Dreamer’s 20th Anniversary OEC Five Stone Ring

It's absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations and Happy Anniversary.

Woo hoo! It’s gorgeous it looks like it was made for a queen and that’s you :) IMHO the two rings look good together.

Spotlight lighting shots! Undertree shots! Steering wheel shot!

It is just amazing and I am so happy for you! So much work and thought went into the entire ring - setting AND stones - and the attention to detail is evident.

It has been such a fun journey to follow, and why I really love Pricescope. Someone mentioned above that they were a little sad that it is over. I feel the SAME! Thank you for taking us along for the ride with you.

It is such a stunner of a ring and perfect in every way on your finger! Congrats!

That's just gorgeous! Congratulations on 20 years!

Congratulations on your new ring and your 20th anniversary ! I enjoyed your journey in creating this stunning work of art!=)2

Happy 20 years to you! In my mind you were still collecting stones, so when this thread popped up, I was like….. :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2:
It certainly felt like I was collecting stones forever lol

It’s a beautiful ring & I REALLY love the buttery gold. You are right about the gallery being light & airy. It’s a work of true craftsmanship. Wear it in good health!
Thank you! I do love the gold, I’m so glad everyone bullied me into getting this combo :lol-2:

Oh my god. Firstly happy anniversary before I forget! But seriously this has got to be the most anticipated search/project that I've followed and the unboxing, loved it! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. I love the gallery so much that I've screenshot it for future reference! What an incredible ring and your patience that went into finding the stones themselves. Have fun celebrating and please take a million more photos!
Than you and I appreciated you coming along for the ride, you were always right there to help with the million small decisions along the way. I will take more pictures! So far I haven’t really had a chance to do a proper shoot but I’ll do it soon! And please feel free to borrow/use this design. I want people to enjoy it if they like it. Hey, don’t you have like a million small old cuts to set lol?

I've been following this journey from the beginning and the final ring delivered in every sense of the word! This ring is absolutely gorgeous -- the beautiful stones, the gallery - wow is all I can say. Love the unboxing process as well. Thanks for taking us with you.

Enjoy the ring for years to come!

So glad you came along for the journey! I feel like this really delivered too. I’m really enjoy long wearing it today!

@Dreamer_D you put so much love and work into achieving this perfect five stone! I’m amazed by your discerning eye as well as your perseverance- congrats on a stunning piece and on your 20 year anniversary!

Oh Dreamer, it was totally worth the wait and all of the hard work you put into this gorgeous ring! So happy for you. Happy 20th Anniversary!

Happy anniversary!! It’s just sublime! The details in the gallery are so beautiful. Congratulations!

What a stunning ring! I absolutely love it!!! Your care and attention to detail really shines through - it’s a once in a lifetime piece <3

The baskets are perfection - I adore the design!

Just trying out this ridiculous pairing for @Inked and @oncrutchesrightnow

IMG_4709.jpegIMG_4708.jpeg

My husband said it looks tacky. o_O My instinct was to say the same lol. It’s a lot of bling for me on one finger!

But I think it could work for me in a fancier social setting, like a wedding or New Year’s party or award ceremony. I wouldn’t wear any other jewelry, just these rings. No watch or earrings or bracelets. And I’d dress very monochrome, like a long black dress, maybe a long string of pearls. My long hair loose to keep it less formal. I feel like I could pull that off and enjoy this look.

What a pretty ring! I love how you collected each diamond and got to know their individual personalities before setting. I'm sure this ring will bring you a life time of happiness. Congrats on your anniversary!

And I remembered style icon @oldcutclubmember sharing this favourite pairing of hers!
Thank you❤️ Here it is with Cordelia, my OMC 3 stone. I just ADORE them together!! I’ll be wearing this combo often for a blingy stack lol

Anyway fun to think about options. I didn’t really have a plan for how I was going to wear these rings. Both rings fit on the ring finger of my L and R hands, and if it’s cool out the three stone fits on my right hand pointer. I was planning to sort of see what kinds of pairings I would gravitate to, and I’m planning to get plain wedding bands to pair with each ring.

I liked the plastic mold with my antique Belais ring as @mustangchi remembered, but in person something isn’t working for me. I feel like the wb pulls attention from the diamonds somehow. It’s much deeper grey than the platinum.

I do like it a lot with a plain gold band. This one is my husbands, which is actually my grandfathers wedding ring that I asked my husband to wear after I inherited it when my grandmother died. She wore it on a necklace for 6 years after my grandpa died and then she left it to me. I had it resized to fit my husband. It’s 14k and 3mm wide. I’d like this in either antique 22k gold or a matching antique 18k band made by DK. Just screams MARRIED.

The ring truly reflects 20 years.... just like a relationship, time, patience, a lot of love and creativity!! Congratulations! :kiss2:

Yes this is exactly what makes a great 20 year relationship. Plus a big dose of fun and frolicking together lol

I don’t know if I’ve ever said this in here recently, but some of the most popular classes I teach at my university are about the psychology of close relationships. And this is exactly what we spend half the term talking about. The ingredients of a good relationship I mean, not diamonds lol.

Thought the kids always comment on my diamonds blinding them! I can only imagine the reaction if I wear both rings to lecture! :lol-2:

Special shout out to the absolute GOAT bench person who made this ring. It is really gorgeous.

This was the antique goal post I had for the delicacy of the gallery for this ring.

IMG_4524.jpeg

I think the artisan who made this totally succeeded.

Lol I love the YG wedding band haha that's my favourite pairing for my rings too. Guess we need the band to tell people we're married haha and yes I'm really considering sending my stones to DK to set. I kinda want my bangle to have a similar gallery to yours! Just perfection.

Oh @Dreamer_D the ring is perfection! Fab finger coverage and I love all of the band pairings, too-Congratulations!

OMG that would be an amazing gallery for a bangle!

Absolute perfection! Congrats on your anniversary and many more to come!

Happy Anniversary @Dreamer_D ! I’ve loved following your journey on the thread in Antique and Vintage!! Your patience and perseverance is amazing and the end result is absolutely amazing!!

Wear her in good health and happiness!!
Thanks Yenny! And so nice to see you again. Your old cuts are still emblazoned in my mind. Do you still wear them often?

Gorgeous!
Love the two tone
Love the prongs
Love the stones.
How completely special!
And I Love this post! I read many of your project threads when I was working on this, to see how the CADs looked and then end products, and see design elements. So thanks for all the inspiration!

It really did turn out very well. The diamonds look uniform and like they were chosen to be put together - which they were! Congrats on your special ring and wear it in health and happiness always! Thanks for allowing us to be part of the journey!
Thank you for all your support along the way! It’s true I picked them to go together… but there weren’t so many options! I really was worried about it coming out looking ill-matched and “cheap” somehow. So amazed at how the setting and prongs really minimized any wonkiness. I hoped it would work out like that but I wasn’t certain!

That is beautiful, Dreamer!!! And it is perfect to commemorate 20 years! I had VC make me a 5 stone band a couple of years ago (just a modern, classic style) and I wear it more than any other ring!
So nice to see you DS! I think I’m going to wear this ring a lot too. It is very classy and in some ways more understated than my three stone, though the bling factor is still very high. Did you ever post pictures of your five stone? I couldn’t find any and I’d love to see it!

Hi @Dreamer_D yes, I am still a die hard old cut fan! I wear Bertie daily and the SS oval on my right hand when we go out. I have both white and yellow gold OEC pendants and stud earrings. I don’t own any modern cut diamonds, come to think of it!

God bless, David and team knocked this out of the park! That profile view is divine and so clean!!! Just an absolute beautiful ring - and FWIW I enjoy the two larger rings together :)

Just for fun here she is with my 1.89ct early ideal cut, also KL color and SI clarity. Set with two .30ct modern ideal cuts in a platinum and 18k gold hand engraved setting by Caysie van Bebber Design.

I won’t ever wear them like this but it’s fun anyway.

IMG_4661.jpegIMG_4666.jpeg

You can see the different tone of the golds here. I like them both but the antique is my favourite. I need a matching wedding band.

IMG_4662.jpeg

Like look how round and perfect they all look! So happy with how it came together.

The pic really shows the faceting differences among the three cuts.

IMG_4667.jpeg

Gorgeous - I've loved following along on your journey. Thanks for including us! Congrats

I actually really like it with your 3 stone!

But with the plain band....looooove :kiss2: That's my absolute favourite look!!

I know you wear your five stone with a band, right? It is such a classic look. How long do I have to wait after buying this ring before I can buy another ring? Lol

Wow! It looks so beautiful on your hand! Perfect!! Congratulations!!

Thank you!!

I have enjoyed following sling on your journey! The ring is beautiful. Happy Anniversary!

Thank you for following along! The five stone in your avatar looks gorgeous too.

Yay, Ive been following this journey and am so happy with the outcome!!

Thank you for coming along for the ride!
Gosh that is pretty. So feminine!
And the two-tone really accentuates it.
Nice job!
I definitely tend to gravitate to very feminine styles. My personality isn’t very feminine but my style is super fem so I guess it fits! Sometimes I want to try a more chunky style or modern style but I keep going back to Victorian and Edwardian styles with delicate lines and detailing.

Congrats! Love the v-tip prongs!

Me too, highly recommend them.
Breathtaking!!!
Congratulations! Happy Anniversary!
May you enjoy every sparkly bit of it! ♥️

Thank you , I am enjoying the sparkles.
It’s so beautiful! Happy Anniversary! It’s truly sublime!

It’s been bringing me so much pleasure this weekend. I wore it to a soccer game and a pinball pizza parlour and to the mall lol. Glamour has no boundaries!

Amazing! I knew it was going to be fabulous but it is really perfect! I love the gallery/baskets. The prongs are perfect- I see both the baseball hand and gollum’s precious seeking gimme hands- and I love it. Your expertise and thoughtfulness shine through in this ring!
Congratulations on 20 years, what an amazing accomplishment!

Bee you’ve been such a great help along the way, always offering suggestions. Thanks so much! I really feel this is the first project I’ve done where the end is just exactly what I wanted. I love my two previous custom rings, they are both stunning, but this time my experience allowed me to really hone in on what I wanted and it makes me so happy. All the little details and so pleasing to me. The v-tip prongs in particular please me no end just hugging between the diamonds like they do.

This is so satisfying!
The perfect word.

Exquisite! I love how you hunted your OECs down and then showcased them in this beautiful ring. Happy anniversary too!
Thank you! I love hunting for old cuts. I wish I could buy them all and hoard them like a dragon. This project really let me indulge and it was really fun.

It's gorgeous @Dreamer_D!! The gallery is amazing, just perfect. The diamonds look fantastic together and the ring looks beautiful on you. I've been quietly following along and I'm very happy for you! Happy Anniversary!
Thanks June! So nice to share with old friends on here.

So beautiful! I love the story of how you acquired your stones and your thoughtfulness in the design process to get it perfect. Those semi bezels on the end hug the stones perfectly and the tiny tab prongs complement it perfectly. Well done! Happy Anniversary!

I really love the bezel, it does seem to hug the stones. Highly recommend that design element if you reset your five stone. The security and comfort is really great.

Loved the “ tease” photos ! Your ring is beyond gorgeous! Wishing you many years of blingy enjoyment and a very Happy 20th Anniversary !

lol I always got a kick out of it when other people did that so I thought I’d give it a try. Makes you feel like your along for the ride!
