Today my friend and fellow academic popped into my office to see the new ring. I was wearing it solo in my left hand and had my three stone on the right. She admired the five stone and then I told her that my friends on the internet were telling me I should wear the rings together and I popped the three stone into my left hand to show her. We both cackled gleefully. It’s so audacious. I said it’s giving “boss b!tch energy” Which is in keeping with who I am I guess. We agreed it is awesome and I should wear what I like.

Keepin’ it classy with some pearls today.

This looks seriously amazing together. And honestly, with all you have done and accomplished including your 20 year marriage and awards, it's something to be proud of. I may have fallen victim to the "I deserve this" mentality but darn it I DO , and you absolutely do too!!

And GAUDY... here???!!! I cant say I have seen it! LOL!!
Like, how did i end up with an 8 carat 3 stone in the works?? Because I like GAUDY?? Nooooo..... Every time I see the dishes my husband left on the counter NEXT TO THE SINK instead of IN the sink and I didnt murder him, the carat weight went up .10... so for you rocking those gorgeous rings together, its a reminder of how much we love our husbands and how hard we work to keep our houses/jobs/marriages/families going!!

With the rise of lab diamonds I feel less guilty about my natural diamonds being razzle dazzle lol. There's so many other things that scream wealth but I do understand that it's a personal thing.

Personal, regional… it’s a good point about labs. I still don’t see those very much around where I live, or at least, not big ones.

I’m enjoying my new ring solo and paired for the old dazzle dazzle. And I switch around depending on my mood in the moment. It’s just all-around fun.

My husband said it looks tacky. My instinct was to say the same lol. It’s a lot of bling for me on one finger!

But I think it could work for me in a fancier social setting, like a wedding or New Year’s party or award ceremony. I wouldn’t wear any other jewelry, just these rings. No watch or earrings or bracelets. And I’d dress very monochrome, like a long black dress, maybe a long string of pearls. My long hair loose to keep it less formal. I feel like I could pull that off and enjoy this look.

Yes. I wonder if it would look good with a thin (gold?) band between. Just curious, I actually have no idea.

Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! Your five stone is the prettiest modern-created antique style basket and setting I’ve ever seen. The diamonds are perfect together (so cool you found them separately)! The setting is both substantial and delicate, must be so satisfying to wear. You’ve got an enviable ability to design inspirational rings. I hope you wear them all in good health and happiness.

I would love to see a thin solid spacer band … no engraving or texture … either yg or platinum … and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sold on having three rings on at one, until I tried it. It breaks up the two just enough so they both can shine. Just make sure your spacer is .5-1 size bigger, otherwise it’s like a too-tight-turtleneck-claustrophobic-anxiety-trigger kinda situation, lol.

I LOVE having a thin band between Flora and Cinderella. I’m thinking I’m going to switch up my spacer color based on which season it is…

Yeah I was just thinking that today too! So glad I finished this project when I did. I’m not totally sure how it would affect me in Canada because I don’t think we have counter tariffs on US jewelry, but obviously if US vendors have to raise prices to account for added costs of raw materials then they would pass that along to buyers.

It’s all so up in the air. I’m glad my antique gold wedding band is already in Canada too! I didn’t have to pay any duties or tariffs on it.

I have been enjoying wearing my five stone most days since I got it. Often I wear her alone but sometimes I wear the big bling razzle dazzle look and I’m getting used to it. I bought an antique 18k gold band, 2.6mm wide and engraved 1920 — which is fun bc it celebrates 20 years and I engraved “vingt” (French for 20) inside the five stone. The wedding band should arrive next week. I am hoping it pairs well with both my rings.

My taste leans toward dainty jewelry, but I 100% don't think this is too much together. I think it's because despite the size and total ctw of diamonds, they are still delicate pieces with little metal and fine details. It's very classy. If I can wear my Schlumberger Daisy to the office on any given day, you sure can carry this off!

I went and looked up the daisy ring again. Stunning! And yes, that’s a bold look. But still utterly classy. I agree that the delicacy of my rings makes them work together. You mostly just see the diamonds so it’s not chunky at all.

Thank you! My husband and I share finances of course, but we used part of his bonus this year for the ring. He feels very proud of saying “he” bought me a diamond ring for our anniversary lol I’m so glad it worked out I was able to put it all together. It brings me a lot of joy and it’s fitting for such a milestone for sure.

Yeah it a nice little piece of serendipity bc I didn’t buy it for that particular date but I like the echo of time there.

It’s also 100 years nearly to day before the COVID pandemic shut downs lol.

Oh and I will def add more pictures! I’ve been waiting to do a little collection shoot now that I will have FOUR WHOLE PIECES of fine jewelry. I think that makes a collection.

Here is a true antique 18k from 1920, DKs 18k antique yellow gold, and CVBs modern 18k gold.


It still looks nice with my three stone.


It also pairs beautifully with my 18k wg Belais wedding band, which is from the same era though not engraved.

Omg… your 1920 antique band with your 5 stone, oh my god…. I’m not sure I would ever take that off. It’s absolutely perfect! I’m soooo happy everything has come together for you so beautifully- and that you found a band that has your special month April and number 20 … congratulations!

The gallery view is just It is so airy and delicate. In person it doesn’t even look real. It is perfect.



The stance of the ring is about 4.6mm. It is high enough to have presence but still feels very low for comfort.


The tab and v-tip prongs are smooth like butter. So incredibly comfortable to wear! I can’t even feel it. It’s just what I was hoping for and having this comfort with such high design aesthetic feels like having my cake and eating it too.


My husband likes the split tab prongs. He said it looks like fingers holding a baseball I think they look like graspy little gollum fingers. Which of course is a good thing.

In person of course you can barely see them.



What I am totally amazed by is how nearly identical the diamonds look now that they are set. I thought it would work but I was absolutely nervous because loose their differences in size and shape are so obvious. But set they all look just round and perfect. I could not tell them apart except that I decided on the setting order. And two with smaller cutlets are on one side and two with larger on the other. But look at how uniform they are! It’s wild.

I was literally thinking "where is LALA and how dare she not see my post??

I am really enjoying wearing these ring together. If push came to shove, I still think I prefer the five stone alone. I like how it looks floating diamonds on my finger and the view of the gallery is unimpeded. BUT I also agree it looks like a really perfect cohesive set paired with the antique band! And it does really look "married." Plus when I wear more than one ring, I think the added wedding band helps balance the look and draws attention to the symbolism of that finger.

I've been gravitating to wearing the five stone and wb on my left hand and my three stone on my right ring finger, and when I'm fancy, I have added my star sapphire to my left pointer finger. That combo feels balanced to me and still lets me enjoy the luxury of wearing all my bling at once!
