Is that dress really that low cut? Huh, us "less endowed" ladies don''t notice that sort of thing as much I guess

but I am sure you will find a way to make it look great!!

OH, just noticed another similar and very pretty Watters dress -- the 8041b.

Selkie, are you seeing the dress this week?? I can''t wait for the update (and hopefully photos!)!

I love that other Watters dress you posted, except that it''s strapless. I NEVER thought I''d be a lace girl, but there you go...

I have an appointment this Thursday at the store in Nashua. Can''t wait! Except that my mother is coming with me, and she''ll probably give me a hard time about it. I actually bought a dress off eBay just after getting engaged, and while it fits and is nice, I don''t love it. I told her about it though, and now she thinks I''m nuts for wanting to spend more money.

The sample they have is too small for me to try on, but I''ll try to get pics of it anyway.

I also get to meet Aljdewey on Thurs., she''s going to show me some of her wedding pics (she had her reception on the schooner).

Oh good luck!! :)

I love that Watters dress too ... I actually like it better than *my* dress I think, but oh well.

Selkie- I don''t know how your trip to Nashua went, but I saw your Jaqueline gown on preownedweddingdresses.com in an 8 for $700. There are also a few authentic Monique L''hulliers in similar sizes... just thought I''d pass it on!

Ooooh, I love that Jacquelin. Now of course, I''m a little biased because mine was so wonderful. Their lace is fantastic, and the colors are great for those who can''t pull off white-white. I''ve seen that one you like, it was on display at the shop where I got mine. It looked beautiful (the v-neck with the sash, just amazing!), but I don''t like the way I look in cap sleeves, and really wanted a low back, so I didn''t try it on. The corset bodice may be like mine, where it had good stays and structure in the bodice, but no laces. I had them sew cups into mine rather than wearing a bra (I had extra thick cups sewn in to help create more volume up top, I''m not flat chested, but the bridesmaids were all very well endowed so I didn''t want to look so wimpy!)

Here''s my dress, just because I can''t resist showing it off again :)

OK, so this thread is kind of old and you''ve probably already chosen your dress by now, but I have to chime in anyway because I just love the Jacqueline dress! Utterly, totally sophisticated, and yet sweet at the same time. I think most guys would just melt over this dress...

Oooh, just saw this thread. I don''t know if you''ve picked your dress yet Selkie, but if you hadn''t here''s another designer that you might find interesting: Martin McCrea
I really like the idea of them since they''re real silk and lace not polyester and they''re made in the US but are still reasonable. Well, by my standards at anyrate. Check out the new designs towards the bottom of the wedding page. I think my favorite of those is the Adora (naturally I like the most expensive dress

). Also check out Emma.

You''ll have to tell me if you tried on that dress and what you thought. It''s georgous and I purchased it myself over the weekend from an online site. I''m excited to get it... but I''m really curious to hear from someone who''s actually tried the dress on and what they thought!

Good luck!!
