It certainly felt like I was collecting stones forever lolHappy 20 years to you! In my mind you were still collecting stones, so when this thread popped up, I was like…..![]()

Thank you! I do love the gold, I’m so glad everyone bullied me into getting this comboIt’s a beautiful ring & I REALLY love the buttery gold. You are right about the gallery being light & airy. It’s a work of true craftsmanship. Wear it in good health!
Than you and I appreciated you coming along for the ride, you were always right there to help with the million small decisions along the way. I will take more pictures! So far I haven’t really had a chance to do a proper shoot but I’ll do it soon! And please feel free to borrow/use this design. I want people to enjoy it if they like it. Hey, don’t you have like a million small old cuts to set lol?Oh my god. Firstly happy anniversary before I forget! But seriously this has got to be the most anticipated search/project that I've followed and the unboxing, loved it! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. I love the gallery so much that I've screenshot it for future reference! What an incredible ring and your patience that went into finding the stones themselves. Have fun celebrating and please take a million more photos!
I've been following this journey from the beginning and the final ring delivered in every sense of the word! This ring is absolutely gorgeous -- the beautiful stones, the gallery - wow is all I can say. Love the unboxing process as well. Thanks for taking us with you.
Enjoy the ring for years to come!
The ring truly reflects 20 years.... just like a relationship, time, patience, a lot of love and creativity!! Congratulations!![]()
And I remembered style icon @oldcutclubmember sharing this favourite pairing of hers!
Anyway fun to think about options. I didn’t really have a plan for how I was going to wear these rings. Both rings fit on the ring finger of my L and R hands, and if it’s cool out the three stone fits on my right hand pointer. I was planning to sort of see what kinds of pairings I would gravitate to, and I’m planning to get plain wedding bands to pair with each ring.
I liked the plastic mold with my antique Belais ring as @mustangchi remembered, but in person something isn’t working for me. I feel like the wb pulls attention from the diamonds somehow. It’s much deeper grey than the platinum.
I do like it a lot with a plain gold band. This one is my husbands, which is actually my grandfathers wedding ring that I asked my husband to wear after I inherited it when my grandmother died. She wore it on a necklace for 6 years after my grandpa died and then she left it to me. I had it resized to fit my husband. It’s 14k and 3mm wide. I’d like this in either antique 22k gold or a matching antique 18k band made by DK. Just screams MARRIED.

Lol I love the YG wedding band haha that's my favourite pairing for my rings too. Guess we need the band to tell people we're married haha and yes I'm really considering sending my stones to DK to set. I kinda want my bangle to have a similar gallery to yours! Just perfection.
Thanks Yenny! And so nice to see you again. Your old cuts are still emblazoned in my mind. Do you still wear them often?Happy Anniversary @Dreamer_D ! I’ve loved following your journey on the thread in Antique and Vintage!! Your patience and perseverance is amazing and the end result is absolutely amazing!!
Wear her in good health and happiness!!
And I Love this post! I read many of your project threads when I was working on this, to see how the CADs looked and then end products, and see design elements. So thanks for all the inspiration!Gorgeous!
Love the two tone
Love the prongs
Love the stones.
How completely special!![]()
Thank you for all your support along the way! It’s true I picked them to go together… but there weren’t so many options! I really was worried about it coming out looking ill-matched and “cheap” somehow. So amazed at how the setting and prongs really minimized any wonkiness. I hoped it would work out like that but I wasn’t certain! It really did turn out very well. The diamonds look uniform and like they were chosen to be put together - which they were! Congrats on your special ring and wear it in health and happiness always! Thanks for allowing us to be part of the journey!
So nice to see you DS! I think I’m going to wear this ring a lot too. It is very classy and in some ways more understated than my three stone, though the bling factor is still very high. Did you ever post pictures of your five stone? I couldn’t find any and I’d love to see it!That is beautiful, Dreamer!!! And it is perfect to commemorate 20 years! I had VC make me a 5 stone band a couple of years ago (just a modern, classic style) and I wear it more than any other ring!
Just for fun here she is with my 1.89ct early ideal cut, also KL color and SI clarity. Set with two .30ct modern ideal cuts in a platinum and 18k gold hand engraved setting by Caysie van Bebber Design.
I won’t ever wear them like this but it’s fun anyway.
You can see the different tone of the golds here. I like them both but the antique is my favourite. I need a matching wedding band.
Like look how round and perfect they all look! So happy with how it came together.
The pic really shows the faceting differences among the three cuts.

I actually really like it with your 3 stone!
But with the plain band....loooooveThat's my absolute favourite look!!
Wow! It looks so beautiful on your hand! Perfect!! Congratulations!!
I have enjoyed following sling on your journey! The ring is beautiful. Happy Anniversary!
Yay, Ive been following this journey and am so happy with the outcome!!
I definitely tend to gravitate to very feminine styles. My personality isn’t very feminine but my style is super fem so I guess it fits! Sometimes I want to try a more chunky style or modern style but I keep going back to Victorian and Edwardian styles with delicate lines and detailing.Gosh that is pretty. So feminine!
And the two-tone really accentuates it.
Nice job!
Congrats! Love the v-tip prongs!
Breathtaking!!!
Congratulations! Happy Anniversary!
May you enjoy every sparkly bit of it!![]()
It’s so beautiful! Happy Anniversary! It’s truly sublime!![]()
Amazing! I knew it was going to be fabulous but it is really perfect! I love the gallery/baskets. The prongs are perfect- I see both the baseball hand and gollum’s precious seeking gimme hands- and I love it. Your expertise and thoughtfulness shine through in this ring!
Congratulations on 20 years, what an amazing accomplishment!
The perfect word. This is so satisfying!
Thank you! I love hunting for old cuts. I wish I could buy them all and hoard them like a dragon. This project really let me indulge and it was really fun.Exquisite! I love how you hunted your OECs down and then showcased them in this beautiful ring. Happy anniversary too!
Thanks June! So nice to share with old friends on here. It's gorgeous @Dreamer_D!! The gallery is amazing, just perfect. The diamonds look fantastic together and the ring looks beautiful on you. I've been quietly following along and I'm very happy for you! Happy Anniversary!
So beautiful! I love the story of how you acquired your stones and your thoughtfulness in the design process to get it perfect. Those semi bezels on the end hug the stones perfectly and the tiny tab prongs complement it perfectly. Well done! Happy Anniversary!
Loved the “ tease” photos ! Your ring is beyond gorgeous! Wishing you many years of blingy enjoyment and a very Happy 20th Anniversary !
