Wordle archive plays, including the time I guessed a word on my first try! )
Great job @lulu_ma !
Seems I'm getting worse at Quordle.
The first two days were something like 3/5/6/8.
The past two days have been the "phew" variety of 6/7/8/9.
And @rainydaze, I am totally with you in the Quordle-void!
Have you tried hello wordl? It's what I do when I need a fix. By the time I'm done with the ten or 11 letter word I'm definitely done for the day.
I usually start with a vowel heavy word. A start word popped in my head this morning with less vowels. If I had used it, I would have probably gotten two
My first 2 since switching to the NYT wordle last week.
I was so confused for awhile, I didn’t realize they were different words for the original vs NYT. Now I seem to be in the same page as most again
