Thank you so much! It really was a long and frustrating process for me. I'm so, so happy to see all my hard work actually paid off in the end. A big part of that is the David Klass jewelry team, of course. They were invaluable in helping me bring my vision to life.

I actually decided on a bright pink tourmaline. I think the colors played best together.


This is the design. It’s all going to be in one color, white gold.

Actually, no. I couldn’t figure out what to do with them so I eventually sold them. They really were gorgeous so I hope the person who bought them found a way to let them shine.

Sure. It’s a 2.07ct Mahenge spinel. I picked it up from GranGem on Etsy. I’ve actually had it for a couple years now but I haven’t gotten around to setting it yet (waiting for inspiration to strike).

I saw this rough in Jeff’s recent gem scoop and I just couldn’t resist getting one for myself.

Light to Medium tsavorite garnet.


This is my piece. It’s medium saturation and should cut somewhere between 1ct - 1.7ct.

Beautiful! Is that Jeff Davies? Whats the experience like for buying rough? Do you pay for the rough and then pay for the cutting fees?

This is actually from Jeff White. I don‘t believe he sells rough as is so each purchase is also a commissioned cut. Jeff gave me an idea of size and shape as well as the total cost.

Once you agree to the price, you would pay a non-refundable deposit.
The gem gets cut and you can approve the final piece and pay (or pass on it but lose your deposit).

I Picked up these bright lemony yellow chrysoberyl from Yvonne’s current sale.



I‘m kinda feeling the way they pair with my Jeff White spinel. While this mahenge is bright, it’s not as intense as some of my other spinels so I wanted to pair it with a color that wouldn’t overtake it. I think these little chrysoberyls look perfect. What do you guys think?
