You might enjoy this: Yesterday I was at an outdoor pub patio celebrating two of my graduate students successfully defending their thesis/dissertation this week, and one of them complimented by star sapphire. She said she didn't know sapphires came in that color! I guess she only knew about blue sapphires not pink. And then another asked what "asterism" is so I gave a little demo. It was really cute and I taught them a little something about colored gems!

How fun is that... you're a teacher through and through! Your students must love you. So much of this stuff is common knowledge to us gem junkies that we forget how fascinating it truly is. My favorite is watching people's faces when you tell them rubies and sapphires are the same material.

I really love diamonds, but I guess I'm just not as comfortable buying them as CS. You almost need a doctorate in mathematics to properly source one. lol You did a splendid job 5x over. I chose OECs for my studs and couldn't be happier. Congrats again and enjoy!!
