We''re back and I just have to say, we really needed 2 weeks instead of 2 days - we hardly got to see anything and the trip just whetted our appetites for a real vacation to take the drive! We loved Solvang - very quaint town and we tried the aebleskiver pancakes and bought some fudge for friends...got to Cambria in the evening the night before and had dinner there---HAVE to go back and spend a decent amount of time walking around the shops and galleries. We really liked the San Luis Creek Lodge - where we stayed in San Luis Obispo...they have 3 "mansions" with themed architecture and decor and we enjoyed ours alot (it had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub - gorgeous bathroom BTW).
