so heres the story, we were looking at a may 2010 wedding. there is specific venue i wanted that books up fast so i called and after running it by fi i booked a tenative 2week no obligation date. called my mom in excitment and she practically yelled at me saying that i am rushing things and i shouldnt even think about planning till 6 months before. then i got home and asked fi if he wanted to know the details (pricing, date i booked) and he said ''not really'' and changed the subject. i am devastated. i threw all my planning stuff in the closet im done until someone shows some interest. am i already being a bridezilla or am i right for being upset?

It''s okay to be upset, but you did the right thing by booking your date. That''s one of the biggest hurdles in the planning process, and now it''s done. Your FI was probably distracted and/or under the assumption that May 2010 is a long time from now, but he would be wrong Congratulations on booking your date and keep us posted. They''ll come around when they realize how soon this wedding will be, and you''ll pat yourself on the back for having the initiative to start early.
