I’ve lost good natural lighting for the day, but wanted still wanted to take and share the requested photos.


Here is a hand shot. My iPhone hates my skin tone and it’s throwing off the color balance making the stone look more green than what I’m seeing in person, but the photo still gives an idea of finger coverage

I just picked up my 7.8mm trillion tourmaline flower ring from being set by my jeweler yesterday. The stone is from Joshua at Rioux Rocks and the setting is from Kyo at jewelryhoo2 on eBay. Josh had been saving this stone to make a ring for himself and I was thrilled that he decided to sell it

Beautiful ring! The tourmaline is stunning as is the setting Trillion settings can be tough to get right, but this one is superb.

@CSpan I do think Rioux’s photos are true to color. I always have a hard time judging the color of stones from just one picture and I have asked Josh for a video of stones on his hand, just to get another perspective.
He will usually note if a stone is sold either in the listing or comments. I text him if I am interested in a particular stone and ask the price. In the case of the trillion, I asked him what he had in a blue tourmaline and he gave me a few options. I’ve bought a couple of stones from him by asking him if he happened to have what I was looking for. Hope this helps!

That is a rubellite tourmaline from Brazil. I found it online for only $112 at Cecile Raley Designs. I've had it since August 2018 and finally decided to halo it with demantoids. The center stone and the melee stones cost around the same, and the whole ring came in under $600 for sure.

Glassy jade is similar to icy jade but much more transparent. I personally prefer glassy to icy jades.

I cross post between both platforms and am available by phone or text and post that info within each post. All my photos are done in natural light and depending on what time of day it is plays a huge part in the overall look of a stone. I usually don't frequent the forums anymore but thought I would respond to your questions personally. Have a great week...
