I LOVE the last dress!!! It''s gorgeous. The Demetrios dress is my next pick.

I adore the lazaro dress too but out of the ones you posted the pics of the demitrios dress is gorgeous on you.

demetrio style 900 is exactly the same kind of dress that I want!!

I love it on you, so my opinion if not too biased is THAT ONE!! HEHEHE

you look amazing in it!!

Found these on the knots dress search tool. Thought they might be something for you to look into:

Essence of Australia knot dress number D608. I liked Essence''s quality and construction when I was gown shopping.

Demetrios knot dress number 3077

Soterro and Midgley knot number A 3050 -- looked very spanish to me.

Gypsy, can I hire you????? will you come shopping with me??? haha. Seriously, I need some local PSers

You are the best! I love all those! specially the last one!...it has both features I liked between the Lazaro and the Demetrios!

I am not sure I have any stores on my list that carry those, so I need to go back and re0check! The store I''m going to on Saturday has Pronovias, Paloma Blanca and Essence of Australia!!!

The store for Saturday also has Maggie Sotero gowns!!!!

!

Great! Paloma Blanca was my favorite in terms of quality and price of all the designers I looked at. Pearls discounts her dresses as well. But I got one salon I was at to match the pearls price on the gown I was considering. Can't wait to see more pictures!!

ETA: I don't know if 'sottero and midgely' is the same as maggie sottero... it might be a branch, but that might mean separate retailers. I would check on the knot and see what the website for the designer is then check to see if your store carries that line as well, if you like that gown.

Oh, and honey... you are more than welcome for all our help. Anytime.

Thank you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mustangfan- You can find the Demetrios online for like $800! It''s a steal and that dress is gorgeous...it''s definitely still one of my top dresses, but I feel I need to keep looking some more

. Thank you for the compliment!

Gypsy- I am so excited to try on more desses this weekend, it looks like they have a lot of the designers you brought up!!

I hope they let me take pictures!!!. Thanks for all your tips and suggestions!

Mercoledi- I love those Maggie gowns too!!!!!!! Thank you!!!

Starryeyed- Your post made me laugh! I had not seen anything weird with my armpits with the Demetrios dress, until you said so! hahaha....there is a little "chicho" there, but I don''t think it was the dress, I think it was the way it was all clipped that made it do that. Thanks for noticing!! hehe

Ladyofflowers- I love San Patrick Barcelona and I think one store in Miami has them, so I will check those out in 2 weeks!. Charo Prez doesn''t have any retailers here though

but he has gorgeous dresses too! I remember we got engaged around the same time! How''s your wedding planning? When is your wedding?

FG, Basil, Zoe, Dani, Netfreak, Jas12, surfgirl, majupa, EBree, snlee and bee: Thank you!!!!!! for the honest opinions, compliments and suggestions!!

Hi Mandarine!

Well, I need to thank you first; because i am probably buying demetrios #900. I went to Macy''s yesterday just to try on that dress and boy it was gorgeous!! The online picture on Demetrios website is not making any justice to the dress at all. It is light in weight, so i can dance comfortably and i love the sweet heart neck and the sparkly lace. the sample i tried was nude/white lace but the lady there showed me an ivory/white version; incomparably better. although i have another appointment tomorrow to check out jim hjelm dresses i have always admired, i am not sure now if i want to go there at all. just an idea, the lady put a short veil on my hair yesterday, it was also lovely versus the long lacey veil you were trying on.

Before seeing demetrios, I have also liked forever yours style #47123. http://www.foreverbridals.com/gownpix.asp?Style=47123 this one also looks better in real life. Price is almost half of demetrios though. But my mother didn''t like the bottom of the skirt, although that''s why i was attracted to the dress in the first place.

About wedding planning, i haven''t done anything yet. We were thinking about this August but air fare prices to Turkey are super high (i''m Turkish, the first wedding will be there) and this dress won''t be ready by August anyway. So we will have it in October instead. I''m going to Turkey within a few weeks to start the arrangements and book a site. We''ll see, no certain date so far for us.

Hi everyone!

My saga continues...I''m having fun though!..hehe.

I loved this last store I went to, but I don''t feel the pictures do the gowns justice! They looked shiny on the pictures, but they''re not like that in real life..

Anyway, looking for honest opinions, as always!.

I want to go back to that store and try on more...I went with FMIL and ended up trying a lot of "her style" (I liked them too though!)...That store had the best gowns though, so I want to go back for round two, to try different styles...something more "spanish"...

Here we go...

Pronovias "Embrujo" gown

LaSposa "Sitgel" gown (they are also a part of Pronovias)

Last one, by St Patrick, don''t remember the name of the gown though! (they wrote it down at the store)

They''re also part of Pronovias

Back...

Both sides of this dress are different, the gown is "asymmetrical" (sp?)...

so here is one side...

The other side...

Ok, that was it!...

I did try on more but these were my favorites (of the ones I tried on)...

what do you guys think? this is a completely different style than the Demetrios or the other ones I tried....

I think if I could (and $ permitted) I would have like 3 different dresses...hehehe!...but I don''t!...so here is what I''m looking for:

- Somewhat Spanish style...it doesn''t have to scream Spanish though. A romantic, flowy dress, I love lace, and flowers. I don''t want a princessy gown.
- A dress that flatters my figure
- A dress that fits the budget! (that eliminates the Lazaro dress)

hi mandarine, i''m late to this thread, but just want to say the dresses all look great and how exciting! my fave is the demitrios..but not sure if you''ve narrowed it down further.

my dress is also a-line and lacy, so of course that''s where i''ll lean! i love feminine and classic. is the demitrious one within budget?

can''t wait to hear what you''ve narrowed it down to!!

Thank you Janine!!!

This process is MUCH harder than what I thought and I''m having a really hard time deciding!!!

The Demetrios gown does fit the budget so that is still a "top contender!" ;)

opinions pretty please!!

Oh, Mandarine -- they're all so lovely!! I wish we could see photos of you in that Lazaro because it's just gorgeous! But of the photos of YOU in dresses, I think the Demetrios is just stunning on you, and I also like that that 2nd Jude Waddell dress. That 2nd Waddell is really unique, and I think all the components (the sleeves, the lace) really add up to a beautiful and different dress.

But I'm still leaning toward the Demetrios -- I think it's a total stunner on you!!

ETA: Duh, I replied before I saw page 2 with new photos! So now I think my favorite is that Embrujos (sp?) -- that looks more "Spanish" to me, and it look fantastic on you! Second favorite is the Demetrios one. I think that one keeps getting to me because of the veil you're wearing with it -- it just completes the look so well!

I was just browsing before a meeting at 10am. Wasn''t going to post... but I had to. That Pronovias Embrujo is AMAZING on you!!! It shows off how thin you are but gives you a total hourglass figure. It''s got a Spanish feel with the drape and the flower yet is ''light'' and airy enough that it shows YOU off. I think it''s fabulous. My favorite to date by FAR.

The fit is perfect for your body, and the design is unique and subtle and interesting all at once... all the things I was looking for back when I was dress-shopping! And like Gypsy said, wearing it shows YOU off, not the dress... which is exactly how it should be.
