Thank you @missy ! Yes that was one bright spot yesterday, thank goodness Wordle went smoothly (and sweetly haha) or it would have only added to my general anxiety...

I did technically get through to Fedex yesterday by way of getting hold of customer service on the phone (I don't think the online chat was manned at all, since they kept me at no. 3 in the queue for 3 hours before disconnecting). However I'm still not getting anywhere as the rep just said my case was probably getting processed and couldn't give any timeline or redirect me to anyone in the relevant department.

I've been trying to dispute a customs charges invoice from them - the charges were erroneous, as it was an Amazon.com purchase and my local EU VAT had already been collected by Amazon under the new EU International-One-Stop-Shop (IOSS) scheme, and the package should have cleared customs in a flash without any additional fees or charges.

I wrote to them to dispute it under their standard procedure two weeks ago after receiving the invoice, no word from them since then, but a reminder this week that they'll be taking legal actions.

The whole Fedex customer service system in Ireland seems to have gone dead. I used to think UPS was frustrating (they made the same mistake recently about a similar package, but was able to correct it and withdraw the charges in two days while talking to me on the phone), but this is another level.

And can you believe that FedEX is an official word in the Collins Scrabble word list? I was really surprised to find that out and I can't say I like it...

Hopefully Fedex is better in the US for you folks, though. Why is it so difficult to buy anything from the outside in Ireland?

And if there is one lesson I learn over and over it's give something new a try before thinking I won't like it. I wrote this off before even knowing what it was about because I thought I don't like word games. So glad I decided to see what it was all about and thanks to @VRBeauty for starting this thread.

2nd try today. Got lucky on first guess with 3 correct letters in the correct position. Usually the more letters I get correct on the first or 2nd try, the longer it takes me to finish. Go figure. My brain works in opposition to rational thought.

I guess I got interrupted (or more likely, distracted) when I was posting my results yesterday! It took me five tries, but it was my first error-free game in a few days. Phew - I was beginning to think I was losing it - LOL!



Got it in three today thanks to a lucky choice of starting words.
