Elle's Gemstone Adventures

Apacherose, Yvonne has several three stone rings: 1. 5mm center and 3mm side stones, 2. 4mm center and 4x3mm side stones 3. 7mm center and 4x3mm sides and 4. 7x5 center and 3mm sides. All are part of her hexagon collection.

Thanks!! Is Elle’s 3 stone the 7x5? I was wondering if it was a stock setting or if Yvonne customized it.

Yes, I believe the pink tourmaline is 7x5. It was a stock setting. I try to make my plans around her existing settings because I don't want to go through the whole CAD process. :D

ETA. To be specific, the size of the tourmaline is 7.11 x 5.28

I do the same thing with my pieces from Yvonne because it's so much easier and cheaper than having to go the CAD route. She has such a large assortment of settings that it's not exactly a hardship, lol!

Exactly! ;)2

Gorgeous sparkling rainbow! This is so inspiring to someone like me who is just starting out as an enthusiast in colored gems.

Who is doing your settings, besides David Klass and Yvonne Raley?

I actually bought the mount pre-loved from Loupe Troop. It’s really lovely in person.
Here’s a quick profile shot.

My teal tourmaline ring has a similar profile.

Such a stunning collection Elle. The Mahenge spinel is my favourite. Absolutely stunning. But the colour of that purple sapphire wow and the proportions of your pink tourmaline three stone are tdf.:love::love:

Dibs on the CVB Mahenge and the purple garnet.

Gorgeous!!!! As you know I am a huge zircon fan and yours is a dreamstone. Do you have any plans with it already?

I don’t have any fixed plans yet. I was considering a three stone ring with diamond traps.

I also have these two peach spinels that could be used as a more unconventional three stone combo...

When you hold them together, do the peaches hold their own in the sparkle dept?

You are an inspiration, Elle! I love your assortment of saturated colors and varied settings. Every ring has its own personality! And I definitely love this latest peach and blue combination. Thanks for the family photos!

Not new but I just felt like posting my 3ct mahenge spinel again. :mrgreen2:

Glad you did. It's gorgeous eye candy! :rolleyes2: The size, the color...this is definitely an heirloom jewel. :kiss2:

What a gorgeous Mahenge spinel, Elle! I love the setting with those double prongs, too :-)

Aw, thank you. I'm lucky to have her. :D

The Sienna solitaire is one of my favorites. I'm not a solitaire kind of gal (halo anyone?) but I've always wanted that one. It made me a huge fan of double claw prongs. :mrgreen2:

Your spinel is what my dreams are made of!
You're too sweet!

This page is an eye candy overload! All of your rings are gorgeous! Your purple sapphire is the perfect shade. That setting is lovely. Have fun setting your zircon!
