Elle's Gemstone Adventures

*gasp* love the new ring! You have such a good eye.
Cute St.P nails too!
Thank you! Hang around PS long enough and you start getting an eye for beautiful saturated gems. My bank account may not be as grateful.

Thanks for the nail compliment too.

Your new Lily ring is gorgeous! I love the color combo!
Thank you! It's a step away from my usual pink and paraiba color combo, but I love it! :kiss2:

I just got in a new ring in from David Klass so I wanted to add it here.

I used to have a gorgeous lab emerald ring, but I sold it a couple years ago. Of course, being me, I started missing it. I enjoy having a ring that I can wear without having to worry as much about accidentally knocking it into something or getting sunscreen on it. Something I can wear on vacation fuss free. So…I started a new project.

It’s a “paraiba colored“ lab sapphire from Finewater Gems.
Center stone: 4.25ct emerald cut lab sapphire (10.3 x 7.1 x 5.5)
Sides: .45ctw lab diamond traps (G, VS) (5.4 x 3.2 x 2.6)

Vendor photo of the stone:
You can see the soft silkiness, which gives it a delicious “glow” in the sun. It also has a very cool bit of color zoning on one end, where it’s a touch more green.

Thank you! I can’t wait to see your lab emerald set…though I can say that same thing about several of your gems. Less buying, more setting please. The natives are getting restless (It’s me, I’m the natives).:lol:

It’s beautiful!
Thank you! The color is perfection imo. :kiss2:

Omg that is beautiful!!! :kiss2:
Thank you! It’s good for casual wear, while still making a statement.

This picture is perfection. The combination of those two colours... delicious. Exquisite. sigh
Thank you!! I’m glad I’m not alone in loving that mix of coloring. It’s just so special isn‘t it?!

@elle_71125 the mind is willing, however, the piggy bank is rather empty!

I am hoping to set the neon pink Sapphire that Jeff W had sourced and re-cut for me soon, then his Asscher cut Zircon.

DK :lol-2:

A situation I am very familiar with. Lol.
I hope your bling bank cooperates with your dreams soon so we can all admire a new piece of bling. That pink sapphire is an excellent choice imo. You know I love a good pink! :kiss2:

It is spectacular Elle! Love the pup pic the most!!! I love your photos.

Thank you!! That’s my sweet boy, Gizmo. We had a lot of fun outside. Me actively trying to get bling pics & videos…and him actively trying to get me to stop so I can play fetch. :lol-2:

Look at that green sapphire! The glow is incredible!

The ring is absolutely gorgeous. Like a pool of water! But my favorite is the pup. Look at that smile!

I’ve been a very lazy poster, but I’d be crazy not to come back and share pics of this beauty. I managed to snag this baby from @Dr_Diesel just about a month ago, while Loupe Troop was back up for a brief couple of hours, and I just got her in after being resized by DK. Anyways, I love her. She’s absolutely beautiful!! The red spinels are so juicy and vibrant, and the whole ring is so beautifully made. I think she deserves a name. Time to put my thinking cap on…

Here are the details directly from @Dr_Diesel’s original post:
It was crafted by an Armenian goldsmith and the workmanship is top-notch. The ideal diamond optics and icy-white color are a constant fireworks show and the clean, saturated, beautifully cut red spinels sparkle like mad.

- 1.10 E VS1 August Vintage Old Mine Cushion (Lab grown diamond) 6.36x6.33x4.09mm with GIA report.
https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=6227965014
- 1.48tcw Natural, untreated Royal Red Spinel (10 x 3mm diamond-cut rounds)
- 18k yellow gold
- Size 4.75 (formerly a size 7).

And here are some of mine.
(I didn’t realize until after I took this one that there was still some polishing material on there from DK’s bench. Oh well, still sharing it. lol.)

In my mind I’m remembering this ring as the last LT sale.

Every time I see an AV cut I think, if I ever do get a diamond down the line, I’ll probably aim for an AV. Sigh.

The photos with the two tiny shroomies melt my heart, they’re so cute.

I’m pretty sure it was the last LT sale, or at least the last one publicly broadcasted.

The AV’s are gorgeous! I never thought a diamond could make my heart sing until I saw the old cut August vintage line. The AVC was the first on my bucket list (hello, Clover), and then I fell in love with an AVR that went through two PS owners before I was finally able to call her mine. And now I have this beauty too. I feel very lucky indeed!:mrgreen::mrgreen: If you ever do decide on a diamond, I can’t recommend them enough.

Thank you for your shroomie comment. :kiss2: Aren’t they just precious?! I couldn’t resist!

Love!!!:kiss2: saw this on IG the other day, thought it was how you set your 2ct. But, NO, true to your blingtastic self, this is something extra! I envy your well crafted collection & this new addition fits right in!
I really love the slope/slant (what do you call it?) of the halo---that side profile! I'm dead!!

How I love special Pser-to-PSer finds! It's too funny because your aesthetic is so unique and identifiable (we all know your rings on DK's insta before you even share them), and this one looks like you had it made. I just love me a chunky CS halo. This is gorgeous... congrats on the purchase @elle_71125, and congrats on the sale @Dr_Diesel!!

It brings me so much joy to see you enjoying it! The pleasure is so very mutual!

....and these photos are simply amazing! You captured so much of nature's incredible richness and texture - and pairing it with those little mushrooms makes for a stunningly beautiful composition!

I know, right?! You’d think I’d have seen it and said “maybe this is going to be too similar to what I have planned for my 2ct project...” but nope. I said something more along the lines of “Oh my gosh, that’s stunning, and I have to have it!!!” Game, set, match!

I love the angle / slant of the halo too. The crown is perfectly chubby and it continues down into that delicious slope. Such a gorgeous profile view (which I can take zero credit for, but can appreciate greatly).

Thank you! :kiss2: It’s so funny because this is very much a me ring, and I had zero part in designing it. Clearly, it was meant to be. :D And I’ll second you on the love for a chunky CS halo (or any chunky halo for that matter)…just delicious! :lickout:

Aw, thank you for saying that! I know you originally had it made for your SO, and it’s very clear to me how much thought and effort you put into all the tiny details. The ring was exquisitely made, and I truly love it!

And thank you for the compliment on my photos. I enjoy taking pictures of bling with differing plant life. Especially with things like moss or mushrooms.

Very pretty!
Thank you so much! :kiss2:

Dialing in the angles until the crown and the halo became a contiguous slope was actually a lot of fun!

It was kind of an experiment…so I’m ecstatic to hear that you enjoy that feature as much as I did.

This all makes me so happy!
