I always get excited when I see an update in this thread... that halo is just crazy gorgeous! The sparkle must be visible from space. Loving the rich berry red tone of the garnet as well. Will you wear this for Christmas (if you celebrate it)?

Aw, thank you! I honestly couldn't resist that halo. I mean, it's made of the most perfect little old mine cuts! It does look like the perfect Christmas ring so pretty good odds on me wearing it for the big day (aka: my favorite day of the year).

I just picked up this beauty from Ella’s Vintage Gems on Instagram.
It’s an antique ring from the Victorian period. A red garnet surrounded by the prettiest halo of old mine cut diamonds.

Specs:
- Approx 1ctw VS, G-H old mine cut diamonds
- Garnet has wear associated with age
- Ring dimensions 15x20mm (5.6mm height)
- 14k yellow gold
- Size 6.75 (for now)

Thank you! I certainly have an eye for expensive gems. I saw a reel on Instagram the other day with several different emerald rings, and of course the one I liked was like $50k! Damn PS for giving me expensive taste on my much smaller budget.

I did buy this paraiba and purple sapphire Lily ring from Cecile Raley Designs. I think she had it listed in her shop for like 3 seconds before I saw it and HAD to have it.

I believe the center is a 3.5mm paraiba and the small outside stones are 1.5mm paraibas. The purple sapphires are all 3mm.
