Ooohhh! I'm really interested in what you've got planned for the Paraiba and muzo emerald
I miss having my (lab) emerald from Gene but I’m not having any luck finding my dream cushion cut emerald yet either (and, unfortunately, I don’t have limitless bling funds). So when I saw desertrose post a bunch of emeralds from her Tucson trip, I was all over it.
Muzo emerald:
1ct
6mm x 5.8mm
Of course, I would be crazy not to have picked up some pinks (or am I crazy for adding even more pinks to my collection? ).
The oval pair:
Burmese spinel
1.31tcw
~5.7mm x 4.3mm
The single round:
Mahenge spinel
.51ct
4.9mm
I also picked up this beautiful oval paraiba from desertrose.
.86ct
6.5mm x 5.3mm
Ahh, the perfect color and glow!
Ha, thank you! I can honestly say, I would never have seen myself here just 10 years ago so anything’s possible. Just gotta take it one addictive gem at a time.HI:
OHMIGOD I'm super jeali! I want your adventures!!!!!!!
cheers--Sharon
Thank you! It has a lovely glow to it and I am excited to set it so I can admire it on my finger. Now I just need to figure out how to set it.All fabulous additions to your collection, my friend! But I'm particularly happy for you that you found an emerald!! I look forward to seeing how you set him (or her).
Dibs noted. Though in all honesty, I already have a couple people on that list.If you ever part with that LM purple sapphire I call DIBS!
These rings are gorgeous! I can't wait to see the little hearts! I love this feminine halo.

I am so in awe of your collection, this thread is such a beautiful happy place to visit and revisit and revisit and revisit……..
Oh well now that is just beyond spectacular!! I lurrrrve Sweet Pea's color, size, and twinkle. What a perfect compliment the mounting and diamonds are! Big congrats and enjoy!! You should share this baby over on the rainbow thread. I think we're on pink!
Such a beauty, pretty and classic!!! Congratulations!
Thank you! I love a classic halo…and a unique halo…and a bold halo..and…all halos, really.
That gallery is stunning! And the stone is so yummy. 'Twas meant to be!! Kudos!!
Loving the latest additions to your collection!
And no, you are not the only one who amasses gems and not set them!
I determined to set more of the nicer stones that I have this year, after not being able to set the ones I had planned due to the package being stuck in the post for months.
However, luck is not on my side, as the package I sent to the bench I use in China in April 2022, containing some of the stones I wanted to set last year, is stuck in the post somewhere for nearly 2 months, again!

Thank you! I'm terrible about finding the right settings for my loose gems (hence all the custom work), but I really did luck out with this one. A perfect fit!
Now, if only I could be so lucky all the time, I wouldn't have 3 empty settings sitting in my jewelry box.
Now you'll just have to have 3 more beautiful stones cut to fit them!
