Dreamer’s 20th Anniversary OEC Five Stone Ring

Do you all think I need a spacer to safely wear the rings together? I don’t think the diamond girdles touch the three stone prongs bc the metal gets in the way but there is metal on metal touching of the prongs…

It's perfect. All your hard work and your thought processes really paid off. I'm so glad that you love it. DK did a masterful job and I think the antique gold was definitely the right choice. Yes.....get a matching band =)2 and wear this beautiful new ring in good health.

It's absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations and Happy Anniversary.
Thank you dear!

Woo hoo! It’s gorgeous it looks like it was made for a queen and that’s you :) IMHO the two rings look good together.

Spotlight lighting shots! Undertree shots! Steering wheel shot!
Yessss I will get on all those! Dang work and kids are getting in the way of bling pictures :eek2:

It is just amazing and I am so happy for you! So much work and thought went into the entire ring - setting AND stones - and the attention to detail is evident.

It has been such a fun journey to follow, and why I really love Pricescope. Someone mentioned above that they were a little sad that it is over. I feel the SAME! Thank you for taking us along for the ride with you.

It is such a stunner of a ring and perfect in every way on your finger! Congrats!
Thank you for coming along! I am very happy to have it on my finger and I’m really looking forward to the styling options when I get some lore bands. But I also feel a little bitter sweet the project is done. What the heck am I supposed to do with all my time now??

That's just gorgeous! Congratulations on 20 years!

Thank you!
Congratulations on your new ring and your 20th anniversary ! I enjoyed your journey in creating this stunning work of art!=)2
Thank you for coming along for the ride!

Just trying out this ridiculous pairing for @Inked and @oncrutchesrightnow

IMG_4709.jpegIMG_4708.jpeg

My husband said it looks tacky. o_O My instinct was to say the same lol. It’s a lot of bling for me on one finger!

But I think it could work for me in a fancier social setting, like a wedding or New Year’s party or award ceremony. I wouldn’t wear any other jewelry, just these rings. No watch or earrings or bracelets. And I’d dress very monochrome, like a long black dress, maybe a long string of pearls. My long hair loose to keep it less formal. I feel like I could pull that off and enjoy this look.

I seriously love it!!!! I think it's just what you are used to, like i wear such gigantic jewelry it looks normal to me, and this doesnt look over the top or anything! Its so romantic and beautiful :kiss2:

My husband always grabs my hand and says "This looks ridiculous, it's so huge..." he thinks its tacky and materialistic. I dont care, i know how generous I am with everyone. It makes me happy, and everyone should want me to be happy. LOL

Dreamer, your ring is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece! The stones, intricate gallery, and metal choices are perfection. Whatever you pair it with, the result is spectacular. Happy Anniversary!

That is a marvelous ring!!!! The side profile is amazing. Congratulations!

Took these babes for a spin yesterday. I like it with my gold-tone watch.

I never imagined wearing them together but I sure like being able to see all the bling at once!

They look amazing together I can only imagine all the pastel rainbows you’re seeing! You did such an amazing job pairing all your diamonds and details together! Congrats wear in good health. :kiss2: :kiss2:

I also asked my husband to take some “real life perspective” photos so I could see how it looks to other people so I could check if it was too gaudy :lol-2: Maybe it is but I still like it. I’m a little gaudy too.

I think they look great together and not at all gaudy. I don’t always like that combination but those two rings look like they belong together. Just start planning for another right hand ring - lol!

Gaudy?? What is this word you speak of?

Well you know I am a huge fan of this look! Embrace that inner gaudiness :lol-2:  Honestly I don't think it's too much at all, both pieces compliment eachother so well! I hope I am influencing you in all the right ways, lol!!

What a spectacular ring, Dreamer! I love how much thought you've put into all the details. I also adore how it looks with your three-stone. Happy anniversary!

Well I definitely consider both of you to be a couple of really classy dames with beautiful collections, so if you like it then I do too!

Definitely the right influence!

We’ve both been around these parts for a while. I feel like this BIG BLING look is kinda retro?? Like, early 2000s into the 2010s. For a long time everything was micropave and more recently plain yellow gold. Three stone with massive eternity/five stone harkens to a different jewelry style era. I’m enjoying it especially as I am now a “woman of a certain age” and I think being a little over-the-top stylistically can be a privilege of that phase of life.

I showed my irl friend this gif I learned how to make thanks to @Inked and she said “I love them together though that is a statement! A sparkly statement!” :lol-2:

I also found that my size tolerances changed with age! What you might not have considered as a young bride, now fits your life much better. Almost like you’ve earned the right to wear something larger with complete comfort!

@Dreamer_D you put so much love and work into achieving this perfect five stone! I’m amazed by your discerning eye as well as your perseverance- congrats on a stunning piece and on your 20 year anniversary!
Thank you so much! I admire your amazing collection of old cuts and pearls, I can’t wait to see what comes next for you.

Oh Dreamer, it was totally worth the wait and all of the hard work you put into this gorgeous ring! So happy for you. Happy 20th Anniversary!
Yes I think it was worth the wait. Your set was inspiring to me, now all I need is a plain band. I love the antique gold but it makes matching metal for a band challenging!

Happy anniversary!! It’s just sublime! The details in the gallery are so beautiful. Congratulations!
Thank you for all your support along the way!

What a stunning ring! I absolutely love it!!! Your care and attention to detail really shines through - it’s a once in a lifetime piece <3

The baskets are perfection - I adore the design!
Thank you for your advice and participation in the project! Yes, this is definitely a once in a lifetime piece for me. I’m so happy to have it. I’m really enjoying wearing it.

Oh @Dreamer_D the ring is perfection! Fab finger coverage and I love all of the band pairings, too-Congratulations!
Yay for fleur de lis galleries! Your ring was a huge inspiration and thanks so much for coming along for the project you were one of my ride or die collabs!

Absolute perfection! Congrats on your anniversary and many more to come!
<3 thank you!

God bless, David and team knocked this out of the park! That profile view is divine and so clean!!! Just an absolute beautiful ring - and FWIW I enjoy the two larger rings together :)
They did a great job and the process was very smooth and easy. I absolutely counted your vote for team BIG BLING lol I still need to get used to rocking that look but I think with practice I’ll get there lol can’t wait to see what you come up with for your new rock!

Gorgeous - I've loved following along on your journey. Thanks for including us! Congrats
Thank you for coming along! It’s much more fun to share.

Ohhhh.... @Dreamer_D, what a WONDERFUL ring this is! It was worth this long journey! It looks amazing on your hand! Truly made for you! Congratulations on 20 years my dear @Dreamer_D and thank you for taking all of us along this fantastic bling adventure!

Oh I love them together and not gaudy at all. Rock it sister! You've worked so hard for the bling so it's so good to see it all at once! It's a reminder of your hard work and should be enjoyed.

I'm old so there is that. I like a lot of bling these days but it could be that I just can't see small bling anymore, lol.

I love them together! The perfect statement!

Today my friend and fellow academic popped into my office to see the new ring. I was wearing it solo in my left hand and had my three stone on the right. She admired the five stone and then I told her that my friends on the internet were telling me I should wear the rings together and I popped the three stone into my left hand to show her. We both cackled gleefully. It’s so audacious. I said it’s giving “boss b!tch energy” :evil2: Which is in keeping with who I am I guess. We agreed it is awesome and I should wear what I like.

Keepin’ it classy with some pearls today.

IMG_4771.jpeg

And just chillin’ with big bling and my awards/honours (and wedding pictures) on the wall lol

IMG_4773.jpeg

I'm laughing and reading this. We all need friends like this in real life hahaha. It's so nice to be able to share something you love with friends other than PS!

@Dreamer_D

You say B!tch Boss Energy, I say

….. Black Willow Fighting Pose Energy

My taste leans toward dainty jewelry, but I 100% don't think this is too much together. I think it's because despite the size and total ctw of diamonds, they are still delicate pieces with little metal and fine details. It's very classy. If I can wear my Schlumberger Daisy to the office on any given day, you sure can carry this off!

I also asked my husband to take some “real life perspective” photos so I could see how it looks to other people so I could check if it was too gaudy :lol-2: Maybe it is but I still like it. I’m a little gaudy too.

Those rings are just beautiful together and not too gaudy at all! I'll bet it is such a "wow" look in person!

And my brain right now is saying, "Maybe I COULD wear a five stone with my three stone..." See what you've done here? Just all kinds of inspiration/bad influence! Lol

Seriously, I love them together!

Yes it is a wow look. I’m not 100% comfortable with it because of course, it is not only a thing of beauty but also a display of wealth that still feels a little weird to me in the full context of my life. But I liiiiiike it a lot so I think I will get used to it. And for variety of “lower key” days I can wear the five stone in its own. Hopefully with a plain gold band eventually.

If you are talking about this stunner than absolutely you can and should create your quadex five stone to wear with it! Now that would be bling bling! It’s a fun option!

These are me favourite proportions. Sometimes I ponder larger side stones for my ring but the setting is so nice it seems a shame to change it.
I spent so much time in this thread when deciding on proportions and I realized I never included my final dream ring!

Here she is: my 2.091 K ACA with 1.4 ctw (.7 each) K ACA side stones in a slightly modified platinum Butterflies setting. (Thanks to @yssie for the AMAZING setting design and to @the_mother_thing for the idea of little semi-bezels on the ends!)

YES! That is it! And thank you! I really went back and forth (and back and forth) on the side stone size, but knew deep down I'd never change them once I spent money on this setting. (Because I hate to feel like I wasted money on something!) So, I went as big as I could with the proportions!

Your three stone is gorgeous as is, and I love the proportions. I really think it looks just right with your five stone. Your center stone really pops and it's still so blingy!

The Quadex five stone is going to be fun if I ever get there. LOL They're smaller stones (.30's) But they're such a pretty set and look so happy together! I had thought about a mixed stone kind of thing, or even a graduated one, but once I saw all of these lined up, I knew they were meant to be a five stone ring! (I really think I bought every K Quadex BGD had!)

I don't want to highjack your amazing thread at all, but here are a couple of pics of them lined up. Aren't they so cute???
